I previously rooted using SuperOneClick. I installed OCLF v3.0. The developer forum shows support for the tab added to 2.8, so I thought I'd be ok. Anyway, I ran OneClickLagFix V1+ since V2 was unavailable. It seemed to run successfully, but I don't see any difference in speed and I want to uninstall the OneClickLagFix V1+. The problem is that the Undo OneClickLagFix V1+ is showing as Unavailable.
Can anyone tell me the steps I need to take to uninstall?
Thanks
Eric

so I had to reset my phone because of it crashing on an adroid.calander problem?
first what a pain.. I did absolutely nothing then all of a sudden the phone started doing reboot/media scanning and crashing. The only thing that worked was to go into recovery and delete all user data, then reinstall apps.
Second, now I have a re-installed phone with some of the applications working fine automatically, others I have to reinstall.
the big issue is I had the LAGFIX installed before all this happened. I now run the LAGFIX and it says "lagfix installed", when I try to remove the lag fix it says "lag fix not installed".
LagFix is definately not installed as the performance (and score) is back to original.
How do I tell the LAGFIX that LAGFIX is not installed?
I am rooted, have busybox, and sql editor installed.
ps.. if anyone can tell me how to stop the phone from randomlly turning off while your at it gets some serious props..
never mind - figured it out
So I figured it out.
I needed to restore the playlogos1 file...
which conviently you can do... wait for it...
by using the LAGFIX + program..
absolutely a great APP!!!!
Ok, so I've had a rooted NC for a while with no problems. I even flashed the quickie screamer overclock mod. Well, after I flashed the 1.1.0 update (using Decad3nce's method on the Development Forum), I started having a few problems:
1) My overclock seems to have disappeared. I was stably running up to 900 Mhz on overclock before the update, but after the update, I noticed the browser to be more sluggish. When I ran SetCPU, it reverted back to stock 300-800 Mhz. Can I safely reflash the overclock rom?
2) My Market seems screwed up. When I checked out the new 2.2 market, I noticed that 2 of my apps required updates (Kindle and Titanium Backup). I tried to update, but the apps didn't seem to want to update. In fact, when I looked at the My Apps section in the Market, I could see them on the list as "FREE" instead of "Installed" even though they were, in fact, installed (just the unupdated versions). I managed to even run these apps successfully. I decided to uninstall and redownload. However, when I tried downloading again from the Market, it would appear to try to download but it never does. In fact, when I tried to download other apps that I never had on my NC (Tweet Deck), it would not download at all (but it would also appear in My Apps list as "FREE").
Help please.
1) Yes, it is infact safe to flash the oc kernel again, I recommend the 1100mhz kernel as I have been stable on it for some time.
2) Try clearing the data for the google framework aswell as the cache for the market.

WiFi frequently disconnects on rooted NC (1.1)
I updated my autonootered NC from 1.0.1 to 1.1.0 using the Clockworks mod.
Everything seems to be working well except often when I wake the Nook up, there's no WiFi connection and it doesn't find the connection unless I turn WiFi off and then back on (in which case it'll find it and connect).
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

The 'wifi sleep bug' is reported by many and seems to be unresolved by most ... it is the primary reason many are staying on 1.01 until a really stable root comes around .. the advantages of 1.1 aren't really of much use to me, but YMMV .. the devs here are great!! but be sure you read the whole thread on something before you go for it and be sure if you are one of the first to try someone's work to realize that there is a risk ...
Hi Folks,
I've tried a couple searches and found nothing on this so far. I downloaded and installed Z4 Root on my USCC Galaxy Tab. It seems to have worked. I used Android Mate from the market and it requested SuperUser Access and I was able to grant it. I was wondering if anyone has tried to install Rom Manager and use the VZW version of Clockwork to allow installing other roms to it.
Anyone tried this?

Not sure if this is what your looking for but I just rooted and flashed ICS to my US Cellular Galaxy tab. And now it works great!
I just followed the instructions here: [HOLY CRAP][SPRINT P100] Stock to ICS - Complete Walkthrough
I've upgraded to stock 2.2. I rooted with SuperOneClick and that worked fine. I wanted to install SGSTools so I downloaded it to my phone. I tried to install it using SuperManager but it came back and said what I expected, that my phone would not install apps that did not come from the market. So back to SuperOneClick to enable Non Market Apps. It fails. So, how can I do this?
I also tried to use the AIO Captivate Toolbox but that didn't work either. I could not find the apk on my phone anywhere and the app did not show up in my app tray. I had this on 2.1 as well.
Any advice would be appreciated. Mostly just trying to learn.
Did you try using super one click? There an option to add side loading with it.
Finally got the question answered. SuperOneClick finally worked. I rebootedd twice and was able to respond to the superuser request prompt. Successfully installed SGSTools using SuperManager.
I have installed and run the above, but it did not automatically re-boot . Ii had to do it manually. I now have the z4root icon in my apps. Question is do I have to run it again?? How do I know if my phone (Samsung GT-19000) has been rooted?? I have downloaded Set cpu, but this does not want to run because of "Superuser Permissions" ?
As you can tell I am a newbie!!!
Any advice help would be great
If SetCPU won't run due to SuperUser permissions, odds are that you are not rooted. Check to see if you have SuperUser amongst your apps. If no, then you are not rooted.
It sounds like z4root didn;t work or you rebooted before it had finished, therefore you could try to run it again and let it complete the process. However, I don't think z4root is used much anymore. I myself used SuperOneClick to root my i9000 and had no trouble at all. You can search for it and download it here at XDA.
Good luck
Easiest is to install superuser from the market and titanium backup. If it will ask for permissions (and say so) you will know you are rooted
if not, try something proper like super one click root (before though let us know your ROM and etc etc etc etc)
(rschneck, not having the superuser app doesn't mean necessary you are not rooted if I remember correctly )
