2) i flash roms regularly, so i need to save my contacts in my laptop or make a back up of my contacts.
pz help me out...thanx in advance...
you can download active sync at microsoft.com just google it , otherwise copy all contacts to sim card
There are several solutions for your problem: Backup software like SPB Backup, SK Tools... They create self extracting backup files or backup files that can be restored using the corresponding program (in case of SK Tools). Another possibility is to use a software that exports your contacts to a xml file. And of course you can download active synch from the MS website.

What's the best way of transferring my contacts from my MDA Vario to my new MDA Vario III. It looks like my old one has them stored on the phone rather than the SUM.
I tried Activesync but this said I don't have Outlook installed for the Vario III.
How have you guys done it ?
Vario III rocks
search for pim.vol -its like that on my uni - might be the same...

Easist way? Download the Outlook trial version, install, sync both phones, do a system restore.
I use an app called EasyHelper
http://easyhelper-contact-sms-backup.en.softonic.com/pocket
Easy to use and works

...and that's the EASIEST way???
Not if you ask me.....why don't you just use DotFred's PPCPIMbackup utility (Posted HERE) to backup the contacts (and anything else), copy the backup file to your desktop PC via ActiveSync, then copy onto the new device and re-run PPCPIMbackup to restore it all again....
Now, THAT'S the easiest way!!!!
Mark.
Or you can use the 15 day trial version of Jeyo Mobile Extender. I used this to transfer my texts and call history from my Vario to my Vario III.

backup

you backup contacts when you sync with your pc
wiki page for flashing rom backup stuff and the works
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kovsky&redi
Backing up msgs requires extra apps. Flexilis works, as does smsOrganizer.
I use Microsoft My Phone service - it uploads all your stuff then you can add it all again after a cusom rom flash etc - it has never failed me http://sn1-p1.myphone.microsoft.com/mkweb/Start.po
i tried that microsoft site, but all contact will update on net, so how can i save it in my computer??

SPB backup.
It's not free but it's the best app.
When backing up untick system box though.
"i tried that microsoft site, but all contact will update on net, so how can i save it in my computer??"
if you sync with outlook on the computer they are backup that way
I used the PIM Back up, copied it to my PC, flashed X1, copied it back to X1, and restored. It backed up and restored all of my contacts including contact pictures and my messages.
Im with "Im Packing". PIM Backup is not just a free software, but a very useful one as well. Use forum search or google for the side you get it. Read about flashing in the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 ROM development. There you'll get information concerning flashing. Have fun!
-First download the HTC Sync 2.00(only 2.00 works!)http://www.htc.com/www/supportviewnews.aspx?dl_id=933&news_id=729
-Then download the DroidExplorer from here http://de.codeplex.com/releases/50997/download/144864
When you run haret open the droidexplorer and push the connect button (or it will auto connect).it will open you the whole partition!to put files go to sdcard and drag the files!also you can access the whole partition to change the boot animation, the drivers,theframework-res.apk and more!!!

MIUI is based on CM10. Only stock roms support PC Suite connection.

Why on earth don't you have all your contacts tied to your Google account for auto-backup and restore?
thx but don't want to...
is there a way or not?

As @Adam77Root stated, LG PC Suite only supports 'Stock' ROMs - so, no, there is no way. Not letting Google back up your data removes a huge part of the point of having an Android phone.
You can look at the contacts file yourself and see if you can extract the data manually and then input it again by hand.
thx
then get to work...
Problem solved
I finaly found a way but u need an extra phone (LG) with android
1.Open LG suite with (other LGmobile) and make a backup only contacts
2.Save others phone contact.ecbk somewhere else expample desktop.

and put ur phone contact.ecbk
4.Go to LG suite and make restore (the other phone have your contacts now!!!!)
5.Try with any android program to backup em now correctly or gmail em!!(i used super backup)
6.After that copy others mobile contact.ecbk to C:\Users\PCname\Documents\LG PC Suite\backup\LG-P880\2014-05-28T10_00_49\PCSuite_backup_20140528T100052\Contact and restore (other phone now have their original contacts
