Hi guys, I just got into this Android on X1 thing. I found that my X1 is not charging its battery whether connected to USB plug or wall charger. Is there a problem with my setting? Or should I use a particular Windows Mobile Rom to work with my Android? I am currently using WM 6.5 as the Rom for my X1.
Connect charger to your Phone while Run Android
Hey, still doesn't work.
I Mean Connect Chager & Charge your Phone on Winmo..
Then Run Haret while it's still chaging
if not Solved try different kernel
This is the only way?! Wow...
Yes...
but if you doesn't like to do that...
you can change your kernel to Seandean V3c kernel..
you'll be able to charge android without plug charger to phone in winmo
Sounds good. Where can I find a Seandean V3c's newest Kernel? Thanks bro.

What other choices do I have? Seandean's kernel is a little old. I think it might not be as fast?

Holy God!
This kind of freak just happened to me !
You don't even want to know about it ,damn freaking
Today I JUST found my Milestone wouldn't charge connected to wall-charger with system's on.
This thing Only charges when it is on usb connected to laptop or pc ,what's more surperising is that you can charge this phone with its power down.
I have Googled the entire internet, negative result.
So PLEASE someone help me !
i would go to recovery menue and wipe the hole device, if that wont help, i would consider of using another android rom, there are so much good roms here, all better then the custom rom
maybe that helps

thx but all that u have mentioned is uesless,i even refleshed bootloader, did no help.
what do you mean everything he said its useless? have you tried reflashing SBF or just updating latest CM over (non-androidiani) OpenRecovery?
Because, it looks like its more of a custom rom problem than anything else?

Did it cross your mind that it could be the charger?
If chgarger supplies less than 500mA, phone will show charging but will not be able to top up battery. I would also recommend to try another charger.
You say that when phone is OFF it charges but not when ON? Than i can confirm what is the cause. Like somone mentioned before, charger does not support enough power. How i know this?
It also happens to me with my CAR charger. Phone only charges if it is OFF but not when it is ON. So gues you and i need a stronger charger. Or maybe it is just defective and was once working.
yeah, sounds like your charger is busted.
the only other thing i can think to try is go into the applications menu and clear the data for the app usb.apk and then force stop, then reboot.

i don't know, but the charger seems to work fine on any others,i've tried with my iphone and sony mp4 player, both good.
another problem i just found ,gave me a very bad feeling about this.
that is my phone's battery indictor now has only two levels, one is 20% the other is 50%,even if i charged the phone when it's off.
i've reflash variant sbfs, no help at all.
as i can see,usb service is running smoothly fine on each rom, original roms.
i tink ur charger is busted. try buyin a new charger and see wat happens. at the same time i tink sumtin is wron with ur battery too as you said that it shows only 20% and 50%. maybe ur charger also busted your battery.

HI Guys,
Im a Noob in the whole android rooting and modding business. Had my friends do it for me. However, here is a new problem that i would like some expert advise on. Above mentioned are my phone details. And here is the problem description:
When i use the normal wall socket charger for my phone, it shows the charging Icon, shows the status as AC charging, but the charge percentage does not increase at all. If it were 33%, it would go lower but won't climb a single percent. The battery also does not feel warmer(which does in usual circumstances during a phone charge).
Here is the funny bit, the moment I plugin the USB data cable and charge via my laptop it works.
USB debug Mode is off.
Kindly advise!
Is it the original cable ???? have you tryed another one.
I had many issue with cable not from SE when i had an x10
Does that not indicate that the wall charger is the probable culprit .

Agree with above.
Sounds like there is a hardware problem, whether the charger isn't providing enough power to the phone or something like that, it doesn't sound like something that would be caused by software.
I shall try the service center. thanks guys.

I had some similar issues with another Android phone. The problem was in the charger, too much noise was bugging the phone. If you have Fast Charge option enabled in 4.2.2, the load on charger increases along with the noise in charging line. Not sure if it's your case, just sharing some experience.
Are you using a laptop to charge? I know sometimes when you charge through the laptop, media sync can chew quite a bit of cpu cycles.

True, but only if you have USB data transfer enabled. Otherwise no data connection between the two and no media sync either.
no bro, i use default.
i have test with too much rom, after flash new rom i plug charge soon and ... lag

Bro, the problem is in one of the following:
1. charger (try different charger of plug the phone to your computer's USB - same result?)
2. phone's charging circuit (not easy to fix)
3. battery's charging circuit (try different battery, each one has own charge control logic - same result?)

i think that is not my problem because on stock rom 2.3.5 and on Doc's master 4.04, my phone work normally
i think problem is on code of rom
what is your opinion?

If same thing happens with different ROMs, then most likely it's not a software related issue.
If you feel it is software/rom related try "timelines usage" app (available on playstore)
That can tell you what task is occupying your cpu.
I think the issue is battery/hardware related which is aggravated by most roms..except the one. Timelines usage might help to narrow down ...

Re: charger lag
Another reason (not as likely) could be that the ROMs you installed had the Battery Bar option and Charging Animation enabled. I use the battery bar at the top of the status bar instead of using a battery icon or text, and the animations while charging slow my device a bit. I can't recall if the charging animation is enabled by default. If it is hardware-related, it is interesting that you are not seeing this issue while on GB or ICS.
I am currently using Faktory OS rom w/ naa-jb-06 kernel and it discharges while charging. I dont think its the wire or the usb that's causing this cause last time i was using a rom w/ stock kernel and it works. PLS HELP! :crying::crying::crying:
Are you using a different usb connector than the one that came with the phone? I have issues like that before just buy another cable, buy another cable if the one your using can only be used as charger and not for transferring files.

I am using a Galaxy S3 charger cause i lost the original one.
why don't you use the battery calibration app, maybe it is a problem of the ROM you are using
I also think it's cable problem.. The cable still can charge, but with low current.
With stock kernel, it still can charge because the battery drain of JB kernel+ROM is usually higher than stock kernel+ROM (of course, it depends on configurations, app installed, etc, etc).
So, try another charger & cable
Can you charge it when the phone is off? (Power off and connect)
Ive experianced same when my micro usb port was broken ,now ive fixed it and everything is fine(charging light turned on but still draining batt but when i replug the cable it could charge for couple of minutes...)
