So when I go to play WWF, I always get something that should be an ad popping up. However, as I have an ad blocker all it shows is a URL. I have no way of getting it to go away and if it does go away another on pops up. I'm running CoreDroid 1.6 on NAND but its been happening once 1.5. Any help?

I think that we need to replace the host file since that is the file that Ad - Free messes with to block ads.

Do you plan on releasing the source of this app? I had a project I was working on for a forum, but ran into some issues. Some example coding would definitely be nice.
Very nice but no way to bookmark forums = no good for me
I love it! ill use it when I can't get to a computer. Very good for show off threads because it takes 1 less step to upload pics!

Hi guys,
this is my first post in Nexus S section. Wildfire is my previous device.
This is an ADblock file that will block almost all annoying advertisement (except those app made by Chinese from China [it do block, but not all]) in your app and browser as well.
Advantages
Free at all, does not use system service, update is not required.
Attachments
HOST.zip: Updated on June 2011
HOST1.zip: Updated on June 2010 (try this one if the first one doesn't block some of your app ads.)
Instruction:
1. Unzip the file and you will get a file named HOSTS.
2. Copy and paste the HOSTS via root explorer to system/etc.
3. Reboot system, and open an app with advertisement and you will see the advertisement is blocked.
Thanks for viewing.
Please hit a "Thanks" if you like it!
Would this work on sgs miui as well?

This script blocked ads from 21k site. It is like windows, they built in the feature but lack of ad block file.
I checked root tools from market, it doesn't block much of the site. It is paid app..
Adfree use service, this doesnt. If you use task killer, it wont kill.

No one here uses adblock we all use "adfree" which is free and does EVERYTHING.
Personally, I have recently decided to keep the ads. They are the sole reason we have some quality games especially free ones. Its not like we are in abundance with android app developers, if simply having a small ad will keep them going, please support them.
I just got my Vivid Monday and coming from the Inspire I was used to having the built in flashlight on my phone. I noticed for some reason HTC left it off this phone. Here is the HTC Flashlight apk for those would like it. To install just download and use a file manager like astro or es file explorer to install.
Awesome TYVM. I thought it was Very odd that HTC forgot and or excluded this in this phone.
Thank you very much!

Got an apk for Teeter?
Here is a Teeter apk that has always worked for me, including on non HTC devices. Not sure if it will still work with newer devices, but it is worth a shot. Just place on the sd card and install from there using a file manager.

I have yet to try it, but the main thing is if the screen resolution still works. Flashlight is a proper qHD app, so it looks like.
Trying now, will report back.
EDIT: Scales up beautifully, but the ball position is screwed up.
I'm not sure you will get this one to install, but this one is higher resolution.

Anyone else noting issues with Pandora Radio? I'm getting occasional (about 2-4 per song) micro-pauses or skips. Also getting weirdness at the end of songs, sometimes it just doesnt play the ends of songs.
I did see a forum in the AT&T thread about this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40612275
UPDATE:
Problem solved. If you have a custom /syetm/etc/hosts file, or any type of ad-blocking that is what is causing the Pandora audio glitches. Sad but true.

I noticed this as well. It seems every new HTC device experience's this until it's fixed by our community or app updates.
All my devices did this for a while and then was fixed.
HTC Hero, EVO 4g, EVO 3d, EVO Design, EVO LTE 4g, and now here on the One. I'm stock rooted.

The problem is ad-blocking hosts file. Removing the file and going back to the hosts file with just localhost fixes the Pandora problem.

Pretty sure that the same version of Pandora runs fine on other phones, even with ads blocked. I'm not sure what it is about the One that causes this.
