Hello everybody,
i would like to have a transparent app list on my TW Launcher.
I already noticed [MOD] TouchWizGTG Launcher but the project is dead and it has many other stuff i don't need (i only need the transparent app list) and it would be good to have an up-to-date release.
However, how to realize the transparent background?
I already decompiled the apk file using apktools
Thanks and best regards,
Danny.
EDIT: Got the app bubbles removed (just replaced some mainmenu_...bg files in the drawable-hdpi folder with transparent png's)
But I still need some information about the app drawer background, where to set the transparency to get it 50% transparent?
I know: There are just 2 characters to modify (aarrggbb value) - but which value?!

Hi is there a app or setting to change the icon and Widget spacing? Iwant to put them closer, there is so much space wasted.
Many third party launchers such as launcher pro or adw allow you to adjust the amount of columns and rows used allowing you to add more icons.

how about an edit so you don't have to run another app
I would think there would be a configuration file with spacing in it that you could edit so you don't have to run another app. There are a lot of good launcher apps but the only thing I don't like about the home screen is the spacing and don't want to have to have another app running just to resolve that.
What rom are you running? If you are rooted there are roms that have stock but only icons spacing changed. Can't find post right now. If you aren't rooted you'll need to write to HTC to change their launcher.

Is anyone working on or have a themed TouchWiz Launcher? I like the TW launcher because it is lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of memory (even with the friends widget active). But it is not very customizable.
The only modified one I have seen is the Crush TW launcher which has a 5 icon dockbar, and I like it but it doesn't allow me to add the friends widget or set custom pictures for icons.
Can the normal TW launchers framework me modified through Ninja Morph, etc?
What are you looking for?
Just a Tw launcher with a 4 icon customizable dock that maybe allows folders and custom shortcuts. Maybe with dark themed touchwiz widgets. I thought something was out there...but am having trouble finding anything.

The TeamCarbon Steel Blue theme has a blue themed touch wiz launcher that has a customizable dockbar. (I also use BetterCut to create my own customer app icons.)

Good day, find it a tad odd that you're having trouble getting the friends widget to work with my launcher, BuddiesNow should work, and nobody has reported any problems so far. If you're looking for dark themed touchwiz widgets, then it's not the launcher that's responsible for that, but the widgets themselves. I'd suggest the Vibrant's TW widgets, they're the darkest themed out of all of em, I have a modded Vibrant BuddiesNow in my thread. And as mentioned above, BetterCut can be used to edit some images, though from the TouchWizLauncher itself, only folders, the App Drawer icon, Google Search widget I think, and I guess the page dots are what can be changed.

Thank you for the advice and your work. I finally did get the TW widgets to work with your launcher. I had to push them into system/apps with root explorer before I pushed your launcher. Its all good now. I have been pushing items with root explorer because amend zips will not work with my edify CWR.
I am currently running the Miuiwiz Rom now, but I am going to use your launcher when I go back to Com Rom or EF. Thanks for the response.
I am working on customizing the android open source code's Launcher2 application. The modification I have brought to the Launcher2 application is such that, when I install an APK with some drawable resources , it would change the icons for some applications(browser, calculator and calendar) in Launcher screen and in home screen(if the application exists as shortcut) - as part of theming.
I have created a section in Settings application from which a user can apply new theme which would change these icons. While the user applies the new theme, a temp directory is created in Settings app which holds this newly applied icons. From this temp directory, Launcher app takes the icon resources and applies it to these applications on device reboot. But at the moment of applying the Themes from settings app, it does nothing in order that the Launcher app does some kind of refresh.
In a nutshell, the issue I have here is when I press the 'Change theme' button from my installed application, it does not change the icons immediately. Instead, I need to close the emulator and open it again in order to see the icons modified in Home and Launcher screens.
Why does this happen such that I need to restart the emulator to see the changed icons? What is the workaround I have for this? What are the classes and methods in ICS Launcher2 app, such that I can do some kind of refresh of Launcher app.
Any help in this regard would be much appreciated as I have been looking to fix this fr quite some days!!.
Regards, Anees
Hi.
I'm using jarvisjerk's TouchWizLite ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2671116
Some icons in this ROM are replaced with android icons.
I want to replace: battery, contacts, phone, camera, clock, calculator, SPlanner icons.
They are too oldschoolish and roundet but most icons are squarish.
Most themes suggest to install additional launchers and software. BetterCut, Desktop VisualizeR, ADW Launcher, or "LauncherPRO.
But I chose this ROM for its minimalism and battery friendliness. And I don't like to have 5 apps running just to replace 7 icons.
My wife has the same n7000 phone with original ROM.
Can I backup icons theme with some program like Titanium backup.
Or there are some other way?
Question with battery is solved with this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397545
So there are 6 icons left!
Thanks for help.

well the easiest way is to install nova launcher, (personal favorite) and install a theme like: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.photox.touchwhiz
the longer way is to manually change the png images in the apks themselves
Thanks for the reply.
I think coping icons is too complicated. I'll install launcher. I
I am using a HTC One M8 running CM14.1, rooted and S-OFF.
I designed my own app icons that I want to use for my apps. I have them in png files exactly the same resolution as the files I extracted from the original APKs. I have tried doing some research how to set my images as the icons for my apps, but every Google search just points you at gimmicky free apps for non-rooted devices that just create shortcuts on the home screen. I actually want to change the app icon system-wide, so that my icons will show up in the app drawer with my icons too.
Does anyone know how I should go about doing this? I am not opposed to a significant time investment. Thanks in advance for any advice.
