There doesn't seem to be an option to disable the fade in effect of the ringtone when you receive a call. This is really annoying. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Other than that and the fact that I cannot use a proxy for certain wifi connections I'm happy with my phone.

I have configured my Tilt to connect to my home Wifi network, and I want to leave Wifi running on the Tilt at all times so that I can just connect automatically when I get home.
However when I do this I get annoying notifications every 2 seconds about wireless access points in my vicinity. Is there any way to disable this notification for all networks?
Thanks.....
Goto Sounds & Notifications. You can disable all notifications for "Wireless network detected" event there.
And be ready to have a dead battery by the time you get home.
There should be an option where it says to not show this message again. On the notification**

Thanks, I tried that. However all notification options ('Display message on screen', 'vibrate', etc.) were already disabled for 'Wireless network detected'. However, I still get the notifications when a new network is detected! gar....
Yes, I think the ignore will only ignore until you toggle wifi again, or will only ignore networks which have alrday been dismissed. Anyone know for sure.
In any case, I too find this annoying use AEB+ to map the wifi on/of toggle to a long press on the Contacts softkey, then it is virtually hassle free to turn it on and off.
Try This
Here is a program i made that fixes this problem for the HTC touch pro, let me know if it works on your device.

Hi all,
Sometimes I can't connect to data connection (GPRS or 3G) but my tytn II has an absolute fit continually telling me it is trying to connect and or can't connect. I can't do anything with the phone when this occurs as the notifications take priority over everything else. Is there a way of disabling these notifications so I can simply get on with using the device without these continual annoying pop ups?
Thank you.
I was wondering this too. It really messes with pointui
I will third that question.
Very annoying to have that pop in front of the GPS software while on my motorcycle. The less I have to tap on while riding the better!
Hello everybody,
I am looking for a software for roaming profile. It should work like when I am at home it should use my home signal and automatically set the ring tone, volume, etc. and when I go to office it should pick up that tower signal and set the profile to vibration.
I know this feature is there in some Nokia model. And for WM device there is a software called CellProfiler which is not working for me. Please let me know if there any software having this feature. Thanks.

Anyone know how to remove this annoying notification? I can't seem to find anything related to it in the phone settings.
I did find two apps/services on the phone (Wi-Fi Calling Settings, WfcService) but could only uncheck the notifications for the first one, however it did nothing.
I'm on T-Mobile if that matters...
Don't know about you but wouldn't you want to know when you're on Wi-Fi instead of cellular?

Of course! But I already know I'm connected to Wi-Fi. I don't want something forever stuck in my notification drawer when I already know that my calls are going to go through Wi-Fi. This notification is basically always there if I'm connected to Wi-Fi.
I've definitely narrowed it down to WfcService. However it's not letting me disable notifications. Is there any way around it?
If you set it to wifi calling, cellular preferred you won't see the icon. I hate having so many icons on top so I'm obsessed with keeping as little as possible. It's a shame that it has to be at the expense of using features.

I didn't even think of that. Thanks!
Also, try pressing and holding on the actual notification itself, it will bring you to a menu where you can disable notifications and other options. I haven't tried it cause I always disable WiFi calling anyway, so yeah.... I posted some screenshots as to what the Menu looks like when the notification is pressed and held from other apps.
I have a regular Z3 so let me know if this isn't happening on the play.
So whenever I connect to wifi the phone puts a wifi connected notification and to which network. I disabled all wifi notifications and it still does it. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of this permanently? It's not crazy annoying but I just hate seeing useless notifications show up randomly.
