if it is possible, it would be sweet to have a sense tab for google voice like the verizon visual voice mail tab
+1 I would use it if someone wants to add

Hi Everyone,
I have a sprint touch pro and I am using Google voice as my voice mail provider. Since I no longer use sprint as the voice mail provider I don't get the nice voice mail notification on my phone. Is there a way to hack the phone so that when someone leaves me a voice mail on Google voice I would get the notification on my phone? I hope I explained this correctly and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
the easiest thing you can do is have google send you a sms when you get a vm. just go to google voice and click on settings (under general notifications)
Use YouMail.com , it does exactly what you're looking for, and you can still use your google voice number.
does anyone know of any one app that can set only CERTAIN numbers in my contact list to be called using google voice and includes a dialer as well? i'll gladly pay for an app that includes this functionality. i kind of can't believe something like this wasn't included in the stock app?

You can set Google Voice to ask you if you want to use it to make the call every time you try to call someone.
yeah, i had that option selected for a while, but it got to be mega annoying. thanks, though!

Try Voice Plus Free from the market. You have to add which numbers you DO NOT want to call with Google Voice.

Google Voice Dialer by cpedia mobile claims to be able to do this.
Hi,
One of the features i miss from my iphone is visual voicemail...
I know there's a way to get google voice visual voicemail to work with your phone, but google voice doesn't work in Canada...
I have a Bell i9000 unlocked to Fido, does anyone know if there's a way i could get visual voicemail on my sgs???
Thanks
Sorry i only know of google voice which is so much better. I dont miss "visual VM" at all.
Only wishing for a better Exchange email client and improved copy&paste (guess that is what 2.3 will bring).

There's a service called "hullomail" which gives you visual voicemail, but it's not available in Canada yet. hullomail.com
If you have inclusive long-distance calling to the US (I can't remember whether Fido offer that or not - it's a while since I used Fido) then you might find you can make it work for you.
I noticed the "call phone" option is now appearing in gmail using skyfire. Is there a voice plugin that the nexus one can use? The regular voice plugin doesn't work.
Does anybody know? This would give us free calls from Canada to USA and vice versa. Is there a plugin or can one be ported to nexus one?
Hello, I have used voice on my s2 and s4, but cannot seem to get it working on my 510(sprint/boost).
The website at one point says it works with prepaid, and at another says it doesn't. Curious if anyone has it working. I use it for the visual voicemail, and sprints version costs three dollars a month. I know, cheap, but there you go. Can I do this?
Thanks,
David
I'm using Google Hangouts for calls and texting on my phone (using my google voice number) and it seems to work just great. You just need to download the dialer add-on for hangouts.
Haven't tried the voice app, though.
