Clock in top bar wrong time - LG Optimus 2x

Hi guys,
Thought this might be a common problem but did a search and found nothing...
Just got my 2x today and the clock in the top bar is an hour slow, even though the clock on the clock/weather widget is the right time... anyone else have this and know how to fix?

Hi mate.
Had a similar problem, although my time was auto from Vodafone NZ carrier in settings it was out by 1hour. Thought it was just a UK purchased phone not knowing about NZ dst. I turned off auto date/time, switched time zone just below to Wellington NZ, then flicked auto back on.
Sorted.
sent from a kiwi Galaxy Tab

Worked perfectly, cheers.

Clock always changing time randomly

Hey All, I've have recently flashed Touch-it V4 to my Xperia, but now the clock keeps on randomly changing the time on me. Usually puts it out by an hour, or sometimes 15mins. I've tried putting day light savings time on, selecting my city etc but still randomly changes the time on me.
Also noticed if I set my country, it will randomly change itself as well. Eg. set it to New Zealand, then go back and check and it will be on Fiji??
Anyone know how to fix this?
Is super annoying as messes up my alarms & appointments, nearly missed my flight the other day.
Cheers
Same problem here. Seems to be a TF3D bug. It doesn't seem to recognize daylight savings time. It keeps switching me to the "Bogota, Lima" timezone which is 1 hour behind my real timezone of Eastern Standard (US).
I'll have to use a different panel for now to keep my schedule/alarm on time, probably the SPB Mobile Shell.
Alternatively I could just use "Bogota, Lima" time and set it 1 hour ahead, but then every time I sync the phone, the time will be reset to 1 hour behind and throw my calendars off.
Yea is a right pain, fiddled round with it so much but still can't get it to work
uGo check your iGo?
I had that problem and found it was iGo set to an incorrect time zone, so each time I started the program it changed the time.

I had this problem, it was so anoying with syncing
go to the "settings">select "phone">select the "time zone" tab, and untick automaticly change timezone or whatever.
I have a htc diamond, but should be similar/same as they both WM

try ticking the check mark...it worked for mee and then soft reset
I'm fairly certain it's a TF3D bug and whether or not that option is ticked won't make a difference. If you live in a time zone where they observe daylight savings, touching the time on the TF3D home tab will change your time zone to one that's 1 hour behind. If you go back into your clock settings and set it to the correct time zone, it'll be ok until the next time you press the clock in TF3D.
So the short term solution is to never press the time =)
SMS timestamp too
I'm using Touch-It 4.0 II.
I'm also experiencing my time shifting by an hour and that my system clock and alarm settings keeps resetting itself back to Bogota, Lima.
Also, my incoming text messages' timestamp is now always 5 hrs in the past.
Is the clock setting from Touchflo 3D supposed to be aligned with the system clock and alarm settings?
Got the same problem before. Able to fix it by making sure the time settings on my computer where i actively sync my phone are the same. That is time, date, time zone, and if DST settings are checked or not.

Is def a problem with touchflow, flashed generic rom back & now phone is working fine again
+1 on this...
Time zone
I read somewhere that the reason text messages were coming in 5 hrs off was that the Rogers tower was doing its own 5 hr timezone offset on the messages so I ended up getting messages with a timestamp of 5 hrs ago. But I never experienced this problem on my Vox so I don't know. I haven't tried to reflash my ROM to a generic and receive text messages either.
Did anyone else notice this SMS timestamp problem only after flashing to a touchflo 3d rom?
Anyone know if this is fixed in touchflow ver 5? Never had the problem with v3
try not to run any navigation apps..i found out my garmin always changing my time every timr i start the apps..
I ad the same problem
In settings of my navigation (Polish AutoMapa) i can turn off synchronization of my time with gps. (sry 4 my english)

Sporadic Icon swapping in Start bar

Out of the blue (I haven't changed or installed anything) my battery indicator icon on the Start bar gets sporadically replaced with a little clock icon that is used to display upcoming appointments. I say sporadically, because I can't duplicate the problem at will. Sometimes it's one, sometimes the other. Soft reset didn't fix it. Very strange. Any ideas? I'm WM6.0 running the Kaiser today screen since '07. Thanks... Bob

Diamond clock f*ck*d up!Help!

Hi guys!I have a diamond and am running Memo 2.6.20 atm.Although it's fast and all,I have an issue with the clock on the Manilla home tab. When I turn the screen off it sometimes(well most of the time) goes back some minutes(and by some minutes doesn't mean one or two,but maybe also half an hour). Now this is a big issue for me as I wear no watch and use my phone as a clock and as a result of this I am late for most my appointments.
Is there anyone else with this issue?Maybe someone knows what's wrong?I don't remember if it happened with other roms, that's why I don't post at Memo rom's thread.
Any help greatly appreciated!Thanks!
the clock on my phone got stuck sometimes mostly after reboot, after a while a figured out that usage of the tool "cleanRAM" helps.

Clock lagging since Gingerbread update

My clock has been keeping quite accurate time on Android 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 (not sure about 2.1, since it's only recently that I am saddled with a network provider that does not do NITZ). Since Gingerbread OTA, though, it seems that it's losing about 30 seconds or so per day.
Has anyone else seen this? There are previous reports of this issue for Galaxy S and MDA but not for Nexus One, and all the other threads predate Gingerbread.
Thanks!
yes, I can confirm this. The clock lags 30 seconds or more per day. I put it in the dock when I go to sleep to charge overnight.
I also confirm this.
I can also confirm this is happening on my nexus one running stock 2.3.3
My clock has been almost useless since Gingerbread and the switch to daylight savings. Before daylight savings, it worked perfectly when set to get the time from the network. Last summer on daylight savings it also worked fine, and Froyo handled the switch to standard time with no problem.
Now, if I leave it set to get the time from the network, it will eventually go way off. The time zone changes at some point to Western Argentina Time, when it should be Atlantic Daylight Time. The time will go behind by an hour, and then drift away more and more. The lock screen and clock app will show one time while the status bar shows another, and one or the other of these will not update as the minutes go by. These issues make alarms unreliable and worthless.
Rebooting the phone puts it all back the way it should be. Time zone goes back to Atlantic Daylight Time and the clock is set correctly. Then at some point later in the day, it'll go stupid again. If I turn off setting the time from the network, these problems don't happen, but then the clock will drift and be behind by 10+ minutes after a couple weeks.
So far, my solution has been to leave network time off, and occasionally turn it on just long enough for the clock to sync, then shut it off again. This is extremely frustrating.
Yeah, I have this on the latest stock N1. But, mine is slightly different. The time set from the network is 2mins behind GPS time. If I set the time manually, then hit the network time button it will drop 2 mins back. Doesn't do this on a Blackberry I have on the same network.
I thought I'd come back to this thread to report that my clock issues so far appear to be resolved after updating to 2.3.4 (manually via amon_ra + su zip to keep root).
I changed it back to set the time from the network yesterday, and have yet to experience any of the weird behaviour or lagging I mentioned in my previous post. Normally I would've seen something by now. I didn't see this mentioned in any of the bug fixes for 2.3.4, but so far so good...
I hope the update helps you guys out too.

Galaxy note clock is keep getting messed up!

ok this starts to happen recently, not sure if it's due to presence of new AT&T Note.
Problem:
my clock (official system clock that shows up on top right of status) is keep showing different time (minutes are correct, but hours are keep getting messed up by 2 hours or somewhere around that).
I'm located in New York EST time.
When I am at home in New Jersey, clock gets messed and shows weird time, and when I go to New York, time comes back to correct New York EST, and sometimes time keeps going back and forth between 24+ and normal time. I have no idea why this is happening. WHat's also weird is, so I turned off the automatic time update and used manual time, but then later it still shows up messed up time, then when I enable automatic time update, it shows regular time.
I've been using att wap APN settings that were publicly available prior to ATT Note launch. help real appreciated. I've come to work late like three times so far because of the messed up clock and thus my alarm clock.
do you have the international version or the AT&T version?
Hi
sorry about that. I have international N7000.
Weird

That is very strange. I've used International version for nearly five months and have always used "Automatic - USe network provided values" Date and time is always very accurate - more than that which appears on television (we don't have daylight saving so the national tv shows are delayed an hour!)
So perhaps it is to do with your service provider? Have a search to see if there is a different APN?
Hope that helps!
