Doesn't work like that. You need the honeycomb framework.

Specifically, most of the Honeycomb apps require support for what Google calls fragments, so without API support for these it would be impossible to get these up and running on earlier version of the OS.

I understand and many thanks for explications, but the music app the was ported for us isn`t from honeycomb ?

It is, but it doesn't use any Honeycomb specific APIs.

You might want to keep an eye on the HC developing forum, soon you might be able to port the whole thing
Samsung Galaxy TabArrow -> Galaxy Tab Android Development ->[DEV][DEV-ONLY] Honeycomb Progress

I am looking for someone to work on this project with me. Please let me know if you are interested, or have already began porting. I am a linux software developer and am ready tto get this show on the road. Thanks!

They are the only ones that I am aware of. Have you tried contacting them?
They're both on the same track, and easily built from the same source changes. If you want to help, get up to speed and help the CM7 devs crack the last AOSP issues -- mostly the video driver.
Im working on getting in touch with them to work in sync with them.

Is there any chance that we could be seeing the new leaked Skype somehow get manipulated to work on our galaxy tabs? I know it was originally for the Thunderbolt.
If this has already been discussed please provide me the link to the thread.
Thanks!

Thank you! I'll check that out now.
Anyone in the know care to look at the leaked skype apk to get it to work on the galaxy tab?
Installation currently fails and it seems to only work on HTC phones but there must be a way to get it to work on the tab right?
some guys are looking to modify the leaked apk to be able to use it on other devices, but there is nothing working yet.
Here is the xda thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031944

so is there any honeycomb port available for galaxy s by chance?
Nope not yet and i dont think they will be.
honeycomb is for tablets and i dont think it would work well on a phone.
however there are some honeycomb themes and apps for the SGS, so perhaps you could try them out...
Probability is if SGS gets another major update it will be to Ice Cream as the path appears to have forked .
Will SGS get the Ice Cream update is a complete unknown for the present .
jje
yea i know it's for tablets but ive heard there are some ways to get honeycomb on some phones..... i dont know how serious it was though, anyways but i think galaxy s must get the ice cream, or ill never buy a samsung ever again lol

We could probably port windows ce onto a galaxy...or windows 7...maybe fortran....but why?
Ability is not the issue...sanity is.
And even if Samsung never releases ICS to galaxy s, I can bet that CyanogenMod 8 will be based on it

The current cm7 beta for sgs will be a release candidate soon, then sgs will be officially supported by the cyanogen team. The sgsteam has done a fantastic job clearing issues.

could we resize this apk for our mini?
the game is still beta, but it seems awesome.
considering it's beta, a lot updates are likely to come out, so is there an easy way to making it fit to our mini?
ingress
isn't it for armv7 only? like most of new apps and games, lol

Hi,
I'm having the same problem now. I've a Galaxy Mini and want to play Ingress. Has someone already resized version 1.23.1 or can anybody tell me how I can resize it myself?
Thanks for your answers.

I don't usually like to give bad news guys but.. I was checking the official group, and there's absolutely no intention to release an "official" resized version.
Good thing is, a developer (Eugene Kartashov https://plus.google.com/114990662146047046928) has been launching some versions with different resolution sizes i'm waiting for him to get out the 1.28 lol
Ingress ->> this application is compatible with your Orange Samsung GT-S5570 device.
Version 1.28.1
+ Vectoring to nearest Portal(s) when none found in Scanner map view.
+ Support for Link Amp, Heat Sink, Multi-hack, Force Amp, and Turret MODs.
+ Bug fixes and performance upgrades. i just download it from play store, try newest version.
