The text on the default messaging app is pretty big, so wondering is there any way of reducing the font size without rooting? thanks in advance
I have been looking for that option as well, but with no luck. I guess the only way to get smaller fonts is to push the Android Messaging apk to the phone to replace the LG Messaging app.
Install GO sms pro instead and you will be able to customize anything and everything

Hi guys!
So I got sick of the Handcent SMS icon (that blue thing) since it kinda sticks out from the sleekness of my TouchWiz dock's apps..So I decided to mod the res files and replace the icons with the icon of Samsung's original messaging app. I also changed out one of the notification icons provided by handcent with the notification icon of the default messaging app as well...
I did all of this using APK manager following the instructions of the WidgetLocker mod guide. I zipped and signed the apk with no problems but for some reason it just won't install from the phone or using APK manager.
I did everything exactly the way I did when I modded WidgetLocker..so I have no idea why Handcent is being stubborn at install now...
Any ideas? Anyone ever attempt this?
Stock email app does not work for my work email, so I am using another third party email app. problem is the icon does not fit into my theme. The stock email app icon does. I could replace the icon in the app drawable but when I change theme it does not change with the theme.
So my question is, in the maifest file is there a way to point "android:icon" to some thing like "android.email.icon" instead of default @drawable/icon.png. I would appreciate any other suggestions if it is not possible.
So I'm on Crash ROM and I want to change the icons of some of the apps (Phone, contacts messaging etc.) to the ones like the S3 and Note 2. How do I do this? I don't want to use desktop visualiser as it means I won't get the notification on the icon if i get a message for example. I have the image files if that helps.
An easiest way is to install a launcher and s3 theme on it
If you dont like to install launchers then, try this

can the lock screen apps be changed on the droid bionic after the ics update?
The only way I know of changing the lock screen apps is by installing a replacement and freezing the stock app. For example, installing Go SMS Pro and freezing the Text Messaging app. This works well, but only allows you to replace the lockscreen apps with duplicate functionality. Beyond that, you could try a lockscreen replacement app... they've gotten a lot better lately.
Is there anyways to change the emojis without root?..
Unfortunately no. Some messaging apps let you download emojis, like Textra, but its limited to just the messaging app, not system wide. I know exactly how you feel.
