SPB Shell - Thunderbolt Themes and Apps

Is anyone running this on their 'bolt? I'm using Launcher Pro and have yet to purchase the pro license but I saw SPB SHELL in the market. $15 seems kinda steep for what seems to be a relatively new launcher.

I am running SPB 5.0 BETA and this is running just fine for me.

I purchased it just to see if it would work, it wouldn't. Common with Tbolt apparently. Running BAMF, with Adryn kernel. Emailed tech support, took 2 days to get back to me. Wanted log files but had already installed. 15 minute refund timeline so I refunded immediately. I have a beta that works, but the constant registration pop up is annoying. There are some cool features, but 15 is steep. Was worth it for winmo but android has so many other options that are much cheaper.

I tried it, it ran fine for me, but it is pretty gimmicky. Seems like it needs A LOT of work. I wouldn't pay 2 bucks for it in its current state, much less 15. My advice- launcher pro or adw would be a much better investment at this point.

I bought it yesterday and it works fine on my Tbolt.
I like the panels and the widgets. There are only a few widgets right now, but they work great.
I would recommend waiting until it matures before buying it though. Not too many options built in right now. But it does work and is graphical impressive.
There was an initial issue with the Tbolt, but it has been fixed in the latest release.

I've been running beta for some time now, working fine here...

Ive had no problems running it on any tbolt rom except for das bamf. For some reason I can't get it to run on that rom. I liked it but I went back to lp for now because spb seems to rape my battery and it needs more customization options still too.

I am running on Bamf Remix With Adryn's kernel. Works great. I haven't had on long enough to tell how the battery goes, but it wouldn't surprise me if it tanks it.

I have been trying Regina 3d launcher in market. To me just as good a spb shell 3d

Lets just say I miss using it when I'm back on WinMo. It's really amazing how fast the improvements are.
Making phone calls and sending txts, browsing the web on 3G or wifi, downloading Android Apps. I love it. I can use it for a couple of hours without having a single crash.
Still issues with the screen lock crashing and the battery drain, but that will be fixed soon like everything else.

i was confused on the same stuff, because from past several months people are trying to run android on almost all WM phones, but they couldn't succeed fully. So i thought instead of waiting more, why not buy an android phone,

Cm7 makes my nook color sexy

Since I put CM7 on my nook it's like having a whole new tablet. It works wonderful now. I keep telling my wife "you know the difference between that blackberry tablet and the galaxy tab and my nook? Nothing.... Except mine was half the price!" I've had it since they started shipping out and it has been rooted since the very first night. I'm amazed at how much progress has been made. Thank you to all the developers!

On a semi-related note,
I was messing around with my (CM7 SD install) Nook the other day at a mall Starbucks kiosk. A woman in line for coffee pointed at my NC (I had it horizontal for web browsing) and said excitedly to her husband, "That's the new Blackberry tablet that I want!"
:d
I tried CM7 out a when the 7.02 stable was released, and it felt laggy to me. No faster than nootered 1.1 OC'ed for sure. Is it just the look of 2.3 that everyone loves, because it didn't seem that smooth of an experience over either nootered 1.1 or 1.2 oc'ed. With everyone loving it sooo much, I just might have to flash it again.
I think it runs a lot smoother than when I had it nootered. Plus it looks great!

Just got a 1422 with nootered 1.2 oc'ed to 1.1. I will probably flash it again this evening after I charge her up, I honestly think I have more fun flashing the ROMs than actually using it. Sometimes
I too am enjoying CM7. It's great to have the Google Marketplace and the Android appmarket on the Nook Color. I'm using a Theme Chooser theme called NT Sense:

I like what it does to the icons and status bar.

Wow, you got that with CM7? How is the battery life/ heat with that? Are you on the newest stable version or nightly?
Sent from my NOOKcolor using XDA App
runtime is good, but standby is only about a day with light use.
this is fixed in the beta kernal though
I also have gotten 2700+ with the nook with the 1.3 oc kernel and highly build 64. I also noticed the battery last a heck longer with this build. I believe the sleep issue has been resolved and the speed of browsing with Dolphine is so cool. Now it feels like a tablet instead of a toy. Every time I flash a new CM I make sure to take off the crap that is not needed.. phone.apk, telephony.apk, mms.apk, voice recorder.apk, googlevoice.search stuff and so on. It really is so cool...it is even faster than my Htc eve.

Thanks guys! Anything to figure out how to squeeze a little extra life out of the battery is good. I haven't been running ATK lately because I didn't think it was necessary to kill running apps with the new android version but I may have to rethink that decision.

Didnt know people still used ATK... I stopped back on my original Droid with 2.2 came out
Another great program to use us Autostarts off the market. Its well worth the 99cents and time for set up. I've had it through four android phones. Basically it lets you control what apps start based on system events and triggers. Love it!

Using atk and setcpu. I wiped my battery stats when I changed roms last night at 6pm, just got my low battery warning 3pm the next day. Almost a day with much use, as could be seen by the amount of posting I did
The 1.4 ROM is very nice

What are your adw settings?

I love adw but I can't seem to get it to run as smooth as blur does. What does everyone have their scrolling, zoom, bounce, etc set at that makes it run the best?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
Id like to know this too. Im tempted to buy it but I hate how scrolling seems sluggish or un responsive.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
have you tried going into ADW settings, selecting presets, and then "fast"? it will over-ride your current settings (like "bounce" for instance) so make a backup first
I have my Scrolling Cache set to low quality under General Behavior > System Preferences
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
I used ADW on my last 3 phones and loved it... including my DX. But for the life of me I couldn't get it to run nearly as smooth on the Bionic.
So I switched to Go Launcher and it runs great. Here's a screen shot for those interested. Doesnt do animation justice tho.

I switched from ADW back to stock. The former was great on my Asus TF, but it's just too hard to dig through all those options and settings to make it work as desired on a smaller screen. Dude really needs to back up his awesome software with some *([email protected]& documentation.
Go to presets and push Nexusish... that will make it smooth.. then customize from there.

OPPO FIND 5 Launcher +Apps/Firefly ROM PORT(?)

Anyone thought of porting the FIND 5 Rom to our device? It's open source so I would assume it would be possible but I'm not a dev any thoughts?
In the mean time, here is the OPPO Launcher +Apps +Project FireFly
Only issue so far that I have seen is that the app drawer causes a fc on the launcher when exiting back to the home screen. Works best in full screen with PIE enabled.

Really? I always thought it was lighter. From the look of it, looks similar to MIUI.
I'd definitely be willing to test that if an alpha was ported

Just download the source plug in the nexus 4 device configs spend several days working endlessly to make it compile, then spend another 3 weeks fixing all the bugs, should be simple enough, lolz
