Does anyone know a way to restore the original HTC firmware, while keeping build 7390 (nodo) of WP7?
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
You can restore from zune. check updates from zune and you can restore it to earlier restore point.
I don't want to restore the OS version, only the device-specific firmware update (HTC's firmware, post nodo) to an earlier version.
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
You might have to restore your backup, redo nodo, then not do the HTC update.
Sent from my Dell Streak 7 using XDA Premium App
I wouldn't recommend doing it as it's likely the NoDo update will rely on the newer Firmware. You might experience undesirable effects if you were to go ahead with this...
According to another thread that was posted, someone has appently tried nodo with the original firmware, with no color banding, and no undesirable effects. However, they did not explain how they achieved this.

Finally, a fix
Editing the following keys seems to get rid of the color banding..
HKLM\Drivers\Display\Primary\PrimBPP dword 32
HKLM\Drivers\Display\Primary\bpp dword 32
HKLM\Drivers\Display\Primary\PanelBPP dword 24

So how do you access these files on the device? Do you need to be unlocked? Are these the values you change them to?
Please advise...

You need to be unlocked with chevron, install the registry editor xap and modify the registry...
So....did anyone tried this registry tweak? Is it working?

Yep, tried and works. Had already mentioned this solution in the other color banding thread..

There was somebody in another thread that said they would try anything that was released to get the phone rooted so look in a couple other threads and contact him.

I'm one of them.

I tried it, and it will not flash through rsd lite 4.6. You need a newer version. For me, running 5.2, it would load up, read phone, try to load sbf and then it would lock the phone. No charging, no power button, nothing. I had to pull the batt for about a min to get it to work.
And the file is based off of the bootloader from the pre-release sbf which is why it's an older version. I will update as we try new things. I have couple X's at my disposal to wreck.

Enjoy!
Does anyone knows if this one has some improvments regardless speed, stabilitiy and hardawe functionality(better wlan reception or somethig else) compared to rom 2.05 or 2.03? It would be nice, if someone would root this rom
I have been waiting for this for a long long long time! Thank you!

This is what I found on htc page about this rom:
Update – HTC Legend Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update
In our commitment to providing you with the best user experience, we are pushing out a new firmware update to your HTC Legend. Your phone will receive a notification of this update when it is made available. Simply press OK to accept the update via a data connection such as Wi-Fi or GPRS/3G. After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Build number (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software Information> Build number). The new Build number after the update will be 2.06.708.2
Update Information: Enhance data connection stability & Fix loss of ringtone for incoming call
Note:Please back up your data first before upgrading your phone. We recommend using a free Wi-Fi hotspot or an unlimited data plan to apply this update. If not, standard data connection charges may apply. For any questions, please contact us at +852-3520-1234。
Can someone make a Flashable rom out of this ASAP?

I assume all you'd have to do i take the rom .zip from the temp folder when you run the exe, then use even the basic android kitchen to root it and then rezip that shizzle. Am i correct? If so, i'm happy to have a go =]

I too would like to know if this is all that's needed. Lets get some training in for when the Froyo update arrives and we want a rooted update.zip the same day
If you gonna root it, make sure you use the "good" root app (the ninja one), not the crap one that locks up if you have USB debugging enabled (the blue # app).

the bug is that the sms-app always shows the first message instead of the last one received. Because of this you always have to scroll down and if it's a long thread then it's pretty annoying
Plugged my T-Mobile HD7 in this morning and Zune said there is an update. I doubt it's the HTC firmware update rather the MS update that fixes invalid certificates but I'll know more when it's complete.
After 40 min I was dissapointed to see it was just the MS update, still no hidden WiFi network access for me.

How did you update your phone to NoDo?
I'm T-Mobile HD7 but using the internet connection trick to get the 7390 update. Hope this doesn't stop me from getting updates in the future.

Youll be safe enough mate. The big question mark on updates is with devices that have been updated with Chevron updater & currently some of these are experiencing problems with latest post Nodo update.

Is it safe to update through Zune and keep Chevron unlock?

According to other threads on this site other people are doing this. Off the top of my head I can't tell you the exact method they used to keep the device unlocked but if you search you'll find it in XDA. Good luck!

OS 7.10.8862.144
Firmware 2103.12.05.2
Hi, I'm from Argentina and I have a problem when trying to install the "wireless manager" app. I said, "This application does not support Focus and Omnia7. Use Network Profile instead".
Network profile I can use to unlock?. I have a Samsung Focus S with OS 7.10.8862.144, for the company PERSONAL ARGENTINA. I wait your response, thx.
So I recently been playing around with ARHD 10.1 and love the 4.2.2 changes. However, I can't help but notice everything is coming up UK on my phone (I'm assuming because it is an international rom?) Google, Amazon, etc. I can't for the life of me figure out how to change things back to US.
Or is it something I flat out can't do unless I throw a stock or Americanized rom on there?
