Change Log:
04/14 - Added phone with default Android unknown caller photos
04/14 - Added 2 new non-Virus related boots (2nd post)
04/13 - Added another Internet dock
04/13 - Changed boot animations to install in /data/local
04/12 - Added Dolphin Browser dock
All files are installed by flashing in recovery.
As always, I'm not responsible if you mess up your phone. All files posted here have been tested and are working on my personal phone. Always make a backup before flashing anything.
BOOT ANIMATIONS
Replaces bootanimation.zip located in /data/local.
These are intended to be used with VirusROM B3 (Sense & Nonsense) but should work on older versions. I actually created these while on B1. All boot animations are 480x800.
I'm open to suggestions and comments. If there's a boot animation you would like see, describe the effect and I'll see what I can do.

ROSIE DOCKS
Replaces Rosie.apk located in /system/app.
These will not reassign your 3rd icon in Rosie. You will need to change the assignment using Rosie Settings in the app drawer.
For VirusROM Sense B3 users. Based on black/gray/white theme. Replaces standard icons including the personalize (3rd) icon to whatever you have it assigned to. Just download the appropriate version. They are based on MetroStation icons. If you would like a different icon or icon theme post your request. To make it easier, please include a link to the icon(s) you would like.

bootanimation.zip and downanimation.zip in /system/customize/resource are SYMLINKS to the actual files in /data/local. This was done to make modification easier. So you should be replacing the files in /data/local instead of overwriting the symlinks.
Edit:
Actually, I don't know what would happen if you flashed this in recovery without the /data partition mounted... would it overwrite the symlinks or just fail??
Nice! (10char)

It overwrites in /system.
I just tried changing the one on my phone in /data/local back to the original from v2 but the changes didn't take effect. I originally thought the /data/local one was the one to change since the only boot animation in the zipped ROM is located there. However, when I was testing these it never changed until I updated the one in /system.
I dont know if you make these or not.. but could you possibly make one for Dolphin so it doesnt load up the standard browser?
Thanks!!!

These are just the icons. To get Rosie to load a different app, go to Rosie Settings in your app drawer and select Dolphin from there.
Edit: I've add a Dolphin Browser dock.

Strange. I just tried all of them again on my phone and everyone worked.
Has anyone else flashed a boot animation and it not work?
Bump for new goodies.
Just lost my themed market today. Running VR1b3 for days now with no problems. Did nothing today except download Switchpro and reboot. Bammmm, there went themed VR market. Any possible chance for a Themed VR market Zip Fix?
Great job by the way. Appreciate all the work you boys do.

I lost my again today. But this time, when I looked at my apps in the market, only 6 of the 80 something showed up. The rest, according to the market, were not installed. Had to re-download all of them again to get them to show up.
I mess around with the newest market for an hour of so but couldn't get anything working. Half the time when I installed in on the phone, market would disappear from the app drawer and the other half it would be there but force close when opened. On two occasions, I opened it and it was themed on version 2.3.6, but the next time I open it it would be back to normal. I have no idea what was going on there. I eventually gave up and decided to wait for Virus to release an update. I might mess around some more later if I have the time but it's such a nice day it's time to get outside. Looks like some disc golf is in order.
Thanks for the update and thanks for taking the time to look into it. I definately understand where we're at now with the themed market.
Did I hear Disc golf? Very nice man, Great way to unwind.

Thanks. But not my ROM, XxXViRuSXxX's ROM. He deserves the credit. I'm merely altering what he's already done to make it more personal if you will.
I lost my themed market on the blue epidemic theme and went into settings, manage applications, found market, hit uninstall updates and the themed market came back. Might help on this theme too.

Android 2.0 stock theme for AOSP 1.6 (donut)
Version 1.2, this theme is now ported to MetaMorph!
Update: Ported to MetaMorph and some small changes (see changelog below)
Thanks to jroid and AndroidFiend for testing, giving feedback and advice and for the morphs to customize this theme!
This theme is now for MetaMorph only, make sure to read the install instructions.
This theme started as my personal mod but i decided to make it public for those of you that just want to see some bits and pieces of Eclair or themers that want to use some resources.
Everything is based on Android 1.6 (donut) and everything is pretty much stock Android with some Eclair and MotoDroid.
You can keep track of this theme with the CyanogenMod Updater (available in the market) by scanning the QR code in Settings-->Manage Theme Servers, or by updating the featured themes list.
Make sure you do not flash the MetaMorph file when you download it using CMUpdater, this won't work. CMupdater can only be used for update notifications and to download the MetaMorph file. The file downloaded by CMUpdater needs to be placed in a folder on your SDcard called 'AndroidThemes' and needs to be applied using the MetaMorph application.
Or you can follow this theme's progress on twitter.
Make sure to check out the resources section for extra customization options.

-Added transparent lockscreen background to transparency pack (default lockscreen, not Stericsons)

-Removed market apps from aosp 1.6 theme template.
-Removed all wallpapers from aosp 1.6 theme template for compatibility reasons (and reducing size a lot).
-Removed obsolete images from maps for AOSP 1.6 theme template.
See the changelog attached to this post for a full changelog history.

Todo:
-Improve lockscreen
-Improve dialer
-Improve tabs
-Style all alarmclocks
-Add eclair stuff as it comes in
-Style in-call dialpad
-Make larger battery for alt lockscreen.
-Fix transaparent music widget.
-Check droid anims
-Morphs: wallpaper pack, clocks
Install instructions:
First read what Stericson has to say himself.
Next download and install MetaMorph from the market and download and install AndExplorer from the market. Make sure you put the Morphs posted in this thread on your SD card in a folder called 'AndroidThemes'. Point the MetaMorph application to the morph you want to apply using AndExplorer and apply all subthemes or just the bits you like.
This theme also support AdvancedLauncher both as a stand-alone version or the Home replacement version. Download link for the AdvancedLauncher is in the resources section. If you want to use the AdvancedLauncher as a stand alone version make sure you push it to /system/app cause for now MetaMorph won't work on applications installed on the sdcard.
For the lockscreen to work you have to install Stericsons lockscreen which can be found here. Make sure you install a version that is compatible with your ROM.

No, the Cyanogen app drawer comes with the advanced launcher which is running as separate home replacement. I'm not sure on how Cyanogen exactly locks the home app in memory but my guess is that it doesn't work for the secondary Launcher.
Also judging by the performance of the advanced launcher (i found it to be a little bit laggier than the stock launcher) it isn't locked. The lag when using the advanced launcher disappeared when i switched of 'Home app in memory' in Spare Parts.
Thank you! This theme is pretty neat, I like it so far. I thought there was a new lockscreen though?
Any chance we could get a version with the launcher skinned to look like the Droids? That would be awesome.
Check the attached pictures to see what it looks like. Also it looks like the market may have a new icon, could just be for the Droid though.
no idea what to download for cyan 4.2.2
edit; holy dont flash this a bunch of force close errors and i get no service what so ever!

No, the lockscreen is stock Donut (see screenshots). I'm looking into including Stericsons lockscreen if I can theme it to mimic the look of the new Eclair lockscreen.

yup, same here, i know the force closes are because of the widgets and icons i had setup, but the signal.......i dont get that one. no signal, nandroid restore time.

This is weird. I have not found this yet but i'm testing on a completely stock, fresh CM install with no apps. I'll retest today.
I see you are running Linux swap from your sig.
Try this and see if it cures the problem:
-Nandroid back to the version you had
-Remove userinit script and user.conf
-Drop to console, su and type
rm /data/app/*.odex
rm /data/app-private/*.odex
rm /data/dalvik-cache/*
-reboot and let it startup again (might take a bit longer)
-reboot and flash theme (wiping should not be necessary.
Looked at the Sholes dump but couldn't find new icons. I just decided to create them myself.
These are the first new icons:
Still very crappy, very beta.
Lots of scaling issues and anti-aliasing issues (especially the round icons) but at least I have something to work with.
I'm sure I can fix them to look nice and add some more.
I also started working on the Droid app drawer.
Does the google maps in this have the google navigation in it?
:[size=+3]Mysterious Beast[/size]::[size=+2]A Collaboration between Thomasskull666 and Mysteryemotionz[/size]:
A mix of popular themes/customizations bundled into a visually pleasing package.
Introducing the Mysterious Beast theme:
Based off of the BlackFroyo port for the Vibrant located here made by Samcrow
Combines many elements from Emotionless Beast including 3G icons, status bar pulldown icons, skinned Swype.apk, branding change (courtesy of Mysteryemotionz), and 1% battery mod.
Lots of customizations by me, detailed below.
android.policy.jar courtesy of Dreamsforgotten
This originally started as a port of the BlackFroyo theme that was ported for the Vibrant, but eventually transformed into something much more than that. After having some discussions with mysteryemotionz, we decided to use this as a base for the next edition in the "Beast" line of themes. After getting lots of useful add-ons from mystery, I started to do custom modifications on the theme myself. As well as changes to the framework, I also themed several system apps to make them fit the theme better. Below is a list of apps themed:
Browser.apk
Vending.apk (Black Market theme)
Mms.apk (No-bubble Mms, courtesy of keysoh2 located here
Contacts.apk
Swype.apk (Thanks to mysteryemotionz for this!)
DialerTabActivity.apk
Google Search Widget app
Samsung Program Monitor widget (Transparent background)
YouTube.apk
Completely customized TouchWiz30Launcher.apk, with changed homescreen icons and removed app drawer icon backgrounds
Gmail.apk (Icon) NOTE: Attached to this post is the working Gmail.apk taken from the Bonsai ROM from Mammon88. Just flash like usual on top of this if you experience FC with the Gmail app.
Settings.apk (Power Controls widget themed as well as Settings menu)
And here is a list of the customization made by myself to the original theme:
Custom Status Bar background and full pulldown
Modified Mms icons
Lots of buttons
Too many more to list...
And now without further ado, here are the mirrors. There are two versions for you to download, one including the custom transition animations by [email protected] located here, and the other without the animations.
This was designed around the ACS DK28 ROM created by k0nane and located here. Many of the apks in this theme were taken from the ROM. I cannot guarantee that this will work on other ROMs, mostly because I don't know what they have modified. I take no responsibility for what happens after you download this theme, the flashing process is in YOUR hands and you are the only one to be held responsible in the very rare event that something goes wrong.

Just so you guys know, this isn't compatible with Mammon's Bonzai ROM v1.0.1 - I got a huge stack of force close messages immediately upon boot that I couldn't get out of.
I did see that the vanilla lock screen is on there though - did you guys fix the problem with it returning to the TW lock screen when a message is received?

I didn't even know this was an issue, but I just tried and it seems to stick to the AOSP lockscren. This was done by Dreamsforgotten, the resident theming guru if you will lol.
As for the Bonzai ROm, I have not ever flashed it so I can't guarantee compatibility. Try removing the "app" folder in the .zip file to see if it is an apk causing the issue.
Sent from my Xtremely Syndicated and Emotionless Epic 4G
That's worth a shot. Will try that now.
Nice. I am really liking this theme.
Running with no problems on EE rom.
Deleting the system/app folder worked, no more FC's on Bonzai v1.0.1
BTW since you have the only 100% working AOSP lock screen for DK28, could you post a non-themed version if you get a chance? That would be quite handy to have

Excellent, glad that did the trick, but now your missing out on all the themed apps lol. If you get a chance, I mean if you really have nothing better to do lol, try flashing the apps in the app folder 1 by 1 to see which one/s causes the issue. Tedious, I know no worries if you don't feel like it.
The AOSP lockscreen is controlled by android.policy.jar located in /system/framework. The images themselves are in framework-res.apk, so inserting this into a non-themed ROM would give you just the stock AOSP lockscreen. The modified android.policy.jar is in my .zip, and you are more than welcome to place this in a .zip file of your choice in /system/framework, which will give the AOSP lockscreen on basically any theme/ROM.

Excellent - I suspected the image files were separate but didn't want to start talking out of my you-know-what, thank you for explaining what files I need for the lock screen. I'll be happy to test the apps tomorrow and will report back. So I should just make a flashable zip for each indivdual app and flash through Clockwork, or is there a more efficient way like using root explorer to put them each in the app folder?

You can go the root explorer way if you know what your doing. That would be the quickest way out testing.

Very strange - when I installed the apps one-by-one using Root Explorer, I had no FC's except for GMail. My GMail is v2.3.2 and the themed Gmail is v2.3 - could that cause it to FC? I tried clearing data on GMail and it didn't help. Updating the app worked, but then of course it's no longer themed.

No, the Market is not themed.

General Info
I do not have a Nexus S to test this on, so I would appreciate it if someone could a.) alert me, preferably on twitter, when a new build is made, and b.) let me know if the theme I post here works.
This theme is extensive with over 2000 edited .png files and more than 35 .xml files.
There are no icons included with this theme. If you would like icons, then you can use ADW.Launcher or ADW EX download Minimalist - ADW Theme.
If you would like to donate to me for my work in this theme, then you can download the Donate version of the above mentioned theme. Search for "Minimalist Donate - ADW Theme" to find it.
If you would like to port this theme to any other device or use any part of it for your own doing, then you can download my images and edited .xml files from this post.
You do not have to ask me if you can port this or use any part of it. You do not have to credit me for any of my work in this theme.
I will not be checking this page frequently, but I will try to answer any questions posted here whenever I update the links. If you want a quicker answer, then I suggest saying something to me on Twitter (@david1171_).
This theme is for the official CM7 Nightly ROMs.

Install Instructions: PLEASE READ!!!
1. Set MetaMorph delay to around 1000 (My exact number is 1054) then press Close
2. Press Unzip/Extract new theme
3. Navigate to where you have Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons.zip located
4. Select the file
5. Press close on the on the pop up that appears
6. Press Apply all!
7. It WILL force close com.android.phone when it applies the Phone.apk, I do not know of any way around this.
8. While the force close pop up is on the screen, another pop up menu will appear behind the force close pop up and the buttons will say either Continue? or Stop; you must quickly press Force close on the force close pop up, then press Continue? on the other pop up menu; it will then start applying the framework-res.apk
9. The device may freeze up at this point, if it does freeze up (mine did), then wait about 30 seconds, then pull the battery and boot your phone
10. Everything should be applied now

Take the LatinIME.apk from /system/app/ of the Nightly build you are using and push/place in /system/app/ on your phone.
Code:
adb remount
adb shell stop
adb push LatinIME.apk /system/app/LatinIME.apk
adb shell reboot
or you can place it there with a file explorer with root access, but I recommend the above method as you stop your phone, so you shouldn't have to worry about any unnecessary force closes.

Added Morph to OP for lockscreen icons for those that do not like completely transparent lockscreen. Please read the instructions and do exactly as they say.
Edit1: Also, I believe with the next release, I am going to restructure the way the links are set up in the OP. As it stands right now, it is an ineffective model that takes up a lot of unnecessary space. As anyone who follows me on twitter knows, when I mention my updates on there, I just link to a folder on media that contains folders of each supported device, then in that folder are the theme files for each device. If I go to just having a link to that main folder containing all the sub folders like I do on twitter, then I do not have to go about updating the links in 9 different threads with each release, and I do not have a space for old download files, since they can be gotten from the same place as the current download file. I think this method will make for a less cluttered OP, and save time overall.
Updated to cm_crespo_full-27.zip.
Working fine on 28, but you do lose the screen on/off animations....

I'm calling this theme a modular theme because I'm breaking it down into parts allowing the end user to configure it how they wish. The main reason for this is because not only two different file systems, but also some dk28 roms not working the way others work. If a part of this theme doesn't work, just leave it off.
This theme has been tested to flash and perform on the ACS DK28 Froyo leak. As far as the custom roms, I do not run them or ext 4 so the only way you'll find out what's compatable is to get to flashing so if any crash test dummys want to push the limits, flash this over all the roms and report back. **Note this has been fully ported to Bonsai 2.0.1

Updated Files 02/09/11
For now on there is 1 zip file MetaMorph format for the Crystalline system apps. This eliminates the need to be rom specific. It also gives a higher percent success than flashing in CWM recovery. Now a note on this zip, certain system files will cause a reboot while applying them. Pay attention when flashing this file. 2 or 3 system apps will cause a reboot mid flash, let the phone boot back, and re-run this theme inside MetaMorph again until it completes successfully. When a system app causes a reboot it's cause the system noticed the change while using that app. The next flash, the same app will NOT cause another reboot.
****If you are using a themed market app and an update comes out. You will be notified of the update, but the install will fail because the signature don't match. I had to resign these apps to take on the phone if you want the update, I'll have to transfer images over and resign so contact me if this happens.
Note about data apps: Further Instructions:
I cannot successfully get a non market app themed and flashed on top of the existing file because the change on the md5sum. So the only way to go if you wish for you phone to have extra themed apps is to delete the original after backing up the data. Copy the new themed apps on your SD card and use Astro to install them. Included in the non market apps is a text file so you know what every app is being they use their package names.
Note about screen shots:
If you want to know what my setup is from the screen shots, besides the normal, I'm running beautiful widgets with the WhiteGlossy skin set to 60% transparent. The live wallpaper included I run 12 frames per second 10-15 are the best results. Also set the wallpaper to big in the settings. I'm running the zeam launcher.
Note on Bonsai.zip Meta Morph fix for Bonsai 2.0.1.
Bonsai Fix for Meta Morph
. Do Not flash this zip. Download MM from the market, run it. There will be a folder created on the root of your SD called Android Themes. Place Bonsai.zip in there, choose the zip from within MM and apply it. Upon reboot, your power options problems will be no more.

I just flashed Bonsai myself. I have the fix already compiled, I'm going to test it with a meta morph flash since it only replaces 2 files it this works, it will be easier on everyone. Keep posted, will test in about 10 minutes.
AMAZING THEME. the wallpaper with the mascot is my favorite and looks inc incredible... Keep up the great work
Looks great! Going to keep this on my sdcard myself.
OP updated. New zip file for MetaMorph to fix the Power Menu from soft rebooting.
Also just flashed bonsai myself. Theme took as expected on plain DK28. Flashed the theme first, then the system apps folder. Nothing FC, but the Settings.apk didn't take. Both are version 2.2.1 so I replaced the current one in systemappsCWM3.zip with the one from the Bonsai Rom and it works. So if you are running Bonsai and flash the systemapps.zip, the Settings.apk will not take. You HAVE to flash the systemappsCWM3.zip for this to work!
Sorry guys if you got Bonsai 2.0.1 just hang in there. Reflashed to ensure it still goes smooth and now nothing works after flashing the system apps. This isn't going to be fixed tonight.
For now you can flash the theme and market apps. I'll have to re do all the system apps in the a.m. and you can flash those right on top when I'm done
OP Updated:
bonsaisystemapps.zip is a CWM3 Flashable zip for the system apps which differ from the standard DK28 apps.

I figured it would be easier for me to maintain a separate thread for these ports and easier for all of you to find the ports themselves.
All credit for the original artwork goes to artoodeetoo. The only thing I did was port and add 100% icons for the tiamat rom, so all props go to him.
I assume no responsibility for anything you might do to your xoom...that being said, I have personally tested both of these and my xoom is still running.

Also my icons didn't change nor did the clock widget. What is the name of it to download from beautiful widgets? Any idea about the icons? I may try to wipe and start fresh but was sad when most of the changes did not show up. Love the boot animation by the way

The beautiful widget icons and circle launcher icons need to be installed manually. Unzip the .zip you downloaded to install the theme.
There are two folders that you're looking for in particular: sdcardExtras and sdExtras2
sdcardExtras contains the beautiful widget themes:
Move the "BatterySGC" folder from inside there to /sdcard/data/beautifulwidgets/bskins
Move the "ClockSGC" folder from inside there to /sdcard/data/beautifulwidgets/scskins
Move the "WeatherSGC" folder from inside there to /sdcard/data/beautifulwidgets/wskins
The themes will now appear in the lists when you customise Beautiful Widgets under "Appearance"
sdExtras2 contains the icons that you can set using Circle Launcher. This requires the paid for version in order to be able to use "custom icons". I assume you just create a widget that's a shortcut to the app you want and give it the icon you want from inside this folder, though as I said I had trouble purchasing earlier so haven't had chance to experiment

Hmmm I had a bskins folder but it was empty, so my guess is yes you can just create it. Make sure it's named correctly though, mine is all lowercase.
Not had chance to play with it since I installed this morning, so not had chance to test the browser yet, sorry.

Yeah I tried that but the image doesn't show...also my market is having problems downloading circle launcher. Keeps saying that I need to sign in to my account then when I do, it endlessly downloads..sigh
Try deleting the bskins folder you made, and creating a battery widget using Beautiful Widgets, and trying to download a battery theme for it, see if it creates the folder for you?
I got Circle Launcher declining purchase and not declining and various things, so I refunded it, and I'll try later when it's had chance to process all the changes.

I am going to set up the circle launcher now so I can verify it working. I will confirm that it works later. As far as beautiful widgets, I just don't use them so I don't know if they work.
EDIT: I think there may be an issue with the gallery on tiamat because any new images I put on the sd card do not show up in the gallery so I can't set a custom icon
EDIT 2: Flash this to fix your gallery:will be posted after class (about noon CST)

Hmmm come to think of it I haven't actually tried a widget of the battery so I don't know if mine works for that either....and still waiting for someone to post the wallpaper too
Also the .nomedia files aren't working for me: the images I copied to the BW folders and the circle launcher icons are all showing in my gallery
I tried to flash this and I get an error. I'm using US Wifi only and I flashed Moray.
Did you definitely flash the right port?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
I chose this one:
Stargate for Moray
MD5: fc40163fee5b92ddb9d437d0087b54ee
I downloaded the file again and I'm getting the same error. By the way I'm using Rogue Recovery 1.1.0 (CWM). Here is the output when I try to flash the file:
Stargate is being applied now...
Extracting Data Files...
Extracting Extra Files to SD Card...
E: Error in /sdcard/StargateMoray.zip
(Status 0)
Installation Aborted
I deleted the old file before downloading the file again. Any tips would be appreciated.

Art posted the wallpaper in the other thread. My issue was apparently you cannot post both battery and weather icon at the same time on the super clock and to use battery only you need to check it on the drop down in appearance tab.
