[Q] Internal download storage low after cm7 update. - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just recently upgraded my stock 2.3.3 n1 to cm7. After going through the entire process of rooting, flashing the rom via rom manager, the phone shows an internal memory allocation of 190 MB, however when attempting to dl reasonably small files I get an "internal download storage low" and each dl fails. This is increasingly frustrating cause I still must dl other components to complete the upgrade. Any ideas?

Apps2Sd Causing Massive Hairloss

Rooted G1, 8g microSD. Had been running CM for months with no real issues. Was running w/ fat32/ext2/swap partitions and all apps were installing to card(ext) w/o exception. Recently decided to try another rom, so wiped, repartitioned, etc etc. Didn't like rom. Back to CM. I have been trying on and off now for 3 weeks to get apps to install to sd w/ no luck. Tried repartitioning on pc via gparted, partitioning via recovery (AmonRa). Tried defanged/cm/radio, even dropped back to rc29 and then back up from there. Same issue. Once I get CM installed, all installed apps seem to be reducing internal memory unlike my original CM install. Only thing I haven't tried is using a different card, although I don't understand why a fully repartitioned/reformatted card would not work fine.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
BTW, I hate to post a message with a topic that is present in so many others, but trust me, I've read a load of posts and still can't figure out what's happening.
Tnx,
MisterP0P0
Y did u repartition after switching roms, all u need is a wipe before the flash
How much system space are you talking about?
If you're showing 70+Mb's w/ the stock or Hard SPL or 80+MB's w/ the Danger SPL your apps are being stored on your SD card <- This applies to Cyanogen builds, probably other donut based builds also
Some of the sytem apps will remain on your internal storage, and with each app install your internal storage will decrease slightly but should not decrease by the full size of the app
All may be well.... seem to be hovering around 61 megs free. I've installed 10 apps or so...
Yep... it's working. Now to decide whether to use swap a/o compcache. Any suggestions?

[Q] Cannot Copy Files

Hi,
When i try to copy files to my Galaxy S, i get the message "cannot copy files". And when i try to acces the internal storage, the connection is lost.
I have this problem since yesterday, and i cannot copy anything on it. Because the connection breaks off. I have android 2.2.1 on it. I have reformatted the internal storage trough the phone, but the problem stays.
Is my internal storage broken, or is it just a software problem. Because yesterday i had installed Recovery 2e, and i think that's the problem
Also, when i try to put the phone in USB debugging mode, the internal storage is also not accessible, because it's read only. (my laptop shows the internal storage as a cd-rom drive)
it's very easy to tell if the internal SD is dead or not by flashing back to a stock ROM
like JH2 or JM8
then see if you can copy stuff to it
if all works, then you can flash back to a 2.2 ROM and see if everything is okay
once confirmed, then you can flash back to any Custom ROM
i now have the official FROYO.XXJPY 2.2.1 Rom installed. I will try to flash back.

[Q] Internal SD card issue

So my internal SD card shows i am using 12gb which i know i'm not i manually cleared all the files off saving the ones i wanted. I did a quick format and a full format from the computer it shows 13 gb free but then when i unplug all the files are back on there. Showing 12 gb used, i odin one clicked back to stock and still the same. Attempting to master clear through odin now, but what else can i do if this doens't work? At the time my phone was running cm9. I did flash icy glitch for awhile then went back to cm9 kernel thats when i noticed the issue couldve been before then tho not sure.

[Q] Storage being used up somewhere?

Hey guys, I don't know how much available storage I had prior, however it was easily a GB free at LEAST as I put most of my media on my external sd-card.
I went to make a cwm backup before I flashed the latest CM nightly but stupidly forgot to tell it to backup to external storage.
Lo and behold, the backup failed and when I rebooted the phone I got notifications telling me that my storage is very low.
http://imgur.com/zjMiyGc - this screenshot shows that despite there being around 1/4 memory free (or otherwise uncategorised), I only have 229MB available.
I've looked in the clockworkmod folder and there's nothing there, but I can't figure out where all this memory has been taken up from?!
Is there any way I can locate the files/folder taking up the most storage on my device or has anyone encountered this issue before and know a fix?
I can't even download any new apps atm as they won't be installed due to low memory
are you using 4.2?
clear unused backup data from recovery.
also, disk usage from Play

HTC One Internal Storage occupied by unknown apps.

Hey
I just flashed stock sense RUU over GPE and realised that even after flashing RUU about 1.2 Gb of space is been taken by something which i cant locate when connected to the computer. Also during the first boot the optimising app window showed almost 250 apps. Is there anything i can do to gain access to full mtp storage of approx 25 GB?
right now i am getting 24.2 GB free of 25.4 GB with absolutely nothing installed after newly flashed RUU.
Storage section in settings says: 1.18 GB for Apps, 6.91 GB for Others.
What i have tried?:
Reseting phone from settings menu.
Factory reset phone from recovery.
Wiping Cache from recovery.
