[Q] Tweaking gesture controls - LG Optimus 2x

Hi ,
i was just wondering.. Since the LG optimus offers gesture control,
could it be possible to tweak this controls?
For example, i really like the option to double tap the side of the phone for 'next song' in mp3 player, but this option only works when the music app is 'open'.
It would be really cool if i could also use the gesture controls when my phone is in my pocket , playing music while on screen lock. Right?
I also read somewhere that Apple plans to use the side of the display to control games , could this be possible on the Lg Optimus as well ?
What do you guys Think?
Kees

Basically a good idea... BUT what if you walk with your phone in your pocket? It would switch the song all the time!
Controlling games with gestures would be cool and from my pov possible, say double tap on the side means reload or use nitro

yeah you get it. . i wanna know how the gesture control works..
Does it work like the 'touch sensitive lamps' ? so capacitive ?
(see http://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/science-questions/touch-sensitive-lamp.htm)
if so , your pants would be able to switch songs , cause its not a electrical conductor
or are they ?

it has these features.
just go to settings gestures and there you can activate it.
bit the double tapping for the music player just works when its on the screen, and not in background.

[Q] Wheel

Sorry if this is covered (tried search and didn't found much)
My question is: What is function of wheel under the screen??
Ok, I know that I can zoom in and zoom out but is that all?!?
Tnx
I guess you mean the cricle around the DPad.
It's actually a light sensitive wheel
You can use it to zoom in and out.
In some applications it's also used to scroll up and down a list.
Programs like Advanced Config and DiamondTweak allow you to change this behavior.
Last thing when the circle comes in handy is when you don't want the light of the device to turn off. Just place your finger on the DPad and the light will stay on for the amount of time set in your power settings.
its also used in the camera app to auto -focus.
is there any chance its moddable?, in music player you can use it to scroll the song but the startup delay is way to long, and its to fast/sensitive.
the same when viewing fotos etc

music controls

is it possible to control music in touch flo
when the device screen is toggled off ????(using hardware keys)
that way i guess ill be saving up more charge
is there any alternate way to do so ??any 3rd party music player ??
thank you
CorePlayer has a option which u can choose to make the screen black (and presumably locked) and u can still use the buttons.

is there anything that allows gesture controls for WMP

I use WMP to play music...I sometimes connect it to my car's audio system to listen to music...
is there any way that I can use gestures to change tracks? maybe by moving my finger a certain way over the capacitive area? it would feel much safer than scrolling to the "music" tab in CHome and changing the song (I'm using 6.5)
I believe that this feature is already implemented :
Try moving your finger from right to left when the album cover is displayed, it'll play the next track of your playlist.
edit : 'left to right' on the screen
thanks, I'll try that
is there any way to remap the volume buttons for this purpose as well?

Music Controls

On my Nokia 820, I am playing music from the SD card. The screen times out, and the music keeps playing. When I wake the device, a music control bar slides down from the top, then slides back up and goes away.
How do I pin that control bar to the Start Screen?
Peace

I don't believe theres a way to pin it to the screen but if you hit the volume button it will pop back up again
I will try that.
Thanks
The music controls disappearing after some time actually was a change they included in WP8 because people were complaining about them being present on the lock screen.
The volume button works well as a replacement.
Press once to get the control bar, press again to change the volume.
If it was my phone, that would be good enough for me.
This is my wife's device and she is loving it. Getting a lot of use out of the camera.
I am the one asking for the extras.
Hope you are all enjoying your new devices too.
Peace

Bottom Part of the Screen Not Working

I damaged the bottom part of my phone
I wanted to know a few applications that can help me use the phone for basic functions like WA and calling.
I am on MIUI8 and I have enabled the Quick Ball, any other such applications will be helpful.
You could try a couple of different things.
Pie controls app lets you access a lot of things by touch.
Swiftkey in floating mode to type
Screen rotation controls app to rotate screen 360 degrees depending on how much the bottom part is broken. (Be careful else you will be stuck 360 until in uninstall the app, as the shortcut to switch back is in the notification bar)
Arrow launcher from Microsoft . Access as lot of things from the home screens.
I will let u know if I remember more applications.
