Flash was working not its not - Off-topic

I rooted my Viewsonic to Vegan and installed Firefox and was able to watch Amazon instant videos.
All was great until I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox - now the download Flash option shows up on Flash based sites. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash - that didn't correct the issue.
Any ideas??

Adobe Flash installed but doesn't work

I installed Adobe Flash Player 7, but I still can't see any flash displayed.
I went to www.flashearth.com , and it tells me that I need to install flash.
Anyone else?
Nevermind, figured it out.
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 7 and installed Flash Lite 2.1 first. Then re-installed Flash Player 7.

[Q] [q] no flash in nookieFroyo

I cant sk to get any flash to work on the current version of nookieFroyo (sdcard). I trird a few reboots, both browsers, reinstalled flash player. Nothng seems to work.
The only way I've got flash to work was through the Dolphin HD browser.

[Q] gapps not installed

I followed instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030227 and installed CM7.0.3. I did install gapps as instructed. But after I booted into CM7 after installation. I cannot see Market or any other application installed. I've tried using ADB but I haven't had success with that either. Is there any way to install these applications?
Thanks!
Try flashing 7.0.2 with Google apps ad on from cyanogens site. Then flash 7.0.3 without the gapps add on. That worked for me.
I reinstalled everything and it worked. but now I cannot see some applications in the market. any reason for that?

Google Play help

I have searched and tried everything that has been posted. I cannot seem to get google play to work. I accidentally uninstalled it using Titanium Backup (was trying to uninstall the update) I did not have a TB of it to restore. what i have done so far.
1. Rooted
2. factory reset(Market was not installed after reset)
3. downloaded google play apk and intstalled
4. open play and it will FC with process com.android.vending has stopped.
i am on stock ROM and FRYO 2.2 T-Mobile version
I have tried to install a stock ROM and see if a fresh install of a new ROM would bring back GP but i cannot get past step one to get CWM to install. So all i need right now is to get Google Play to work so i can get this back to norma.

I did not find a solution to fixing the non-working play store but I did finally get the flash to upgrade to GB and all is working again.
have you try installing gapps??
try flashing gapps from cwm, you can grab gapps for froyo here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-mdpi-20110501-signed.zip
you must first unistalling any google app apk that you have manually install before, then go to cwm then update your gapps
goodluck.

Some Help With Fire

So I successfully rooted my Fire 7 Gen 5 5.3.1 and flashed the nexus rom with flashfire. However, the instructions I got were bullocks and the gapps I installed, well, didn't install. Through some finagling I managed to get a browser, amazon store, and ez explorer installed, but for the life of me I can't get the play store to work. More specifically, the google play services crash whenever I've installed them. This also has the side effect that every time I try to start flashfire, it also crashes just as it checks for pro...
I've tried a dozen different trouble shooting temps, reinstalls, and cache wiping. They say I need to reflash gapps, but the flashfire doesn't work and I was told the twrp won't work? So how do I get google internet services back up running? Can I use twrps now that it's no longer fire 5.3.2.1? I wasn't very clear on that and I don't want to have an accident brick.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

If you can't get FlashFire launch/run your only recourse is to reinstall FireOS 5.3.1 via the stock recovery menu (adb sideload) and redo all previous steps (root, flashfire, etc). Be aware GAaps and SuperSU are integrated with Fire Nexus. No need to flash anything but the ROM zip itself.

Try wiping the data for Google play services.
Sent from my Amazon Fire using XDA Labs
You most likely have used an older release of the nexus rom with the play store incompatibility. Use lastest nexus rom dated feb 8th 2017 from here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/orig-development/rom-fire-nexus-rom-lmy49f-t3300714 . No need to flash gapps as its in the package. The flashfire error I've seen on version 0.53 which is included in supertools. Use the latest version of flashfire version 5.5 to solve that problem. Place nexus ROM in the tablets internal storage and reflash. I advise no SD card in the tablet or USB cable connected to it. Do a clean flash
Fresh installation from FireOS via FlashFire >= 0.55.1
- Click the Red + and choose 'Wipe'
- Ensure System data, 3rd party apps and Dalvik cache are CHECKED
- Click the Red + button and choose 'Flash ZIP/OTA'
- Navigate to and choose the latest Fire Nexus ROM Zip
- Accept defaults
- Move "Wipe" to the Top of the order
- Press the big FLASH button.
- Ignore any warnings that appear
