I installed HC on my Nook's internal memory. The market is there, but I can't see all the apps such as USA Today Tablet Edition. USA Today shows up, but not the tablet edition. I feel that I'm missing applications in my market. Can this be corrected. Just a note: any app that I can see can be downloaded and installed with no problem.

I have the Customized Nookie Froyo found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922324
I downloaded Amazon's Kindle app and it won't sync with a free book I tried to get. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the app figuring it was worth a shot but that didn't work.
All the other apps I've tried appear to be working correctly.
Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you have an SD card inserted? I noticed I can't get Kindle to sync or download books if the SD is unmounted or if there isn't one. The App must download books to SD instead of internal memory (kind of annoying considering how tiny books are...going to try tricking it into downloading to internal by creating a symlink)
Yes, the SD is inserted. The OS is running off the SD card and there appears to be plenty of memory. I'll have to double check that when I get home though.
I had a similar problem to this. Sync would not bring up my books. Then in the menu I found "Archived items" and all of my books were there then I was able to (re)download them and that brought hem into the main section in the Kindle app.
This is going to sound silly but how do you get in the menu? I don't see a menu or info button of any sort on the main Kindle screen. I'm sure it's probably really obvious and I will kick myself for not seeing it.
ETA: I just switched the Kindle app from the unit to the SD card and tried to send a (free) book to my NC again. It gave a sync error message and told me to try again later.
2nd Edit: I'm such a dork today. I found the menu. *smacks self V8 style*
I rebooted my NC and tried to sync again. This time it at least recognized the book but still wouldn't download. I'm on the wi-fi at work so I'll try this again when I get home where I have more control over the amount of bandwidth available.
ETA: I don't want to bump the thread but I do want to leave a note about the fix that finally worked in case others have this problem.
Go into settings>applications>manage applications>downloaded
Select Amazon Kindle
Under Data select move to SD card
Reboot
Open the Kindle App and it should sync after that.
Im having a problem syncing the Amazon App store to my nook table. i had my nook rooted and it was synced but i procrastinated and didnt put titanium on it and stop the OTA so i had to fix it. now everything is back to what it was but i cant get Amazon to sync this time. Is there something that i did to mess it up and can i fix it?
Hi XDAers, I just bought my Nook Color yesterday and installed Phiremod's CM7 on the SD card. However, I've been slightly disappointed at the lack of tablety-goodness that I was hoping to see. Such as Gmail's dual-windowed system, or the lack of tablet apps on the marketplace.
I was wondering, is it possible to spoof the internal files, such as build.prop or something similar, into making the apps, as well as the marketplace, into thinking that my NC is running on Honeycomb? I would think that the NC would be able to support these tablet apps based on its screen resolution and size.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
nope... to run HC apps you must run HC.. the nook color is an ereader not a tablet. if you want a dual paned email client do what i did and get kaiten mail

SOME Apps will panel on their own, such as the previous example of Kaiten mail. Most other "Honeycomb" apps use "Fragments" to build the UI, which is not available in anything prior to Honeycomb, which is what gives the windowed interfaces etc.
And this is part of the framework, not something you'll be able to spoof.
wow Kaiten mail looks awesome! And that's sad to hear that there's no way to get those amazing apps on a CM7 build at the moment. I just booted CM7 into the eMMC and now I'm thinking of creating a Honeycomb boot off of my SD card. However, I've already used it for CM7, and it's sadly been kind of laggy, and it's a Sandisk C4 8GB too :\.
I have CM7 on rooted nook. Last night my B&N application was acting funny, so I went to the new market, uninstalled the new market updates, then went back to the old market, found the B&N update and installed it. Now my previously purchased books can't download, says there is an error. Anyone experiencing this problem? Does it have to do with the new B&N application not recognizing the device? Also on the Application, I can't get to its settings or help tab, in order to check for the sd card assignment. I tap and tap, and nothing. I can tap on the books but get the errors and can't download come.
The Nook app changed names, that generally means that you have to erase data or even uninstall/reinstall.
I cleared data and all is well.

Depending on how old your app was you have to sign out and then sign in and reload your books all over again.

That's probably an issue with the market filtering by tablet type which in turn is affected by the lcd screen resolution.
You can either manually set the lcd density but better would be to upgrade to a much later CM7 where this issue is already sorted. Use either the latest nightly or even better the KANG MiRaGe ROM
I was wondering if there was a way for me to remove the apps that came preloaded but no functional uninstall button (twitter, facebook, amazon kindle, etc) without rooting it? I rooted my nook color successfully a few times last years, but I'd really rather not with the dell just because it really already has the functionality I was looking to get out of the nook (except these annoying apps). It seems to run low on space quickly, much faster than the nook. I don't even need the navigation apps as it is one that has the sim card blocked off so it's wi-fi only. If I do have to root it to get rid of them, what would be the best route to go? Thank you in advance!
Nope! You download Superuser7 and install from Fastboot.
Woops! That wasn't correct! You must install a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP first and than install Superuser7 from that.

Mine was rooted with gingerbreak, but I never upgraded it to hc, so it probably doesn't fit your situation.

It seems I may have a problem with my device and not these system apps like I was thinking. I tried to install a 29 mb app today it said insuffiescient space so I unloaded another app and got rid of a few pictures, still wouldn't work. I checked the space and it says I have nearly 12GB available internal and my sd is blank so theres almost 8GB external available. For some reason the device sees the empty space but can't install to it. I have 6 apps and 10 pictures on my devices and it still says theres no space. I guess I'll have to send it to Dell again because I don't know what it's problem is!
