Bluetooth Voice Dialing

I have a G1 and a N1 and I have but one complaint. Neither of them can do bluetooth voice dialing. I've been looking for an answer on this for hours now to no avail. HTC and google seem oddly silent on this issue. Any Clues or solutions? Or is my dream of being able to use my phone in the car a pipe dream?
can a mod move or delete this? i just realized I posted in the wrong place.
Same here.. As of the new year we cannot handle our phones while driving a vehicle. Need to have voice dial working.
Agreed
This would be awsome, same issue here in Ontario/Canada. No more talk and drive, voice dial and txt would be awsome!

Help With Bluetooth & N1

Hey I've just got a new pair of sony bluetooth headphones for my phone which I'm loving and they're working great.
They have a button on them that when I press it brings up some king of bluetooth voice dialing thing.
I'm wondering if there is a way I can change that to default to google voice search so i can use it for all sorts of commands rather than just voice dialling. Anybody know if its possible?

[Q] Parrot CK3000evo Voice Tags

I installed a Parrot CK3000evo in my car. Using the "Bluetooth File Transfer" Market app, I am able to transfer contacts and set-up voice tags. Good thing, because the N1 voice dial doesn't understand me 90% of the time.
My problem is that when I receive a call the Parrot just rings rather than speaking the Voice Tag or number. I am assuming this is because the N1 is not telling the Parrot the number of the person calling. Any fix/settings to get this working? I have a stock N1 2.2.1 without root.

[Q] Bluetooth headset-initiated voice dial?

I searched and found only old information from last year on this...
Does anyone have bluetooth headset-initiated voice command dialing working with their Captivates?
If so, please tell me exactly how you are accomplishing this -- what bluetooth headset, what ROM, what apps, your procedure for initiating a call from your bluetooth headset.
I'm not interested in any procedure that involves looking at or even touching the phone itself. I need a solution that will let me place a call to the contact of my choice solely from my bluetooth headset -- just push the button on the headset, tell it who to call and reliably make the call to the contact and phone type (mobile, home, etc.) that I tell it.
I am currently using the new Andromeda ROM but would be very interested in hearing what new ROMs do this well.
Thanks!
I am running Paragon ROM and I am able to make calls through my car stereo via Bluetooth voice dialing. Leave the phone in my pocket, hold a button down on my stereo until the voice asks for a command, I then say "Call Contact". If they have more than one number it asks if I want to call them at home work or mobile. I say "Mobile". The voice then repeats "Call Contact mobile"
I am running Paragon RC5.1, but Bluetooth voice dialing has worked for me since I first flashed with RC3.

[Q] Bluetooth Voice Dial

I have the 4.3 ota from Rogers installed. It has broken the Bluetooth Voice dial with my 2012 Chev Equinox which worked under 4.1. I can dial from the car touch screen by selecting the number from the address book, but not using the call "joe" voice command.
All other BT media functions work. My old BlueAnt S4 still works as it uses the phone voice command.
I have called Rogers and HTC with no success.
Anyone have any ideas to correct this?

I have found another thread with an answer. Remove all brackets and hyphens and dial works. Not a great solution but it works.
