I got my HD7 which was listed as 'New' from an eBay shop in the UK. Everything is fine on the phone but noticed the location was set to Australia as default. I changed these to UK, but I cannot change the keyboard setting as the only option is 'English - US'. I also went to the radio settings and all I can choose is 'North America, World and Japan'. Does this make any difference to the radio? It does seem rather poor and can only pick up one station which is BBC Radio 1 and even that is hit and miss.
The 'about' page has this information;
HTC HD7 T9292
OS Version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.30102.707
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.65.09.25a_22.45.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 3.1.2250.0(119314)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
I've no idea on flashing phones and was going to wait for official Mango update but was just hoping someone could confirm the phone is 'normal' and that flashing to another ROM won't make any significant difference. If it will then I have a lot of reading to do
Thanks

Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to any sort of mobile unlocking/custom ROMS.
I'm looking to install Deepshining v8 on my HTC HD7.
After some research I've learnt that I need to downgrade my phone's SPL, as it's above 5.
I was wondering if it could be accomplished using Ansar's method (I couldn't find a concrete answer).
It would also be appreciated if anyone could point me in the direction of what files to downgrade with.
Here are my firmware and bootloader values:-
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51101.401
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.11.2250.0(134578)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Thanks for any help.
