Hello,
I dare to post this here as it is partially Android related.
I can't seem to delete shared collections or files in Google Docs. Or to cancel their share action.
They are Android wallpapers and apk collections (legit for the record) that I joined (at least I think, I don't remember doing it) and that are always showing in my document list. I'd like to get rid of those.
Any idea ?
Thanks !
I have the exact same problem, no fix from google yet.

is there anyway one can bookmark a location on google maps ?
i tried searching ,but couldnt find anything
(in the iphone one could do that)
Dont think so ..
(in wm one could do that too)
There is the "My Maps" Editor by Google in the Market, in which you can create, edit or download maps from Google Maps. Why Google chose to separate the features unified in the WinMo and iPhone versions is not quite clear to me, but once you get used to the split, it works very well.
For "bookmarking" places, there is also the Places Directory (also from Google by Google) which keeps evolving and to which a "my places"-feature might be added in the future. Until then, you might want to try Footprints or one of the thousand other map-mashups in the Market.
Have fun,
Abed
Always imagined Docs and Maps being kickass apps if Google was to put any effort for them for the Android platform. Now that we have navigation perhaps we can expect a Google Docs app sometime in the... near future? Maaaybe sometime before Flan arrives?
I'd love to be able to view/edit doc/xls files. If Docs gets hooked to my phone, I'll actualy start using it.

you can access google docs on ur browser.
can edit, just can't upload and download.
its hard to edit xls files tho using phone browser.
There's tons of mscrapola document editors for android.
What we NEED is the ability to edit OPENDOCUMENT ISO/IEC 26300:2006
Hi, I'm newbie.
How to install Google Maps v5.4.0 Patched to allow Navigation worldwide?
I'm not flash my tab to Overcome ROM v2.0.0 BETA 2. Can i install tat?
Thanks!
whaaaaaaaaaat?!
is this even possible?? :-O
Some guy (forgot the name, apologies) posted a modified version of the Google Maps (v4.x I believe) in the General Android Development (or Apps, I forgot) forum which enabled the use of Navigation outside the US.
I forgot the whole concept but was changed was that the app now gets its data from another Google service (My Maps?) which has the same format as Google Maps but with additional information such as routes/traffic, which provided info even for places outside the US.
I haven't seen one for Google Maps v5+, though, so no Vector maps/caching. I can't find the thread anymore, but I'm sure its still here in xda, somewhere.

I think your source for this was Overcome ROM v2.0.0 BETA 2 ◄► GINGERBREAD!!! which includes a link (in the first posting) to "Google Maps v5.4.0 Patched to allow Navigation worldwide."

Hi I've searched the forums for a solution to this, it seems to be a common issue across multiple platforms.
I haven't been able to find a concrete reason for the error or a solution.
Can anyone enlighten me on how to overcome this please? Any further details required let me know:
Rooted fire hd on 7.2.3
Trying to install met office app and Vodafone app and google maps, and others same error every time.
Thanks

xamol,
Sorry for the delay, we have bee busy today. If I understand you correctly, you are using Google Play Store, when you
go to some of the applications like Google Maps, Google Play responds with:
"Your device isn't comparable with this version"
The reason is that Google Play does a simple hardware inventory, saves it to an XML file, this XML file is
queried by certain software vendors. In the case of Google Maps, the Kindle is missing a GPS device,
this is the reason for the error. Now, we have been able to "side load" Google Maps, Latitude, Local, Navigation
and many others, you can take a peek here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36121991 if you need any help, just send us a
message. We have been able to side-load many applications.
Hi there, I installed the AMG EVO9 CFW for my Phone and I'm looking for a way to use lucky patcher to remove the LVL of some apps, however I need to find where is my PlayStore App located, I looked for it on system/app folder but I couldn't seem to find it there. [Android 4.4]
Maybe someone could help me with this?
Take a look at the screens. Hope it helps.
