So I am having a problem. On almost every reboot, I get an error over every widget saying "Problem Loading Widget". I have all my widgets installed on the internal memory. Does anyone else have any similar problems or ideas how to fix it? This happens with ADW, ADW EX, and VTL Launchers and is very frustrating!
I was having this issue on both Zeam and ADW. I had to wipe/clear System and Cache and reinstall the stable 7.0 version, reinstall GAPPS. I also reflashed Dalingrin's OC kernel (the 4/11 version), but the problem was fixed before I did that.
I have/had the same issue. After every reboot the problem loading widget error occurs. One thing I noticed is that my external SD card was not mounted. Once it mounted all the widgets started to populate. On every reoboot I open up astro and nav to the \sdcard, it won't be there immediately, but astro some how finds it and mounts it. Hope this helps.
I believe i read somewhere that using themes other than the standard "system" theme would cause the sd card to not mount right away. I know that i've had the same issue since applying the cyanbreadx theme.
Can anyone confirm or deny this, please?

Having same issue on CM7 #256, if it's as simple a fix as using the stock themes it would be disappointing but no longer frustrating.

I formatted my sd card after installing Dwangs ROM, however I originally formatted it wrong so I got the black screen. Before I formated the SD card I had downloaded a bunch of apps.
Now that I've formatted the sd card all of my apps are gone. When I go into the Market to re-download them the market thinks I still have them installed.
I went to Manage Applications and cleared the cache of the Market App.
I then sorted for 3rd party apps and sure enough they still all show up under that filter but they are all 0.00Kb and when I click on them the phone just says App no found.
Anything else I should try beyond a whipe and re-install the Rom?
Yeah I had that happen too. I just went ahead a re-installed the rom, but I'm pretty sure if you pushed the .apks to /system/sd your phone would read them properly. They would have to be named exactly as they were before though - "com.handcent.nextsms.apk" for example, and not just "Handcent.apk."
this is happening with my lock screen widget, i try to add it it's not there i look in applications under settings and it's not listed, i go to market and in my downloads its there but i can't open or uninstall i've flashed 3 times already do i need a wipe? i have my apps on sd but i'm not trying to install them from market again
You can manually edit out the problem apps entries in /data/system/packages.xml
Nevermind i fixed it...just did a nandroid restore and then flashed cm4.2.4 then my theme and it's there and working now, strange
I updated to the FRF83 build, but I still have issues with the widgets. After reboots and mounting to the usb, widgets do not load. They are either missing or says "can't load widget". Does anyone know how to fix this?
Don't have that application installed to the sdcard.
It's not only widgets that are on the SD card. Even the calendar widget has issue.
I've never had a problem with my Nexus one with any of the cyanogen roms, but when I updated to RC2, now my phone won't install apps. It'll download fine, but will freeze at the "installing" part. I've wiped and reverted to my nandroid backup, but now it won't install any apps from the market. I've searched the forum and I've tried, wiping everything and flashed RC1 and RC2, still no luck. Is anybody else having this problem and is there a fix? Please advise, thanks.
This happens to me about 50% of the time when changing ROMS. Try going to settings>applications>market> Force stop, then CLEAR DATA & CLEAR CACHE. Then next time you open the market you will get the terms of service again and you should be able to download and install. Hope that works for you.
(It could be related to the phone having too many processes to do immediately after flashing as well, so give it a few minutes to catch up as well.)
I tried that method and it didn't work for me, however I did find a similar post and they mentioned to delete the folders .android_secure , Android, download, LOST.DIR on the SD card. That actually fixed the problem, hope this helps other people.
I found today I couldn't install apps, got a "Not enough space" dialog... My SD card was 100% full, must download to the SD card temporarily. Whoops.
I've had some trouble with CM 6.1 because I haven't been able to install certain kind of apps; first the restore failed with Titanium Backup, so I tried on the market, but that was unsuccessful too.
What seemed to solve the problem in 6.1 was telling in CM settings to install directly on the phone (CM Settings->Application Settings -> Install location-->Internal).
Now that I've got 6.1.1 the problem is back, and the previouse fix does not work. I can't seem to get back on the phone apps like StumbleUpon and SDMove.
I don't know what the problem is since everything worked in 6.0.
Anyone has any clues?
Thanks in advance
Do you have DarkTremor's apps2SD installed? If not, what always worked for me was to unmount the SD, install the app, remount the SD and then use froyo apps2SD to move it.
I am having the same problem but have DarkTremor's apps2SD and can't unmount the SD so I don't know what to do now.

Unmounting worked!
Well, thanks a lot.
But still, this is really annoying. I mean, I should be able to install without the need to unmount/remount every time!
Yeah it's really annoying now that unmounting isn't a possibility but no one seems to have an answer why this happens in either case.
I suspect it has something to do with the way the app wants to install. One developer I talked to mentioned that apps that want to install directly to SD have this issue and this is why unmounting works, it forces the app to install to internal memory. With DarkTremors though this is no longer possible so I don't know what to do.
Hi all
I have an issue with Cyanogenmod ROM here.
I runned on my Nexus One the 7.1 version with S2E script without problem for six months, then suddenly my 16gB SD Card reported a read/write problem and I have to reinstall everything.
Changing my sd card with a new sandisk 32gb, I decided to install the newer Cyanogenmod 7.2 official version (not nightly) but since then I have a serious issue.
Obviously, just to confirm, I wipe everything before installing pure cyanogen zip file. Then, I begin to install application but as you know internal memory is soon filled.
Then i backup, format SD card, partition it 1GB ext4 / 31GB fat, reinstall the backup, and install S2E.
The problem is that everything run smooth for almost 1 day - where i can install new apps and move to sd etc - but after some hours of use, if you try to install or update application all of a sudden market begins to report error message like:
error 492
file package not valid or signed
or, during installation, the phone has an half reboot.
Obviously i tried to wipe and reinstall everything many times but problem persists.
Also, when it happens, after some more time some applications began to work wrong, especially widget like simple calendar widget or beautiful widget.
I googled to search for a problem of this type, the only solution i found is to install latest version of the market as apk, which I do, but it doesn't work.
Any help?
Should I try another App2SD script different from S2E?
after s2E installation, do I have to launch something from terminal (which I don't do until now)?
thanks
I experienced similar.
I now use mounts2sd from DK Zero Cool. Fantastic script. What I do is to choose 'move data', and choose 'reverse mount'. With just those settings I have no issues. (You run the script from recovery and you're given the options in Aroma installer)

See how that goes for you.

Issue solved
Hi all
Just to make you aware that I solved the issue reinstalling everything using a recovery older than Clockworkmod 5.2, in particular the Amon_RA 2.1, leaving the phone to work with this recovery I wipe everything and reinstall Cyanogenmod 7.2 and S2E and everything is working fine now.
Hope it helps
Thanks
Hello. Thank you it worked for me.
