[Q] Audio popping/distortion noises when playing rmvb files

OS Distribution: CM7 Nightly #100 with 06/09 OC kernel.
CPU setting : conservative (300MHZ~800MHZ)
Problem Description:
When I use the latest revision of moboplayer to play rmvb files (640x360), noise (audio popping) continuous occurred during video playing. The problem can be solved after rollback of the OC kernel to 05/13 version. I think that there must be some problem in 05/23 and 06/09 OC kernel. Can anyone help me to report the problem to Dalingrin? Thank you!

Best OC Kernel for cm7.1.0-RC1 ?

I was using the stable 7.0.3 with Dalingrin's OC at 1200, I just upgrade to cm7.1.0-RC1 and now I need to upgrade the kernel as well , the stock for RC1 it only allows OC to 925. So the questions is what OC kernel is recommend for RC1

I forget the exact version, it may be 0630 if someone can confirm, or just dig around for it.
Or update to the newer nightly releases, they have it built in.

I just install the [9/01/11] latest one and so far no issues.

okay now that I have spend some time with the RC1 and the new OC Kernel 9-1-11 when am listening to music it freezes some times and the continues

I found that the feb 08 etana cant use hardware accelaration in video playback , can someone use this kernel do a test to see if this is my specific problem?

On a related note, after I moved to vadonka's kernel Rev1_96and Temasek's Kang # 60, I am not able to Reboot at all - not recovery nor normal reboot. I'm using CWM-5.0.2.7-r2 and not the newer touch CWM.
Anyone else seen any reboot issues? Not sure if its related to the new kernel or kang. Atleast I dont remember playing around with CWM and it worked until I flashed last.

Are you using a ramhack version? The reboot won't work with the ramhack versions (32MB shared excluded).

New experimental governors are absent in this ROM, which is meant to be a stable version for daily usage. If you want to use them, flash the experimental kernel on the previous page.
This is the version recommended for daily usage. Try the 48 MB one first, and if camera gives problems, then try a lower RH value.

This is the link to my folder with all kernels for the new bootloader so far, in case you want to try some other version. Ramhack values are mentioned in the file names, and if it supports OC (not every phone will like OC) it is also mentioned in the file name.

Warning:
I am not responsible if anything goes wrong with your phone.
If your phone does not like OC/UV, or freezes when overclocked, reduce the max frequency or dont use the OC version of the kernel.
If apps like camera give problem, try to use a version with reduced ramhack value.
To be flashed over the ROM without wiping data. Wipe only cache and dalvik cache
If you are having problems with the new kernel and wish to revert back to the stock kernel, flash your ROM again

You could try it with cm10.1 but im not sure if it would work. Take a backup first. Wifi drain patches will be included with his permission and when he feels it is the right time (after the testing phase and all)

thanks for the hard work i think u can put like a changelog in thread and the features of kernel listed just avoid people asking same thinks all the time

First impressions are good! Not much room for UV as 1ghz is already at 1000mV which is quite low already I think? But that is not important, just an observation.

I ´m testing the 48M_OC-Kernel on CM10.
I set max OC to 1,2GHz, but Antutu CPU Master shows Peaks at 1,5GHz! The Kernel is always scaling in its full available Range.
I tested it with different Settings and Gouvenours, nothing helps.

I just checked with "CPU spy" and yes it is hitting 1.5Ghz even though I have it set lower than that.

Noted. Will release 1.2 GHz and 1.4 GHz versions separately from next time
With pengus77 permission now, i'll integrate his wifi drain fix too.

Same here oc set to 1.2 but it's scaling up to 1.5 seems stable anyway.
Took one pic and gallery FCed and phone soft rebooted.
With OC 32mb kernel camera and video recording is working.

I do a OC with default cm10 function and on antutu say 1200!

the roms are stock aokp and cm only optimized to run fast and stable.
there also comes an oc version with cpu 1600mhz and gpu 533mhz

I cant say much about the battery life since my battery is nearly dead.
But better as original cm11

I see that about 12hours ago a fix was released.
Next days I build an update which should fix the playstore icon issue

I have instald the rom now ,until now stable en no issues, but batterylive is a little bit draining , but I have now orded a new battery.
I hope this wil be mine rom for the future.

I used entropy, sd booster 512 KB and Tegrak to set the gpu 134 - 200 - 400MHz, no overclock cpu no art [emoji4]
