I created a rom_CLEAN using OSKITCKEN. This is my first rom, and before you install, I tried a method of recovery for some malfunction. The SD card I thought it was the best. I found nothing, and after many tests I realized that the system is identical to the HTC LEO (HD2). The only problem was finding the file name to put on SD.
I noticed that in several HTC devices, the final part of the name is IMG. Some evidence and came to the name: PHOTIMG.nbh
TUTORIAL:
DOWNLOAD ORIGINAL ROM
EXTRACT (with WinRAR) File RUU nbh ...
FORMAT sd card in FAT 32 (as does HD2 2GB SD Sandisk)
COPY FILE to SD CARD
RENAME FILE RUU: PHOTIMG.nbh
SD CARD TO PUT IN THE PHONE
TURN IN BOOTLOADER (volume down + POWER)
VIDEO TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
ROM (EU ROM) TESTED ON MY PHONE 100%

Problem with the ROM for HTC mini
hello,
I need some help, I have the same problem that is solved by reinstalling the original ROM, but I can not find one from the HTC website, I contacted support and they said that my HTC is from Australia but there is no ROM for my HTC mini, these are my data :
HTC mini T5555
S/N:SH06SPZ01406
P/N:99HKN047-00
Please help me, thanks
rom australian
Hello,
In fact I have not found-ROM, the HTC site Australian. I do not know your problem, but if you can give definitive blocked a look at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714598&page=2 - post 14!!
you can, I think, to try to install English ROM (do not know the required data for your Operator phone). you must have patience to be able to solve ...
Thanks!!!!, I will try later
does not work with this Rom, another idea?
Hi,
when i try to update my ROM by SDcard, after loading, checking , i have a error code like this 00028002 Not allow.
Hi,
But the upgrade is successful?
Flash only stock rom
Extract and copy again file.nbh
If the problem is to reboot:
If you've tried to do update, just once, try again.
If always the same error, try a different brand sd card.
I advise, as already mentioned, sandisk 2gb
Hi,
update is not successful, my SDcard is a Sandisk 2GB.
and i try different stock (Original) Rom find in forum like this one :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860636
or this one :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919987
I personally use a rom, cooked by me, derived precisely from the O2 ROM, and among those I cook,
I think is the best.
In my first tests, I tried to flash the stock rom O2,
and the upgrade is successful.
But of course the radio was not working .....
This method (SD CARD) is born from O2
However there are also many threads on XDA with your error code 00028 ....
Now what is the state of use, your hd mini?
You can attach photos of your screen?
My advice is still to use only stock rom downloaded from HTC OFFICIAL.
will 4GB sandisk work?
sandisk 4gb I do not know, you can try.
I tried it, 4gb sdcard from another vendor, but does not work.
thanks for the fast response. i'll try it.
Nice method!
Have tried it with stock ROM, all is OK.
But with custom one I get only "Loading..." at bootloader.
Is there any chance to do this with custom/cooked ROM?
I think it's not possible because we don't have HardSPL (there is only SoftSPL).

I need to take my Touch HD back to the shop for repairs under warranty because touch screen is not working.
And i currently have Dutty's ROM installed. Problem is that the mobile cannot connect to Active Sync because it is currently in the very first Win Mobile load-up screen and since the display does not work, I cannot install original ROM via USB - I NEED a ROM for install via SD card.
The original HTC touch HD ROMs on xda developers that I have seen are only for install via USB.
Can someone please please point me in the right direction to a English Touch HD Original HTC ROM please that i can install via the SD card? I would very very very much appreciate it!
You don't actually need to be able to connect the phone to Activesync in order to flash the stock rom.
Download whatever Stock Rom you want, boot your phone to the tri-colour screen (So holding down the Vol Down key while pressing power), plug in your USB cable, wait a few seconds and then start the Rom package that you downloaded onto your PC.
Edit - I'm assuming you have used HardSPL on your device. Don't forget that after flashing the stock Rom and Radio to flash your stock SPL back aswell.
It worked! Thanks a lot mate!
But 1 qs. Why do i need to install the Stock SPL? Is it also really important for the warranty?

I would say that yes, it is important.
I've read about warranty claims being refused because HardSPL was on the phone.

Flashing via SD card failes! Need help! THX
Hi,
I wonder what is wrong with my Touch HD:
I have Olinex 1.14. HSPL and Duttytroy 1.7 installed.
What do I have to do, when I want to flash a new ROM or RADIO by using the SD card. It always says: "No ROM found" or so when I boot in bootloeder modus an then press power buttom.
What things must be done in order to succeed with flashing by SD card??
SD card ist formated as FAT32 and is the original 8GB one that came with my TouchHD.
be sure its not one of those memorycard which just dont work for flashing
iirc they are the transcend ones
you also should format it and leave it completely empty with only the blacimg.nbh file
anyway the suggestions given to update with usb putting the machine in bootloader mode should work as well so that you wont be buggered by the crappy sd
Moony, thanks a lot for your help. HTC will be picking up my phone tomorrow and I have not yet flashed the softSPL because i cannot find it. i have looked for it at the Blackstone Wiki site here with no luck.
If u get this message on time, could u (or someone else) point me in the right direction on where to find the original SPL?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217
You can find various original SPLs attached to the bottom of the first post.
I know the Telstra Australia Touch HDs used 1.15, and I think the normal European ones used 1.13 or 1.14.
So my problem is - I put android on my htc tytn II and it worked (well kinda) but anyway I decided to switch back to Windows Mobile...
I installed 1.27.x.x radio , found a Windows Mobile 6 ROM and put (Like in the instructions ) Kaisimg.nbh(renamed from ruu_signed.nbh) and Kaisdiag.nbh to my SD card and then started flashing... It flashed smth, rebooted automatically and started booting android again...
Then I hold again camera button + power+ reset and since then when I put EVERY .nbh file on my sd card and try to flash it it STUCK on "Loading.." If I try to flash it with USB It stays at 0%.
The only exeption is if I try to flash from USB the rom that I tried to flash before from my sd card.. then it starts 0%..1% and reboot the phone...
P.S: Please help me...I think my device is not Broken but I dont know what should I do to fix it...
To flash back to WM from android put your kaiser into bootloader (multi colored screen) Then connect to usb. Download any WM build that is recent (I suggest Phoenix 3 for this, you can flash whatever you want later). After you download it open and run the included RUU that came with it and it will flash it on there.
hmm, I also had experienced the similar problem on my 1st time flashing back to WinMo.
When you are trying to flash via USB cable and the process stopped at 1% I guess there is also a message about "Invalid vender ID" right?
and if the text in your bootloader (tricolor screen) doesn't mention anything about hard such as "3.29.0000" (not "3.29.hard")
then
you've lost your hard SPL that's why you cant flash any .nbh to your phone.
I had managed to solve this problem by flashing stock WM rom for kaiser. The rom also has to be suitable for your phone, I mean if your kaiser is originally from France, then use French kaiser stock rom. Or if you are using AT&T Tilt use kaiser cingular stock rom.
you can find the list of shipped roms for kaiser here :
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Kaiser/
If you still have the "invalid vender ID" error message, try another stock ROM.
Thanks man you're my hero! I though I lost my phone.. anyway i bought new one - Nokia 2730 Classic but Ill sell the kaiser...
Thanks Anyway ... you're god!
Have the same problem...
Firstly, I'd like to point that the reason for the hard SPL getting overwritten by an original SPL is NOT HAVING UPDATED HARDSPL to a newer version that prevents accidental overwrite. This is instructed in the previous steps before actually installing Android. That was my mistake (I had HardSPL 1.0 OliPof), and now I can't flash no rom to my Kaiser (which thankfully works quite well in Android).
What happens (please correct me if I'm wrong) is that "KAISDIAG.NBH" is a modified, standalone hardSPL that will flash to the phone the SPL that comes with the "KAISIMG.NBH" you put in your SD card with "KAISDIAG.NBH"). In my case, I used the WinMo 6.1 spanish version 3.29.412.0, which, resulted in my phone being flashed with the original SPL 3.29.
Now, it seems many users have fixed this locating the correct stock rom and flashing it in their Kaisers. But to others, like myself, nothing seems to work. I believe that this is because we not only need a stock rom for our specific Kaiser model, but also it has to be compatible with the SPL that accidentally got installed in the phone. The problem is what if such rom doesn't even exists?
I'm really thankfull for all I learned by reading the forums (and from my mistakes ) and I know I'm in no position to make requests, but here goes what I think could help the users like myself to fix this, if posible:
1) Guide to identify what model of Kaiser we have (maybe it's already there, I just couldn't find it)
2) Complete list (or lists) of stock roms (There are some around, those are easy to find I think, but it doesn't hurt to share different sources)
3) Something like a JumpSPL for Android would be more than awesome...
Thanks in advance to everybody, sorry for my own stupidity . Any idea or help would be much appreciated,
Daniel
hmm, I'm not sure if it has to be compatible with the SPL.
In my case, I was flashing a very old WWE stock rom which has original SPL 1.56.
I also had been very desperate because any stock rom I found seems doesn't work and I even didn't know where originally my kaiser came from because I get it from my uncle. So I tried to flash any WWE stock rom I could found but nothing works. I read from Wikipedia that based on my phone model (Kais100), this model was only sold as AT&T tilt for US. But the problem is my phone is HTC branded, not AT&T tilt. Well, based on this information I also tried to flash some cingular stock rom but the result was just the same.
After contacting HTC Customer care, I know more info about my phone. They told me that based on my phone product ID, my kaiser was originally shipped for US, but unfortunately they can't provide me stock rom for my phone model. So I searched myself but this time I had better objective : to search HTC branded rom but for US.
finally, after days of search. I've found the rom that is suitable for my phone. Its called HTC WWE Brightpoint US which has original SPL 3.29 at the bottom of the list on the website I told you on my previous post.
few weeks ago I also accidentally overwrite my HardSPL again, but this time I did it with the stock ROM which has original SPL 3.29. But this problem also solved by flashing the stock ROM I've found before via USB cable.
So, I guess it has nothing to do with spl version.
Keep tying don't give up.
Update: Step 1 completed! YAY
Using the serial number and some obscure google searching, I came to the conclusion my KAIS130 is australian. Cheers, mate!
I verified this by being able to download stock roms from the australian HTC site with my Kaiser serial number. But at the moment of writing this, have downloaded two roms and no luck yet. 5 minutes remaining for the third one... Wish me luck...
Daniel.
Well... Now what?
Tried all four rom-like thingies I could download on the HTC page, all of them returning error 294...
Now what? try to somehow extract the .nbhs from the exes and and use customRUU.exe? Try to flash from SD card?
Please help... Any ideas... I really want to get rid from that original SPL3.29.0000 It's evil!!! I think it won't never let me flash again.
Thanks,
Daniel

sorry to hear that..
well, extract the .nbh from exe and flash it via sd card is the method that made me overwrite my hard SPL in the first place.
hmm, did your phone comes with operator brand, such as three or something?

No, it's HTC unbranded. Now, something strange here: the label behind the battery has the serial number: HT830GB06075 and the P/N (guess it's part number) :99HCY194-00, but to the left of the camera, another label with the part number: 36H00563-00M and below says DATE:061107(TB02)/US.
I don't know if that's normal, but it caught my atention because my phone seems to have been dissasembled (little label over screw is teared). Maybe my Kaiser isn't Australian after all...
This Page is a full Tutorial of how you can Make a Goldcard For your Incredible-s s710e to flash a Stock rom in your ANDROID Mobile Phone for Upgrading Purposes. If you try using the RRU Vivo Update exe Then it will give A CID (CID = Carrier ID) Error. To prevent this Error and Flashing the rom For upgrading , Use this Tutorial To Update/Upgrade your Phone's Rom via the "Goldcard" . All the best .
Information :
This guide explains how to Change your default rom to a new Rom by the use of a GoldCard . A GoldCard is a special SD card which, when inserted into your device, allows you to flash RUU files with a different CID to your own device. For example, if you own a Sprint/T-Mobile/Verizon branded device, this will allow you to flash a Generic ROM and Debrand it .When you CID unlock, you are making the phone so its not "locked" to a specific carrier's rom. This method is also applicable to Unbranded (Carrier Unlocked) devices too. I have Performed this Method for UPDATING The HTC Incredible-S S710E ... And it WORKS !!! .
This method is used to Upgrade/Downgrade a Generic Rom version . For example if You have bought a Device with Rom version Froyo and you want to Upgrade it to Gingerbread , Then this method will help you to do so.
This method is to be used on S-ON Devices , S-ON Means that the Nand of the Device is locked and you cannot flash Custom Roms on the device , as it Does NOT Have The Super User root Permissions. If you have a Device with S-OFF Then you can flash Custom Roms to your Device.
If you see "VIVO PVT SHIP S-ON RL" then your device is a locked Device and you cannot root this device. And you cannot load Custom made Roms in your Device . Android developers are trying to unlock the Nand but its not yet done.
How to check wether Your Device Is S-ON / S-OFF :
1. Go to settings tab On your Device and then Go to Power Options and Uncheck the "Fast Boot Option" .
2. Power down the phone (Shutdown) .
3. Now Holding the Volume down button Press the Power Button , You will Boot into the Bootloader Option . On the top of the screen you will find the info .
This Post deals with the Upgrading of the device not Downgrading but i will surely write about Downgrading in my other Post .
Be careful while Using this guide. I will not be responsible for any Bricks . I have tried this and it worked for me fine and on my first try .
What do you need to Perform This Method :
Spare microSD card (2Gb/4Gb/8Gb) , Any brand any speed. I have used MicroSD Card 8Gb Class HC 6 and HC 4 , Both worked For me .
A PC Running windows Operating System (recommended) , 32 Bit/64 Bit Any - No bar . I have used Windows 7 64 Bit and 32 Bit Both and it worked fine on Both .
Latest HTC Sync software installed from the HTC Website. The link can Be found Here : http://www.htc.com/in/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=389&cat=3&dl_id=1073
HTC Sync is required for drivers only .
HxD Hex Editor, available for download in any language comfortable for you from HxD website. The link to the download is Found Here :http://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD
HxD Hex Editor used for Creating the Goldcard .
You will need a Goldcard Helper Application installed in your Android Mobile Device (This application Helps you generate a so called "Goldcard" by reading your MMC card's CID and by automatically Reversing it. This information can then be used as input for the PSAS goldcard Generator webpage) . This application can be Downloaded from the Android Market . If you do not have a working internet connection in your android device , or your internet connection on your device is slow (No 3G/Wi-fi) then you can also download it from Here :http://www.ziddu.com/download/15152969/GoldCardHelper_2011-05-28_02-57-14.zip.html
Important : Install the Goldcard Helper tool To the C: Drive of your Android Phone i.e Not on the memory card but in the Phone memory (Consumes Very Little Space).
.Net Framework 2.0 (Usally Inbuilt in Windows 7 64 Bit / 32 Bit .) .
Thats all you need for making The Goldcard .
Step by step instructions : For making the goldcard (Simplest Method - Tried and Tested Working) :
Connect the memory card via the Phone (Use data mode/Disk Drive Mode , Not sync mode ) . Or you can also use a Memory card Reader if you have the MMC SD Card adapter for the Micro SD Card .
Format the microSD card to FAT32 format (Do not format it in NTFS Format ).
Now open the Goldcard helper tool Which you have Already downloaded and installed it in your Mobile device . And click Goldcard Helper Icon In your Menu Screen .
The Goldcard Helper tool Will Automatically generate the Reverse CID Values for your MMC And The C drive of your System. Use the first MMC Card reversed CID Value , NOT the C: Drive Reverse CID Value .
Use the first One "Card: mmc2"
The image Here shown is What you will see when you launch the Goldcard helper tool on your Android Mobile . The CID Value is Reverese in Nature so you need not to reverse it any more . Use The first CID Value (Card:mmc2) . The CID Value will look something like this :
00544b5107943247039c7d22bd005553
Now Visit The Revskills Page Here : http://psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcard
Enter your reversed CID number and create your goldcard image, which will be e-mailed to you on your provided E-mail Adress within 15 Minuites .
Download the Image File sent To your Mail Id And save it in any location You want.
The Downloaded Image from The Email Will Help you to Make your Goldcard For Flashing Your HTC Incredible-S S710E .
Now Open the HxD hex editor. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must run the application With administrator Previledges (Run as an Administrator).
Go to the 'Extra' menu and select 'Open Disk'. Under physical disk, select Removable Disk (your microSD card) , now uncheck 'Open as Readonly' and click OK. Note that you should select physical disk NOT the logical disk.
This is important (Choosing the Physical Disk NOT The Logical Disk) else you will not have a Goldcard And your Android Phone will not Load the Image File That you place on your Goldcard MMC !
Now Go to the 'Extra' menu again and select 'Open Disk Image'. Open the goldcard image that you received by email. When prompted for 'Sector Size' , select the option - "selecting 512 (Hard disks/Floppy disks)" and then click OK.
You will see two tabs in the Hex editor window - One is your removable disk, the other is your goldcard image. Click on the goldcard image tab. Go to the 'Edit' menu and choose 'Select All' option then select the 'Edit' menu again and select - 'Copy' . The selected sectors will be selected .
Now Click on the 'Removable Disk' tab. Highlight offset (line) 0000000 to offset (line) 00000170 (include the 0000170 line too), then click on the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Write'. It will copy Down on to your Mmc card .
Click on the 'File' menu and select 'Save', accepting the warning.
You now have a goldcard .
To Test what we have done : After doing all the procedure stated above. Remove the memory card and then Insert back the memory card to the Phone Or the MMC Reader and check wether it opens up. If the card Says Format Then The card is not prepared , Repeat the steps above to Prepare your Goldcard .
After the Goldcard is Prepared , Rest is very Simple. Download the Rom You want to flash (I will be Posting the Exact image files extracted From The RRU's in my subsequent post's) . If you want you can Download them from there.
I will also Post How to Use The rom image in a Gold Card to Upgrade Your Android Mobile Device In my later Posts .
HAPPY Upgrading Using the Goldcard . !!!

Hey,
Thanks heaps for your post. I'm sure a lot of users are going to find this extremely useful.
I have a question...may seem silly but just confirming...
So I can use this method to basically rid my phone of carrier "bloat"? and have the latest stock, clean Gingerbread ROM from HTC on my device?
And still be able to update periodically OTA?
Thanks in advance.

Yes . This method will relieve you from using your Carrier specific Rom. You can install any Carrier Rom / Non carrier specific Rom with this method... keeping in mind that the Rom that you are using for flashing is a Stock Rom (Rom provided by HTC - Unadulterated / Unmodified) .
After flashing any Rom of your choice you can get updates OTA . No problems .
This method will Debrand (Relieve you off carrier specific Rom) Your phone's Rom
Thanks heaps for your reply.
One last thing, can I go back to the Carrier ROM? and/or back up my current if I have any dramas?
Thanks again.

Sorry for the late Reply.... I was out of Town ....
Now here is the catch... If you just remove your "Bloat" and again want to go back to bloat in times of need ..... Be sure to flash your firmware with the same version.... That is ... If you have 2.2.1 bloat then upgrade to 2.2.1 Stock rom Withought Bloat....
If you upgrade to 2.3.3 From 2.2.1 Then you cant downgrade.... as 2.3.3 uses a higher radio version than 2.2.1 so downgrade is not possible for the Phones with S-ON ...
Happy flashing with care
Great progress!
I'm guessing this process only works for the S710e and NOT the S710a (Bell)?

The system specs are the same for S710e and the S710a... But if the nand locking differs.... which i suppose is not then i think the phone can be flahed with this technique
Its not that the nand locking plays a part in this process.... as this process does not involve Rooting
It is basically a loading technique for a new rom into the system so.... it supposed to work.... on any Incredible S S710E/A with same hardware straints ...
No worries at all.
Thanks again mate. You've really given me some relief here. I'm hoping removing my carrier bloat will improve battery and stability.
Yeah I'm running 2.3.3....so basically what your saying is, don't go above that with any ROM?
How do I flash my current?

Actually i was saying on the context of your phone having Froyo 2.2.1 ...since you have 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) by default ....then just flash any rom with radio version same or higher than the present radio version of your Rom .....
You might download the rom from the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922
And flashing technique from :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003457
Abd shell commanding is not required... thats a diffrent process....
Follow the part of extracting the Rom.zip file from the RRU.exe. And renaming it to PG32IMG.zip ....
And for starting the Flashing.. just hold the power button and the volume down button ..you will enter bootloader mode... Follow the on screen instructions Then its done !!!

Oh ok. Thanks again mate. So the base-band has to be the same or higher as well as the firmware version? Sorry if I'm a little slow with this, I'm all over other stuff but have just come into the Android world and even at this stage am loving it...just wish I could root this phone instead...sooo much easier and so much more freedom... haha
And I can download the clean, factory HTC ROM from HTC directly??
Thanks again for your time and patience...
HI there,
I'm keen to give this a try to get rid of the Optus stuff. I do have a question, apologies if it is a silly one:
Is doing this going to erase all the apps / Internet bookmarks / messages etc?
Thanks for the thread and advice.

I'm keen to give this a try to get rid of the Optus stuff. I do have a question, apologies if it is a silly one:
Is doing this going to erase all the apps / Internet bookmarks / messages etc?
Thanks for the thread and advice.

Flashing a new ROM using an official RUU installer always wipes everything clean in the phone's internal memory. So, yes.
Finally...
After reading this thread.
My Goldcard seems to be working.
My problem was the Goldcard Tool I used to retrieve CID is giving me the wrong CID. Thus CID incorrect.
Using the Android app is more helpful.
Thanks to TS.
Next task. S OFF by AlpharevX
is there alternate site like psas to get the goldcard img?

Hi would you know if this method would work on an HTC Desire S?
I bought my DS from Europe and want to upgrade it to the Middle Eastern ROM so that I can have the Arabic keyboard and read Arabic font correctly.
Do you have any idea if this method would work for what I want to get done?

i had that same ROM, don't waste your time trying alpharevx on that, you'll need a gold card and download an WWE RUU and try it again.

i have the same problem
i have the same problem and i follow the guide but still have problem with instalation... can anyone help me ?
Maybe it's your sd card I have problem before when I use SanDisk class4 then I use Kingston class 4 and it work with NAND and HaRET. I'm using stock radio with Hardspl 3.34 by daveshaw.get help from Poxfreak and Phasi. For NAND just copy androidinstall to andboot folder. Your KAISIMG.NBH put outside the folder.
Experimenting with flashing roms I've bricked my topaz There is no OS there now. Now I can boot only in 3-color screen with SPL-1.83.0000. (not Olinex)
I have tried to flash hard spl, but nothing goes. I've tried both via cable and from the micro-sd card. It just stucks on 0% when I do it with CustomRUU using the cable. It's stucked on loading... when I try to flash it from micro-sd.
The topics on XDA don't help. I've tried to use MTTY method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425922.html) but it doesn't help either.
Another solution is to flash using the gold card, but I haven't found the tutorial how to make it freely for topaz.
I've tried to find the original ROM, but it was unsuccessfull too. The man from HTC support said that the phone had been brought from Israel (Newpan Telecom). I can't find the original ROM anywhere, and get 294 error while flashing any other shipped ROM.
So, waiting for your smart piece of advice Sorry for my english
