Good for you guys, I was feeling bad for yea.
does it work 100% or is there any bugs?
Is this a newer SBF than the one on it or an older?
Damn those russians did it again. What would be the world without their leaks
I don't know how the name scheme works but the current Bell Atrix is U4_0.37.4 this one is u4_1.4.2.
So this is an update?
Is root gone?
What is the difference between OLYLA.U4 and this OLYEM.U4

Anyone that installed this could you answer these questions
Is root possible in this SBF?
Are your download/upload speeds affected?
1080p video recording?
Are there any bugs in this SBF?
Is this a newer firmware than the current fimware in the Bell Atrix?

root - probably not yet. would have to wait for a dev to take a look.
up/down speeds - again, probably not.
1080p - repetitive i know, but probably not.
bugs - there are bugs with everything, probably nothing too glaring.
newer - judging by version number, if it's legit, then yes.
Can anyone confirm that this is working? OP, can we see a screenshot of your about phone info to confirm?
I really hope this is legit, would help out a lot with ROM development with the Bell Atrix. I still cant figure out how the Canadian SBF shows up on a Russian website.

in mother russia, the SBF leaks YOU!
lol.
Probably shouldn't run this onto a Bell Atrix right away...
If you ever need to return it for warranty, you will have a version of the firmware that isn't supported. Good luck trying to get support then. And with no SBF to revert back to, you might be in trouble.
maybe it's an Europe version sbf...
OLYEM...
If you look at the SBF filename, it's Telstra (Australia), not BELL.

Hi I´m sure most of you are aware of this problem, the unstable fps after 2.1 update I installed the dexter froyo rom hoping i would finally be able to fix this issue but to my surprise the problem remains.
I´m aware that changing the governor on set cpu from on demand to performance it helps a bit but i still see the stuttering playing mostly emulators !
I´m running at 800 mhz and I still have drops from 60 to 40 fps constantly.
Is there a fix for this that i´m not aware of ?
Pls help !
Motorola is aware of the problem. I think, it's a kernel related thing, but i don't know exactly. The fact, that the framerate dropped, is known so far:
There's also a thread at motorola discussion boards:
http://community.developer.motorola...-Milestone-2-1BUG-major-2D-slowdown/td-p/5719
So, the thing is known. And it was promised to be fixed with froyo. but it seems not to be fixed i don't get any solution for now. i'm searching a few days also now.
yeah i was aware of that post and the being investigated situation by motorola ..... motorola europe does a lot of research but real work not really ...
the new update of 2.1 that is currently rolling out fixes this problem??????

Thats because we can only use the 2.1 Kernel at the moment.
I´d rather use the 2.01 since i could play most emulators perfect ....
Is there any way to downgrade it using open recovery ?

you may downgrade your phone to 2.0.1 flashing a full sbf file from here (e.g.)
http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone
remember to use a FULL sbf not a service sbf.
I tried it yesterday and my 2.0.1 milestone gives me at stock 60 FPS with fps2d!!! dexter's frenzy is not fixing this problem

bad link? (10 chars)
The link is not broken, works fine for me
Another link to Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7520 i've bumped the thread. perhaps, someone can tell us, what has been changed to fix the 30 FPS issue and i HOPE this is not a motorola kernel fix (some module changes) - cause 2.0.1 and 2.1 use both 2.6.29 kernel.
EDIT: @silico: no, it should not pend on the kernel. i just flashed my milestone with 2.0.1 and after flashing that fresh full sbf (with 2.0.1 kernel) i restored nandroid frenzy v 0.5 (which is not changing the kernel at all) and ran into the same problem: after restoring dexter's frenzy, the framerate dropped again to 30 FPS on stock clock!
here is a patch library which might work fine on regular stock firmwares too, but its not tested much..but results are 60fps+ now even on 550mhz
update-script fixed

They use the same kernel ? Where did you saw that?
I´m using the GOt´s modified sbf for uk and the problem remains !
If I downgrade the sbf to 2.01 i gain the stability for the 60 fps but what are the disavantages of using 2.01 ?
And you also say after using 2.01 sbf and recovering moto frenzy image you went back to 30 fps, so where is the problem in the kernel or in the image ?????
If you are using motofrenzy image now if you downgrade to 2.01 after the image is already in use the problem remains???
Thanks dexter for the reply ! Are u gonna include that on your image soon?

just use "apply update" or you copy the lib yourself directly into the /system/lib/hw folder manually.. (gralloc.omap3.so is the name of the file)
the first update-nosign.zip was messed up, please make sure you have the last one i uploaded now..

I´ve just applied it it didnt´t worked.
the problem persists and it messed up my graphics !
I´ve just loaded your image and applied this update it messed up my graphics exactly the same way !!!
Its like i´m seeing artifacts.
I copied it manually to my phone with 2.1u1 and it fixed the 2d slowdown problem but it does mess up the main GUI, the emulated games run perfect though, only emulator menus have the same problems the main GUI has, ingame they are perfect!
Super smooth like in 2.0.1 but able to overclock
okay. the lib from dexter is from droid 2 and it seems, there are some sync problems. this causes the glitches on the screen. yes, 60FPS are back, but which price?
so i started a thread in cyanogen forum, asking for the libs from CM 6 RC3 to be used to crack that 30 FPS cap.
I tried the libs from the CM6RC3 and that does not solve the issue
Anyway lets wait and see what happens.
We are a bit closer already, I can play my emulators at full speed

which libs did you try? i already tried only changing gralloc.omap3.so, but same result, as yours. i wonder, how cyanogen fixed that cap ...
I tried gralloc.omap3.so and gralloc.default.so but that got me the low fp/s again...
Strange that they fixed it in another way then...
Would it be possible to use gralloc.omap3.so from a milestone 2.01 rom. The bug was also pressent in 2.0. But they fixed it in 2,01. Maybe they just accidently used the bad libs again in 2.1.
If i use the files from my 2.0.1 release it wont boot anymore...

Didn't work for me. Now on Cherry Magnum HD Update 3. Smooth and very responsive. Everything works!
Stay off from CSL Spice 2.3.4 FB0-318D-0-5012-A03
I own a spice Mi-410. The A03 update seems to have greatly improved battery life (just over 3 days with limited calls, occasional fruit ninja, and data always on in 2G mode)
I started suffering from wake up lag issues on the official spice Gingerbread update FB0-318D-0-5012-A03 all of a sudden. An additional problem is that bluetooth support is very limited to receiving files on the stock Spice GB rom.
Since I had a good experience with the stock Cherry Magnum GB ROM A01 version (except for the lower battery life), I tried the more recent version (update 3) which is also an A03 release. I feel this is the best stock GB ROM currently for the Spice Mi-410. Of course removing some unnecessary bloatware also helps. For example I really do not see the need for nero sync. Also restored back the splash image and bootup animation/sounds from the Spice ROM. Having no issues for the last few weeks.

IIRC I used SUT to flash that ROM
Sorry for the confusing statements. The A03 update is pretty good, but I had three issues with it.
1. Limited bluetooth support (try sending files from your phone with bluetooth). Have to use a third party app to deal with this problem.
2. GPS is quite poor. Takes a long time to get a lock.
3. Camera color balance does not work well.
4. Missing Android Gingerbread keyboard. In my opinion touchpal keyboard though better than the Froyo keyboard is not as good as the GB keyboard.
The A01 update which I tried caused issues with the wakeup lag but atleast had a working GPS and proper color balance.
For the reasons listed above I prefer the Cherry MagnumHD FB0-318D-0-5019-A03 ROM to the Spice FB0-318D-0-5012-A03 ROM.

Not sure what you mean by weak GPS signal and touch screen axis inversion. I get a GPS lock (outdoors) within 30s most of the time and within 60s all the time, with AGPS.

yeah, with A-GPS it sure is very fast... it is supposed to
I was talking about the vanilla offline GPS, slow & painful as hell 99% of the time
The vanilla offline GPS can take as much as 10-15minutes before it gets a GPS lock and this I mean outdoors. This is especially true if the GPS is offline for sometime as it has to download the ephemeris data again. For more information you can read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS_signals.
Since Ideos X6 variants all use the Quacomm Snapdragon 8255 SoC there should be no difference in the performance of the system compared to say the HTC Desire HD or Desire-S. Any issues (and I have not found any GPS issues with the Desire-S which I tested for two weeks and neither found any with the Spice Mi-410) is likely to be firmware related. I did have GPS issues with the Spice Mi-410 GB A03 firmware which was very stable otherwise.
So likely a firmware issue.
You can also try the GPS Test app from the android market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=en

MI410 Cancer with CHerry A03
Hi,
I have upgraded to Cherry Magnum HD A01, and it was all fine.
Upgraded to A03 (update 3), Battery Life has increased, and Touch felt as good, all was great till last week. Thats when issues started.
Problems:
1) Very slow response on trying to unlock screen
2) Very slow performance
3) Lag in ringtone (As if there are scratches while running a CD)
4) Call answers after 5 seconds
5) ....... Overall runs as if its struggling to survive with Cancer.
I Tried:
1) Cleared Cache (Helped for an hour)
2) Factory Rest (Helped for a day)
3) Reinstalled Firmware Removed Google Account running with new Google Account (Helping so far, aint sure when it start stuggling with Cancer again)
4)Tried to flash with Spice CSL A03 (dint work)
Any help in this regards will help many ambitious impatient users of MI410 like me who rushed to flash by re branding.
So i got the 8.9 last week and am pretty happy so far. My main uses are internet surfing and hd videos from youtube and play store. However one of my only complaints is that this thing isnt the fastest. I upgraded to official ics when i first got the tab and its not bad but still id like to install Asop jellybean and overclock the tab to 1.2 or 1.4. However id hate to brick my tab which i see on here all the time. The only problem is i have no idea how to root, even after reading and searching for the past week. My question is could some one tell me or show me a link to show EXACTLY how to root to the newest asop jb from official ics without bricking and then tell me how to oc it? I am such a noob with this, I dont know what kernels or anything is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure how missed this thread in the list. It's stickied at the very top.

Hmm. I'd be careful recommending ROMs just yet. He hasn't mentioned which model of 8.9 Tab he has.
Given that he mentions he's already on ICS I'd assume he's probably got a wifi-only P7310. He doesn't mention any other radio types (3G, LTE, etc.).
@Wrebbs, what model 8.9 tab do you have?

Not happy with the stock ICS version of the Tab? Did it upgrade over kies? Are you in the US? I am in Europe and have the 3G version. Have to use a ported rom from 7500 to get ICS.

Only problem I have is that Adobe Flash gives me some trouble in HD and on some sites.
I tried HC 3.2 Stock, CM10 JB 4.1, SafariKing ICS and ported ICS from 7500 v2 and honestly - If I had stock original ICS I think I would stay with it! The Jellybean ROMs still have issues. in Alpha Beta stages.
The Tracid rom mentioned might be the next rom I try, but still happy with the ICS rom I have. If it aint broke don't fix it... (Itchy though, flashing roms is fun.)
Take it from someone whos hard bricked before, take your time and do your homework. Make sure you know the rom is for your specific device. You're not going to see drastic speed increases even if oc'd. So take your time and re-read everything. Your going to have to flash a recovery first, cwm or twrp through odin. Again, make sure it's for your device. Then you can root or flash a rooted rom. Once again, make sure it's for your device.

First things first: I DID NOT MAKE THIS!
YOU MUST HAVE ICS ON YOUR PHONE.
YOU MUST HAVE THE WKPARK BOOTLOADER INSTALLED.
If you dont, it will brick your phone. Will boot up to LG Logo then shut itself off forever, then you must use the LGFlashTool to restore your phone.
Im putting the link here so people on these forums can use this as well.
Ice Cream Sandwich for LG Thrill 4G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960150
CM9 has been released, with its share of bugs. Its for the SU760, but requires additional steps to get working on P925s.
Warning: Takes time, patience, and maybe even luck.
1) Download ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998332
2) Install TWRP/CWM Recovery (Must be rooted)
3) Install wkpark's unsigned bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978543 (Do steps 1-16, only choose one recovery, TWRP OR CWM) (v1.18a seems to not work for me, I used v1.17b)
4) Boot into recovery
5) Follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34543740&postcount=45
You might need this file, it was missing from my omap4boot folder. Put into files\
hows it working so far might flash on my fiance's thrill

Why don't you try it yourself? Is CM9 critical for you?
I installed XBSA port of ICS 5.2 with 3D support (camera bug is fixed - you get extra 3D camera app with ROM). Installed samno kernel and have 4 working hardware keys. Have CWM recovery. Installed v20c baseband so I have 3G in WCDMA 850 and WCDMA 1900. etc, etc...
I'm very happy! It's like brand new phone. Yes, the whole process is kind of wonky, but it's worth it!!!
I'm here to help, if someone needs it. There are TONS of info in Optimus 3D development section. Our phones are EXACTLY the same, just different basebands.
Try and you will never regret!!!

I'm new to the Thrill and not sure what direction I want to go. I really want ICS, so you're saying ANY rom in the O3D dev section will work with the Thrill? Also, I am on T-Mobile, do I need to flash a different radio or anything?
has anyone found a fix for this rom not seeing internal sd card it sees the external sd card just fine from what i have researched the file system paths for the internal and external sd cards are backwards
My mum has a Samsung Galaxy Ace and she is complaining about quick battery draining and low space. I figured the best thing would be is too update it from 2.3.3 too 2.3.6.
The problem is that Kies is saying that 2.3.3 is already the newest one, so I decided I will go on the internet and look for some official 2.3.6 ROMs. I found many, and the problem is that I don't know which to install not to mess anything up.
I found many people saying that they are stuck in boot loops and their phones lag even more because of the update. The question is: Which ROM shall I use? Right now my mum has 2.3.3 XWPKY and I want to update to one of the 2.3.6 ones.
I found many:
DDKQ8 (oldest one, boot loops apparently)
XWKTM (value pack, newest)
XWKPY (in the middle) which apparently is 2.3.6.... (people are saying it's actually 2.3.3).
Anyway, guys, which ROM do you use, if you have a official one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm using KTM as base, it works fine, but if you're worried the little space you have now, then upgrading... xDDDDDDDD
Don't worry you can delete useless apps and free memory space
A simple tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145 (your pasted links also can serve )
Bootloop is fixed doing wipe factory reset and cache via stock recovery, after flashing the Official Firmware via Odin

Thanks man! Didn't see that thread. And about the little space: The phone is filled bloatware from Orange. Oh, I'm gonna sound like a noob now, but what is KTM? Thanks ;D Also, on the page there's some Vietnam firmware.... I live in the UK. My question primarily was which version (as in, the letters such as DDKQ8 shall I use.

Here it is where you'll get all official firmwares http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
Select your country if you want, KTM is an official firmware from Spain (android 2.3.6.) but don't matter if you flash a firmware from another site but you'll need to change maybe the modem after flash an Indian Firmware, so try to flash an European Firmware to avoid this kind of stuffs
I recommend you the Spanish KTM... Good battery duration and it's perfect as base.

Thanks for the replies. I found this site with firmwares: http://sampro.pl/firmware/android/samsung-s5830/
Holy crap. That's quite a lot to choose from... Are they all the same? Or do they come with different bloatware/lockscreens etc. Also, which shall I install so I won't have problems with the modem?

Yeah, thanks, but is the content of the ROM the same? Like the look of certain things. Eg. lock screen.

Thanks, that's all I needed to know. I also read through a thread on this ROM. Gonna flash it tomorrow. Thanks again!
Flashed and rooted it, no problems whatsoever. Do you guys recommend anything to make it even quicker/get more space/better battery life?? Because the internal space it bad. Thanks.

well, the best way >>> delete all your useless apps (I don't use gapps e.g.), which are consuming your ram (or are running in background), reduce the brightness, use low frequencies, disable sync, delete default browser and use a light one... you can try Stocklite rom (stable without bugs and all performance from stock rom)
If you are using a custom based stock rom, don't use setcpu/similar apps to set your CPU frequencies, check my signature thread , to set frequencies when android boot without to use memory space and ram consumption
