Micro SDHC card holder- 10 slots + 1 standard SD - Nook Color Accessories

sdcardolder.com Has the coolest MicroSDHC card holders for around $7USD. the size of a credit card, it can hold 10 MicroSD cards and a SD to micro adapter. Multiple colors and even a hole for a keycain/lanyard. Now that Dalingrin has the video working so slick on CM7 this could be a helpful item for juggling cards for video.

This is a very interesting design. Right now i have 3-4 micros in their own cases with adapters in my back pack. The design worry's me, how well does it hold the cards id be afraid they would fall out.

I'm with the previous poster. Looks like it would be too easy to have a card slip right out on accident. Otherwise, I'm always looking for a better way to hold my cards than the 4 different boxes I already use.

the site mentions that center tab on each slot...think it is supposed to act as the retention mechanism.

ya i saw that, but im still a bit weary. if you buy it let me know. if it holds them well, and does not feel like it will get loose with age i might be game to buy it.

Yeah..gonna buy a few cards and one of these soon...got the call to go back to work Monday...yay money!

I bought one of these a few weeks ago to keep track of my growing supply of uSD cards. I can attest that it's very handy and size-efficient.
I can understand the concerns that the cards may fall out, but the center-tab latching mechanism seems pretty secure, as it is reinforced on the underside. I actually bought 2 other models (one to hold multiple SIMs and one to hold multiple full-sized SDs). They all work as expected and I'm pleased with the purchases.
Other than this model, I haven't seen anything which holds a large # of uSD cards in a small space.
Cheers

any chance you can post a pic?

When I said that it was reinforced underneath, I misspoke. They do seem to be more than adequately rigid, given that they don't need to travel far to release the cards.
As requested, here are some pictures of the retention mechanism.

I just bought one of these at amazon, with the intention of sticking some velcro on it and attaching it to my B&N Industriell Easel.

Looking forward to more feedback. It looks like either of the 2 posts would help as far as storage is concerned but I am also having trouble keeping my cards straight. I have the NC and 2 android phones.

I ended up picking up this reader/holder, and I expect it will remain sufficient for my needs for some time to come. In addition to the 2 uSD, 1 SIM and 1 M2 storage slots (all cards I currently use, though only one of each and usually in their respective devices), 1 more of any of the above can be stored in the reader slot.
I hadn't considered it when I ordered, but the reader is slim enough to slip in the cover flap of my NC case, which I had thought impractical for anything but a wiping cloth or a few sheets of paper. In a lot of cases, it would fit neatly in the ID pocket (fits mine, too, but makes the cover bulge there when closed).
About the only con I see is that they probably could have made it smaller still--I suspect the center 1/4-1/3 of the width is wasted space inserted for that credit card form factor.

Did you order directly from the company or via their store at Amazon?
I think I will order the SIM card holder. They have a buy 3 get 4 promo via Amazon. It would be overkill to buy the SIM Card Holder, SD card holder and the micro SD cardholder. What would I do with a fourth card holder?

It works fine for me... I'm thinking of how to best slap it on my case, at present. I think I'm going to sew some magnets into a fabric pockect, and just use the magnetic stick in the case to tether it in place. As to keeping track, maybe a bit of paint on the cards? Be it nail polish, poster, marker, etc? Keep them color coded and easily sorted .

Hi all, the best part of this holder is it is designed to fit right in the pelican (!) ( secure digital case which makes it not only secure, but also waterproof, and if I do say so, very cool. I bought mine from amazon.

Carry a second sd card...

Now, I use Winmo and Android.... and i have two sd cards, one for every OS... Because it is so easy to lose the new microsd cards... I cut the rubber that protects the battery and I put there the second sd card. For me it is sufficiently fixed, and I can carry ever my two sd cards with me.... (I dont use any case, only film protectors....)
I'm sure I'm not the first, but I think someone has not thought about it..
Regards....
Edit: probably, can fit a sd card plus a sim card....
lol
what a cool idea xD
im not using two sd cards, but probably soon xDD
I do that, a lovely tweak
I experimented with including an SD adapter as well, but no room
Guys...you don't need to cut anything for the microSD to fit.
Just put the second card on top of your SIM card. The clearance is sufficient without putting undue pressure on the battery/case/card.
That's what I did when I backpacked through Europe my HD2 + spare memory card for storing extra photos/videos.
Will the heat generated from the battery ruins the SDcard?
It's kinda funny seeing this. I've been doing this since I started running android on my hd2. But I didn't cut the foam and haven't had a single issue... didn't even try down by the simple but I don't want things sliding round inside the battery cover..

Good to see other genius individuals in here as well.. Although, I did recently donate an 8 gig card because the card bumped out and got caught on the side seam.. Just keep an eye out.

Double sided tape leaves glue on the cards? Or use Blu-tack?
no glue or tape required, just place card and slowly put cover on hd2
Excellent idea, thought of it just couple of hours ago but thought maybe it wouldn't fit. Gonna store my 2GB card there w/ copilot on it, for whenever I can't use Google Nav.
thanks for the trick. its a good idea to carry extra stuff in the back. im now looking for the cushion in the middle to put in my mugen extended battery back. there is no support inside so everything will slide around and get damaged. just for a temporary fix, i might stuff it with some bounty lol. picts when i find the cushion strip.

Roocase portfolio case for Dell Streak 7

I did not see a thread for this case, so I figured I would start one. You can view the case here:
http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Executive-Portfolio-Landscape-Portrait/dp/B004Z21IDW
I just got it for my Streak, and I am very impressed. The cover for the Streak itself fits well, with all the holes in the proper places (unlike the official T-Mobile leather case). The back has two good sized velcro pads which allow you to secure the Streak to the following part of the case for transport and when using the built in stand. The stand is magnetic, so it stays attached to the portfolio when not in use.
I have only had a day to test this case so far, but I have to say I really like it.

I got the other rooCASE, not the Executive, from company through Amazon for about $22 plus about $7 shipping (still a lot less than Walmart.com. I really like it and went with it over the executive because it looks like the Exec model has the front cover extending out in front of the DS7 when you're using it. In contrast, the regular zoocase has the unit sitting on the front of the case, and the velcrow allows for variable angles. Much better than no case at all, not only for the protection of the DS&, but also because it frees up both hands most of the time, balances nicely on the table, sofa arm, pillow, etc. Never use DS7 in portrait position, so I don't miss that option which the Exec model does give you.
(rooCASE-Multi-Angle-Leather-Streak-Tablet - on Amazon)
Bought this case a few weeks ago. The Roocase Executive Leather Case is ABSOLUTELY worth the price on Amazon, for me $37 shipped! The case not only is a leather book style case, but it also has dual HEAVY DUTY zippers to seal the case, which by the way, is EXTREMELY durable, well-made, and cushioned. Inside the case, on the left sleeve, there are 2 slip pockets for paperwork, small wireless keyboard or battery extender maybe(try it!)? On the right a separate, slimmer case that fits "flush" on the DS7(I found this to have a little play inside the case, but nothing the foam it was packed with couldn't fix).
BIGGEST FEATURE! This case has both a kickstand for the tablet and velcro on the slim case to allow for both Landscape and Portrait views!
I imagine that with a good 10000mah or Solar battery charger and a slim bluetooth keyboard, this case will become wholly convertible and versatile for any mobile needs!!
I think this is the same case but in imitation leather for $23 shipping from China. I have the acase now which isn't bad, but I think the fit on this might be a touch better and the material less padded for a slimmer overall design.
Might just stick with the acase ones because the Viewsonic 7x is looking pretty sweet. Just wish it'd have a full size SD. There's no adapter to go from micro to full size.

I'm currently using a MicroSD with an adaptor that makes it a full sized SD. They're pretty common in card readers, but not so much to purchase by themselves.
The point behind it is SD cards are still the standard in computers, cameras and such. And these aren't tiny phones and mp3 players. A full sized card slot can take a full size card and micro with adapater. A microSD slot is useless for full size. And with many having a plethora of full size cards (I have a 32gb, (3)16gb and a few 8gb ones), they become useless to share photos from the camera on the nice 7" screen, do some uploading to flickr, fb or sugarsync. There is plenty of room to put full size on these devices so I just don't understand why they do it.
I think all these tabs should have standard: microUSB, USB2.0, Full size SD and mini HDMI. Unless you're going for GT10.2 thin, it shouldn't be difficult. At least with usb2.0 you can plug in a card reader. That's somewhat of a compromise without needing a proprietary dongle.

So I have now had the case for about a month, and I still really like it. The case works great both for protecting the Streak and acting as a stand. Only real issue I have had is the velcro pads on the case which goes around the Streak itself tend to pick up all sorts of odd stuff, but that is truly a minor complaint.
Honestly, I have yet to find a better case for the money I paid.

Wireless Charging Question

I have one of those cases that holds credit cards using a sliding door on the back. I laid my Note 5 on my Qi Charger today and surprisingly it was actually charging. I was pretty surprised, being that there were 3 credit cards and a case in between the charger and phone itself.
My question is, will this effect the credit cards in any way? Will it cause the cards to not be able to swipe in any way? What kind of damage can be done to the cards?
Thanks in advance.
On a side note, I use the MST on the phone to pay for groceries at Vons today. Worked like a charm.
Of course it'll hurt the cards they are magnetic

Yeah, I wouldn't put credit cards anywhere NEAR a Qi charger. Just asking for problems.

Meenova Mini Micro SD Card Reader - OTG storage

I bought this on Amazon and it was delivered today. I paid $12.99 delivered with prime. This is a super easy way to use external storage with the Note 5. I opened the box, popped in my 128gb micro sd, and the phone immediately recognized it. Photo viewing or movie watching is seamless as if the card was in the phone itself. It's about a 1x1 inch square sticking out the bottom of the phone and isnt too annoying, but I pull it out before I throw the phone in my pocket. The little rubbery protective case is nice and there's a micro to regular usb adapter to plug into other stuff. Not bad for 13 bucks.
do you have a case on your phone, and if so, does it fit into the phone while the case is on?
I have this same thing and I have a couple Spigen cases and it works just fine with the cases I have. This is a great little product for devices that have no SD card slot.

Yes, I have an Incipio DualPro case and it fits. I'm trying out a really rugged case from Poetic tomorrow and I'll see if that fits too. I'll include some pics of both cases.
I have it too. I keep it on a keychain but am annoyed that the USB adapter is separate - I wanted that on the keychain too. Also the USB adapter stopped working. I just bought this that meets all the requirements... we'll see how it works when I get it... http://m.ebay.com/itm/Micro-SD-TF-T...3D161876565555&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460

MicroSD card recommendations? And screen protector?

Hi all. Got my S7 Edge earlier this week and was looking around for some upgrades. I have an old 16gb microSD card that’s in there now but whilst using that SD card with me Xperia Z1s, I started hitting the limits of both the 32gb internal memory and the 16gb microSD capacity. Got a new phone, so now its about time I upgrade I think. However, the last thing I want to worry about is the SD card causing performance issues in the phone itself, so ive compiled a list of some microSD cards I would like your guys’s feedback on. What would y’all pick? Im good with 64gb or better, but don’t want to break the bank either. Was originally leaning towards the PNY, but the Sandisk Extreme PLUS caught my attention. The Netac Pro card also stands out due to size/$$$ ratio compared to the others (while still appearing to be decently fast).
Also, since cases on the edge actually back off the sides (for the edge displays of course), putting the phone face down directly contacts the screen to the surface of whatever its on. Im use to the case sides rising up just enough for face-down placement to rest on the case edges, not the screen. So I was wondering what you all would recommend for a screen protector? Im fine with the Skinomi TechSkin type but that’s better for scratches than to help prevent shattering I think. A tempered glass style screen protector might be a better choice. Any recommendations on current or future products for that? Thanks again.
PNY
http://www.amazon.com/PNY-Performan...GU360G-GE/dp/B00W77CJTY/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk $20 for 64gb, $35 for 128gb
Sony
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Speed-Me...&qid=1458318672&sr=1-2&keywords=sony+uhs+1+u3 $70 for 64gb
Sandisk Extreme
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extre...F8&qid=1458318735&sr=1-2&keywords=u3+micro+sd $27.98 for 64gb
Sandisk Extreme PLUS
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extre...F8&qid=1458318776&sr=1-4&keywords=u3+micro+sd $38.99 for 64gb (this one stands out due to incredible write speeds compared to others)
Transcend Ultimate 633x
http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Mic...F8&qid=1458318776&sr=1-9&keywords=u3+micro+sd $36.99 for 64gb
Netac Pro (the oddity of the bunch)
http://www.amazon.com/Netac-Micro-C...qid=1458319119&sr=1-1&keywords=Netac+Micro+SD $39.99 for 128gb
If you would of checked sooner, Amazon and best buy ran a 200gb special for 59.99 but I believe it's 79.99 now fyi. Also the cases for our phone don't have the edge covered so you can use it and see notifications. With the sides exposed, there is still the top and bottom that protect the screen. I have a skinomi on its way but have been using my Otterbein symmetry case and the top and bottom of the case protects my screen if I put it face down. Was going to just get an commuter but wanted thinner and this case is the bees knees (for real)
