Everybody in here, I need your help. I have a problem that is currently unresolved. I have a Motorola Milestone, I bought it last year in Singapore. I've changed the firmware to version of gingerbread. I think the firmware is less suitable for my Motorola Milestone and I want to change it as the beginning of the Motorola firmware original. but, when I want to change it, always failed. I waited until the long hours but no result. it's said "waiting to find the latest firmware". So, I want to ask for help all of you who have a way out. Please, tell me how fix it.
Which software to use to change the original firmware?
How do I operate?
Where can I download it?
etc.?
Please, tell me.
HELP ME..!!!

You can download official 2.2.1 for Singapore from here. Use rsdlite to flash. There are many guides in the milestone development thread for it.
If you want to choose different sbf files, you can check here.
Procedure is here.

I have just managed to root my old LG P880/4xHD using advice from this forum. Thought I would try on an old phone first. One reason I tried is because I cannot update Android via the usual About phone, Software updates, Check now for updates. The Android version installed is 4.0.3. I am in Australia and it is possible the phone is an overseas model (got it from a friend in LG). Has "Not for Resale" stamped inside the back cover. When I try to update Android, I get an error message "Registered Error - Your device is not registered yet." I had hoped rooting would get around this but it hasn't. Have looked up old forum posts and there is talk of using .kdz files and all sorts of other things. Can anyone help me get around this registration issue but please be aware I am a novice and most of the older posts I read, I couldn't understand so simple explanations please. Thanks.
What you have is developer or test device and it is a bit different from normal ones. Try googling more but you will have hard time....

Could it be that it has overseas firmware, I read in a two or three year old post that this can happen but there was a way to get around this.

Its a year old phone, its not like its the nexus one or samsng galaxy s2...
Try flashing 4.12 with kdz. Google is your friend, try kdz flash 4.1.2 Optimus 4x hd.
Funny thing, when I bought my phone, only google asked me to register the phone, the usual Google Play thing. SO what do you exactly mean with REGISTER?
i think the whole phone isn't registred by LG for consumers, like dimi89 said it has to be a dev device. they aren't registred and cannot be updated/used the normal way. the serial number of this phone isn't present in the LG databases i think. Just flash kdz and everything is fine. You know that you don't get any support or warranty on that phone but you should know that.
I have just moved this question here from the General section, hope that's the right move.

Help with D405n bootloader and stock recovery
Ok, so I am completely new to the rooting, bootloader and recovery community, and Android in general. I was trying to unlock my bootloader, following an XDA tutorial, on how to do it on all "LG L90 varients". It was an old post, from 2014. I hard bricked my phone, waited a long time for someone to be able to help, and thankfully someone referred me to a very helpful post on how to unbrick LG L90's. So now I am unbricked, I rerooted my phone, and trying to install the Cyanogen ROM. I believe my phone still has the stock recovery and the bootloader is locked. After about an hour of searching, I found nothing helpful. So I want to know if anyone can help me. I want to unlock my bootloader and change my recovery. I don't know what I have to do first, and don't know how. Here is some info on my phone which may be helpful.
Android version: 5.0.2 (Lollipop)
Kernal version: 3.4.0+
Software version: V20a-OP1-SI
LG D405n L90
Firmware: VUK/Virgin Mobile (United Kingdom) V20a
Please reply in a noob friendly way, so I understand. Thank you.
Check this link for instructions for unlock boot loader and install custom recovery but don't use its files because you are in version 20a (android 5.02) and they maybe outdated:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839690
Go here for updated custom recovery and check some posts down for aboot for 20a
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2826150
Don't forget to read well the posts and don't make any mistake or you may brick your phone again.
Good luck [emoji1]

I saw it before, which is how I bricked my phone, using the wrong version. However I found a v20a download on some cyanmod.pl forum, went with Cyanogen, hated it so went back to stock, lol. Anyway, thank you for the help.
Why the CM hate?
Can you pls share why did you hate it? Currently I am in process of figuring out how get custom rom on my d405n v20a, but from what you say, maybe I should stop trying. But I cannot imagine something can be worse than L90 Lollipop...

Hello! I would like to ask you for a favor. Could you pretty please explain to me how you unbricked your device the first time? I did the exact same mistake and used the wrong version in that post Now my device doesn't display anything, except when I plug it into the computer or to the charger without the battery on it. Also I see a 63,9 MB drive when I plug the phone into the pc. I believe you experienced the same things since we did the same mistake. So please help me, it's my only phone and I really want it back :crying: If it's a big and hard process, then just give me the links you used to find the instructions/solution. Thanks for your time and I count on you!

Hey, Lazgeor. I'm really sorry for the late reply. If you still have the same problem, here is the reply that I followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61808443&postcount=9
Make sure you have the right LOADER.img file. Take your battery out and whatever it says on the label is your phone model, if it's an LG L90 D410 then you can download the LOADER.img file from the reply, if not you can Google the right LOADER.img for your phone.
If you brick it even hard to where it only shows in Device Manager under "Ports (COM and LPT)" I can also show you what thread I followed. You loose everything when it gets bricked but you might be lucky if you had a gmail signed in with auto-sync on. It should recover most data such as app data, photos, etc.

Hello! Thanks for your reply I found that reply about a month ago as I was searching desperately to find a solution about my phone. Thankfully it worked and since then my phone has been working perfectly. However, my IMEI number became 0 after that tutorial, but I found a solution about that too in another post (after I asked for help first ). It's here for people who are wondering: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/help/lost-imei-device-t3285130 Thanks for posting me this message. I may have fixed my problem but others have not and it will help them!

Hi and a very pleasant day. I know this thread may be dated but it's still relevant due to the fact that a lot of users like my self is still facing this problem in 2018. I have an LG G4 LS991 that I have mistakenly downgraded *not knowing the file flashed would be lower version* anyways, I was able to read full flash and have the firmware extracted and saved. The firmware version is "ZVI" which is the latest.
Moreover, I have read in forums where you can do a direct emmc boot repair via sd card. Only thing you wil need is the systemImage.bin file. If you know how to get this or can provide me with some information on how I can etract it for use, then I would happily oblige. email me [email protected]

Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs
Hi! I have completely F***cked up my USA SM-T813. First post, so im sorry if i get posting etiquette wrong.
##TL;DR I turned my tablet into an asian one with firmware and idk how to change it back##
So, since about march of this year (2018), I had a galaxy tab s2 (sm-t813) rooted with SuperSu. I have just recently heard about Magisk and really wanted to switch. well, from what i saw on switching, i had to (obviously) uninstall SU and install magisk. while i was reading, i read that i had to do some abd bull***t and other crap. well, i guess i did that wrong, which soft bricked my tablet. I managed to fix the soft brick, but now my tablet has the firmware of an asian one. i have no clue what i need to do to fix this. I have downloaded the correct (fingers crossed) firmware, but odin wont let me put it in. It stops at "connection *something*", which when i looked up probably means i need to install the drivers for this firmware. The problem is, i dont know what nationality this firmware is.
The file i downloaded was T713ZCU2BRA4_T713CHN2BRA4_CHN
the CHN at the end made me assume it was Chinese, but when i installed the chinese drivers, it still didnt work.
if anyone could help me get this fixed and (possibly) help me get magisk installed, that would be amazing.
thanks in advance!
Coltonious
P.S. the firmware change unrooted my phone. so supersu is gone. thats a plus i guess!
##TL;DR I turned my tablet into an asian one with firmware and idk how to change it back##
What now? T713 or T813? The chinese firmware you mention is for 713 and not the other one. USA you say? Well that should be Country code XAR: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T713/XAR/ OR https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T813/XAR/ load the most recent of these fitting to your device. And yes, CHN is China. Odin drivers are not country specific. You get one working and all is fine. If you get these errors you mention then the driver is not working or is the wrong one for another device. I use the same Odin driver for all my devices I have and had from Samsung. Some more detailed error description would be useful though. If you have problems loading with reasonable speed from sammobile: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 try this tool.
I don't know if it matters but you stated you have the sm-T813 and you are trying to install firmware for the sm-T713.
