thanks for you reply. i know those apps, but, i will prefer one that can show what programs is running in the dropdown menu since the dropdown menu has pretty much free space, don't you think?
Of course no, i dont think there so much space on the drop down menu. Just look at the sum of apps (excluding system apps) there's in a traditional task killer.....
It really look impossible, it it can simply be a non-sense...
Automatic Task will do the job for you.

Is there a such program like Battery Status that can be on the home screen or bottom task bar like in SPB mobile shell with an icon and everything..I wanna link to my memory, instead of having to go through start > settings > system just to get to the memory....if anybody can redirect me to the link or thread that would be great. Ive scoured the software and general Kaiser forum with no luck. I dont wanna have to install spb mobile shell just to have this one tool. I wana be able to shortcut to my memory and see my storage and program memory usagee easily on my today screen. I know there has to be some sort of .cab for this.
Bottom Task bar icon cab file for Memory usage app.
just need an application for memory so i can check memory usage quickly like on the bottom task bar or something...like a battery status thing but for memory. If anybody knows an application for this on the bottom task bar so i dont have to go through start - settings - memory everys single time iw anna check my memory...i wish the taskbar had something like that for memory instead of telling you what items are being used and how much memoryt hey are taking up
maybe simplyifing the title will help in finding a memory status tool.
- thanks to whoever can help me find this application

battery status already does this lol. just click on ur storage card memory and it will bring up the page u want. im using the newest version 1.05 or something
doesn't task manager have the feature you want?
task manager doesnt show your memory usage percentage and you have too go through the options tab in the task manager to get to the memory, its not like having something on your today screen or at the bottom of the screen
@moegdaog:
battery ststus can show you your memory status... pleace check you configs, an you will see, what you want to see

task manager 2.0 and above shows memory percentage and it is finger friendly. try it, you can find it somewhere on xda (there is more than one version, so choose one that fits your needs)
ok thanks ill give a new task manager a try
Is there a way to hide the Active Sync entry in the Task Manager?
Rather hide it from sight as closing it is pointless.

While Async is running go to task manager, tap the spanner thingy, tap and hold on Async and choose make exclusive.

thanks it worked with wktask
i hope i don't create a redundant thread, but a preceding search (flip clocks) in the DREAM forum only returned 3 existing threads, which all did not discuss this question.
my weather widget/flip clock (donate version) stops refreshing frequently. it is usually trailing for some time, mostly up to an hour or so, until it wakes up again.
i know the instruction: exclude weather widget from task killer (or add to "ignore list")
HOWEVER....
i don't even have a task killer installed....
Toggle Settings has a task killer embedded, but I haven't even activated it (seemed to cause more problems than solving any...)
so... what else do i have to do, apart from that above, that i can't do.
thanks for any hint.
cheers
Download Advanced Task Manager and exclude it from there. You should have a task manager anyhow.
i tried that (with toggle settings task killer (ignore list)) and estrongs task manager (ignore list)... but both didn't change a thing.
that's why i am so confused

correction... i think it was just that.
i tried Advanced Task Manager, excluded weather widget in that one, and now it works like a charm...
but that means many other task killers are just not doing it right....... because they didn't work.
thanks for the help!
Had this issue, just paid the $0.99 for the app and hope this takes care of it.
Thanks all!

yes, all the best! at first it seemed not to work.
i managed it by doing the following:
1. open the weather widget app (not the widget, the app that comes along with it, in which we change settings or themes, etc.)
2. while weather widget app is open, start advanced task manager and add the weather widget app to the exlude list (also to the auto-kill exclude list)
this did it for me. finally the flip clock is on time. ALWAYS
my clock stops working when there is a forcast error and only starts working again when i refresh the weather. I've contacted the dev and told him about it and he said he will look into it.
i just figured out that although adding it to the exclude list of advanced task manager it still "crashes" occasionally.
then the weather app has to be re-started, and then it works again.
something makes weather app crashing, and i believe it's low memory. should extract a log ...
Same problem here. Excluded it from kill list, but still runs consistently behind, when it's not locked up for hours. Quite a disappointment after coming from Beautiful Widgets. Can't exclude from Auto Kill list on free Advanced Task Manager, but shouldn't have to buy an app to make another work properly!
i figured it out, somehow...
i realized that apart from Advanced Task Manager, I had also Toggle Settings, which also kills processes (I find this feature of Toggle Settings is not as intiuitive but it seems impossible to have it deactivated).
so, i have to:
- exclude from Advanced Task Manager
- exclude from Advanced Task Manager autokill
- exclude from Toggle Settings
- exclude from Toggle Settings autokill
... for any new app that has a task manager and autokill function this will have to be done separately
finally i got it working
I've tried excluding it from Taskiller, Advanced Task Manager, Estrongs, etc and it still stops refreshing. After unlocking, it's always wrong, requiring refresh. Hopefully dev can get this app working correctly.

I'm not sure if you are using Cyanogen, but if you go into your apps list open the Spare Parts app. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of options. The last one should be 'Home app in memory'. This is where the lesser of two evils comes in, at least from my experience. When checked, the Weather Widget clock will freeze and you will constantly have to refresh to update. When unchecked, no problems with the Weather Widget, BUT you will have a lag(2-5 sec) when returning to your Home screen. The delay may not bother you at first, but it will eventually...especially when you are trying to make a call and have to wait for all your icons to show.
I really like the "Program Monitor" that comes stock with TouchWiz but I see it's nowhere to be found on CM7. Is there any way to install it on CM7 or what would be a good alternative, just Advanced Task Killer?
Go to Settings, got to applications, running services you can kill them from here and also you can make a shortcut to your home screens by making a custom shortcut. And also read this and take it into consideration... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=904023
Why do you want a task killer? 9/10 times they slow your phone down and kill the battery. Linux, not iphone or windows. Do a search, you will find plenty of explanations.

this is one of the best features of CM7..
Go into settings> applications> development> check the box "stop app via long press back button"
Its sweet. Kills all your tasks with a simple long-press of the back button. I love it
Is there any way you can hide an app from the task manager on the incredible s.
I sometimes press kill all to free up memory but want to be able to hide one app so it doesn't close, can it be hidden/ignored from the list somehow....Thanks
Download Advanced Task Killer. Once the list of apps is populated in it long press on it and add it to the ignore list that should do the trick for you. Don't really recommend killing tasks unless you are having serious memory issues.
