[Q] What's your favorite ROM ?

First off a Big Thank You to all the people who put the work in to make these roms happen.
I was just looking thru the dev section and was just curious:
Which rom(s) you favor?
Which rom(s) are you using as your daily driver?

Cog for me. I am a noob and it is easy to flash and much better then stock
Captivate
Cog 2.4

[Q] I9000 GalaxySENSE and GalaxyCOMB ROMs for Captivate?

I have gotten I9000 ROMs to install on my Cappy before, but now with both of Kenia1234's AMAZING GalaxySENSE/COMB ROMs for the I9000 I get an assert error(Status 7) when I try to flash it in CWM. Why is this? Any solutions would be Awesome!

I honestly dont know anytime about the romsb our the error. Just wondering if it has to do with version of cwm, ie v3 vs v2?

It does, and we are supposed to be on CWM 3.X.X.X

I think you have to have a special kernel for sense/honeycomb for it to work, also are you sure they are CWM installable and which CWM they are compatible with
also if no special kernel is needed make sure you have an I9000 kernel since that is what they are for

Im using a reoriented kernel, specifically for the I9000 Sense port, made to make it work on the Captivate. I'm no noob, not saying anyone is, this just really got my attention cuz I love sense and wanna try Honeycomb out for awhile!

can someone can made really fast rom as lighting?
but really fast and stable?
and yes...Odin release...rooted...
every rom i try not fast and stable...on 5 days i install another ROM...
You people?Same problem?

I have tried about 15 different custom ROMs in the past year and I have always flashed beck to stock. I find stock firmware is more stable and faster.

Flash insanity CM038 with Neo 17r12 kernel... you will never want to flash another rom again.

Please remember that "popularity" threads are considered spam. There is only one way to discover the best ROM for you...keep flashing and trying them. No one's advice can help you, as it is all subjective.
Threads like this do nothing except give a platform for people to mindlessly crow about their current ROM.

A question please

I have the Samsung Captivate I897 running this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1066885
I'm wondering if I can use this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1296440
Please I need some advice, and if so what are the steps needed to do so.

i think you cant install the miui mint berry... its for i9000... it looks great but its not for cappy... sorry...

You CAN install it. But you need to flash a captivate kernel like glitch.

Question about the sgs i9010

Hi,
I want to know for sure if i can use the capativate roms and clockworkmod recovery for my sgs i9010 gorgio armani.
I have read alot about it and many people are saying that capativate is the closest one to my phone.
I dont whant to brick my phone and i hope that some one can help me with my question

Not sure what else to say, other than you will probably have to do some more searching online to find out for sure if the hardware is completely the same...but it appears to be so. But in the end, flash at your own risk. :good:

I have try the capativate rom and its working fine when i folow the description from youre link.
There is only one small thing, my i9010 is now a capativate because of the kernel i think. i will try today another kernel from i9010 and i will see whats going to hapen. I am now on cm10 capativate.
