[Q] Gingerbread Video Calling - HTC Incredible S

My understanding was that gingerbread would include a lot of video calling and voip integrations.
i've just installe one of the australian gingerbread RUUs and can only find the voip integration.
how do i make video calls without third party apps?

Gingerbread currently only support SIP video calling, not WCDMA(3G) video calling -_-#

thanks for the clarification

There has been started a rumor.
Supposedly a Samsung employee tweeted that he was making a video call on a Nexus S running 2.3.4.

2.3.4 will probably be announced next month in San Fransisco at Google I/O 2011.

[Q] Galaxy CM 7 video call

Hi,
I'm using Dial one and the last update of CM7.
I can't find how to make video call,
Any one ?
If you are referring to standard 3G video calling (using your phone plan) then CM7 doesn't support it. 3G video calling support is something Samsung implemented. You need to have a Samsung ROM for that.
But you can still use a 3rd party app like fring, Tango, gtalk etc. and make video calls using your data connection. But the other party also should have the same app running for this to work.

If you mean 3G-324M Video calling, the type dumb phones & Nokia phones can do without using Data, the answer is no. Unfortunately Android does not support it, so most Android phones do not also. Only Samsung (as far as I know) does have its own "Video Call" implemented in Android.

Ok, but the original ROM I do it without using other apps, and Skype is not Paid for video calls to mobile numbers?
Make video calls by mobile online at no cost, so I would know if is unable to use a function like this in ROM Maclaw, which is very good.:good:
Video call isn't available on AOSP ROMs. Video call option Is a Samsung's proprietary thingy and we can't port it to CM10.1.

Yes that is worked for me also. Network call can be made easily. But I'm asking native video call which can make from dialer app itself
The asus dialer doesn't support video calling for me. it just goes to Duo.
I hope someone finds a way to install the google phone APK. I had native carrier video calling on my pixel 3 and also duo.
As far as I knew duo is the native video caller for Android. If I am not mistaken duo was used as the "FaceTime" version built in direct to Google phones such as the pixel and Nexus series. I use duo constantly and it works pretty seem less with the occasional bad connection

I could see why people may think so but it is actually not.
My Pixel 3 XL supported native videocalling through its phone app. It also had an option to call out using Duo.
I don't believe there is a way to set a default app for just videochat.
The cool thing about native video calling is that you don't need an app to use it. (Well, in this case, WE do!)
Same problem
Hi bro . I facing same problem. I have used poco F1 earlier in that You can do video call without using internet data. But this Rog 2 is not showing any option to do video call not even receiving nativ video call. Little disappointed with this beast. Any solution ?
We have to find a dialer that supports native carrier videocalling. I have not tried any yet
Please share that dialer app
Please

In some blogs I read that it's not possible on any Android device LOL. Where did you get information? You can try with app Cube ACR. It will tell you if the phone is supported.
Doesn't look good....hope this helps
