so i rooted my galaxy s2 for sprint and it unlocked it. so then it became the galaxy s2 i9100. After i did this i wanted to try for the new ice cream sandwich update so i got all the files and did everything very carefully up until the last step when i pressed start one step too soon. now when i try to turn back on my phone like normal it keeps telling me "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies & try again." the only problem is when i try to connect it to kies it asks me for a recovery code, which i dnt have!!! i already tried master resetting and that doesnt work either. please help me!!

Are you able to access Download Mode (vol down, home, power)?
U posted in the wrong forum so u will get lesser help as this a galaxy s forum.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
yeah i can still access that
If Download mode is accesible I would do a flash with stock formware in Odin.
oGood day XDa. Im a noob here. but before i decided on writing and asking help, i read every thread possible for my samsung galaxy acew s5830i
here's what happened. I successfully rooted my phone. then i decided on putting ICS from this file i found on the net,

i did it in recovery mode. then when i rebooted my phone... it now does nothing but be stuck on the logp
"samsung galaxy ace GT-s5380i" and that's it

Sorry if this kind of thread is posted somewhere else already, but i've spent a lot of time but failed finding the solution to this problem.
Rooted for the first time, worked fine, installed ROM MANAGER, too, to create a backup, tried installing CLOCKWORKMOD from recovery, but since after that, my phone is stuck on the initial screen showing "SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE GT-S5830i" [Maybe this is SOFT BRICK]
I AM able to enter recovery mode, tried factory reset, unroot, etc but of no use.
PLEASE could anyone help me.? (And I've no idea of ODIN)
Please please help.
Get an idea of odin, then use it. It's different for 5830i (1.85 is the version u need)
And try to stay away from rom manager.

U're lucky to have it just soft bricked. Many others have completely hard bricked their phones.
Download stock firmware & flashguide for S5830i from www.samfirmware.com
And pls. For phone's sake... Don't use Rom Manager ever again.

Is it rooted? If not then send it to Samsung for repairs
N00b here, So I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T810 running Lolipop 5.1.1 using this method:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgrdq66P5Jk
but I accidently made the rookie mistake of not turning on oem unlock bootloader in the developer settings and it got stuck in a bootloop, so I tried flashing stock rom using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/general/stock-collection-sm-t810-stock-odin-t3204373
OdinV3 3.10.7 keeps freezing to 'leave Cs...'
Please help me, I would like to return my Galaxy Tab S2 To factory settings and how to properly root the device along with fixing OdinV3 3.10.7
Update: I have been trying to fix this for 45 minutes now and nothing is working, I really, really REALLY need help. Please someone help!
Have you installed the Samsung USB drivers. You need to see the added message in odin. The firmware goes in the AP slot.
