Extended battery for Verizon Incredible 2? - HTC Incredible S

I just picked up this phone on release day(04-28-11) and although the stock battery is decent, i would like to get something with more juice when im somewhere with no electricity. Im not sure how different the I2 is from the IS but could i use an IS battery on an I2?

Verizon carries an extended battery and cover for $50
edit: Seidio also carries a 1750mAh slim battery: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17htshf.htm

Incredible S battery will fit. Existing thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004556

They are all too expensive. It is ridiculous.. We should be able to pay as much as we do for these phones and get decent battery life!

1700mAh Extended Battery Q

I'm looking to bring my Vogue back to life with the newer Android stuff but first I need a battery. I have a older 2400mAh battery but it's run it's course + I hate the huge backplate/buldge. So does anyone know what's the cheapest and highest capacity battery that fits with the normal backplate?
I saw this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Battery-1700m...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item4a99b65f5d
..but I'm not sure 1) if it's really 1700mAh or 2) if it fits into the original plate.
Any suggestions? Or am I better off getting two 1100mAh batteries "OEM" versions are going for $4-$5 -- btw, are they really OEM?
I am in the same boat... hoping to keep my Vogue around for as long as possible... nothing much better (IMO) on SERO and can't bring myself to leave them.
I am wondering if it is worth it to spring for name brand battery (mugen, etc) or to just get an el-cheapo. Realistically, I'll probably only be able to squeeze another year or so out of this phone, so my biggest concern is with it lasting through the day with heavy usage, not overall lifespan.
I carry around a second standard vogue battery in my wallet haha, no need for extended stuff

I got a couple from this guy on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OEM-HTC-Tou...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item4cee9865ec The ones I got are not what is pictured in this auction but they had the same identification markings as my original battery(Model: BTR6900). They appear to be oem but I don't know if they are new. One of the two batteries i ordered was swollen and would not fit my phone but he sent me a replacement pretty quick and i did not have to return the bad battery. The battery life seems to be just as good as when i first got my vouge.
Two batteries, less than $10 shipped, hard to go wrong.
Hmm, I was also thinking about getting an extra battery since I just got a data plan and just killed my phone in about four hours
Anyone know how much improvement there would be from 1100mAh to 1700mAh?

Assuming it's actually 1700mAh? The math says about 65% improvement ;D

Battery Power, and Extender

I want a new battery with more power to my phone, i am also not apposed to getting a Extended Battery.. Any suggestions, or info i should no about?
Check out the Hero CDMA sub forum, there are several options for batteries there.
You can pick up two extra batteries and an external charger for about $12 on Ebay. I went this route and don't regret it. I keep a fully charged battery in my glove box and another in my back pocket.
I never worry about killing my phone during the day from overuse. That said, since I've been using Zen's newest MT3G slide ROM, I haven't been able to completely drain a battery while at work.
Check out my sig (the TP2 batteries) for ideas on batteries...
in a nutshell unless you want s really big battery. The best choice is to get a 1500mAh OEM battery or the cheap 1500mAh no-name ones (which are pretty much as good) Don't fall for the mugen and Seidio ripoffs

no but it will with one of these "covers" It's skinnier (from left to right) than the normal battery but taller (out the back)

The Mugen batter cover looks nicer imo. The replacement covers that look like someone glued a battery door on it like kinda retarded...I do wish they were a bit cheaper though.

the seidio cover is basicly junk.. so what i ended up doing was getting the oem htc extended battery door.for the hero ( basicly just like the stock door..etc ) and took my siedio 3500 mAh batt. and took that apart etc. to make it fit under the door..
Worked like a charm.. and looks stock.. cept for the slight buldge.. now most will be like bah this bah that. who cares..lol best 100 bucks ive spent..etc..

The new OEM TP2 2100 batteries...Are you considering them the best for the Hero..? If so where's the best place to get them ?
Mac
for what it's worth, i was hesitant to spend the money on the 3500 mostly due to everyone saying that back cover looked like poo. after getting it though, i can honestly say that it is of good quality. obviously, it's black, and that will bother some people. to me though, it's kind of cool when other Hero owners (there are a ton of them, too) comment on it. they can't believe how much better i tel them the batery life is since that seems to be most people's biggest complaint (for smart phones in general). The cover is rubberized and doesn't fall off like some people say.
As for battery life, i unplug and turn my phone on at 4:45am every morning and usually turn it off around 10pm and plug it in. in that time, my email is pushed every 30 minutes, my bluetooth stays on, i stream shoutcast or pandora for about 1.5 hours (to and from work), send and receive on average 15-20 text messages, talk maybe 45 minutes, and surf the web (gotta check engadget and xda, right?) for at least 30 minutes. the gps stays on the whole time and i only use my task killer once about 15 minutes after my morning startup when all the crap is running in the background. when i turn the phone off at night, it has usually just dropped to the 50% mark. well worth the $53 if you ask me...
2000mah battery
If I'm not mistaken, isn't this the battery that fits the stock back. Previous posts lead to dead link or relisted after relisted, on and on? If this is it, it's back on ebay. I had read somewhere on this site that it was worth the long wait.

Extended battery for original Droid?

Can the part MOTDRD2BATXW fit with the original Droid or should I stick to the Seidio slim battery instead?
I read that it does on a post. got to a verizon store and try it out. i have not personally tried either.
I saw a review that most of the aftermarket batteries fall short of claimed out put. buyer beware.
I am using a Droid 2 Extender battery in my Droid 1, and have been for months. I haven't noticed any issues yet, just keep in mind that you have to use the Droid 2 back cover (and it will be a tight fit).
Just have to use the extender battery door, because the extended battery (1850 mAh) is about 1.5 millimiters thicker.
what is its price?

a user on our german android forums (android-hilfe.de) had conducted a series of tests on these "extended" batteries and has (to sum it up) proven them to be pretty much pointless. the mAh value printed on is a lie to say the least, and the added bulk and need for a new battery cover drives the price up to a point where you´d simply be better off (cheaper and in terms of battery life) with an additional "normal" battery.
would explain why there seems to be virtually NOBODY that is using these extended hulks of a battery ^^
I think an original BP7X motorola battery can really boost the duration...

I use extended batteries constantly on my CDMA HTC Hero200 and on my Moto Droid 1. They last a great deal longer and yes they do make the phones look like a brick but it makes up for it in the time the phone can stay on longer. I'm in the military and my Hero stays on for 2-3 days without needing a recharge if I'm not constantly messing with it. If I'm actively doing things with the phone it draws more power. Also if you leave the GPS and Wi-Fi on it draws more power. Everything makes a difference. Close all apps you don't need running and shut down anything not needed for longer battery life. Overall, for 10 dollars on EBay you can't beat it,I'll make that user on the German Android Forums look like a chump when it comes to batteries.
I bought the extended battery a few weeks after getting my D3. Typically, I get more than 24 hours to a charge. That's with quite a bit of texting, phone calls and surfing. The battery comes with a new back cover for the phone.

You can find one here particularly for milestone 3300mAh [HLI-A855XL]
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-milestone-with-battery-in-black-3300mah.html
With the BP7X battery being around 1 to 1.5mm thicker can you just remove the sticky sponge pad on the back of the Droid/Milestone battery panel? I'm hoping that works as the pad itself is around 1mm thick and is there to fill a recess and push against the battery.

Review Mugen Power 3900mAh Extended Battery

SKU: HLI-NexusSXL
Cell Type: Li-ION
Voltage: 3.7v
Capacity (mAh): 3900
Battery Door: Included
Original Battery Model: AB653850CA (1500 mAh)
Product: Mugen Power 3900mAh Extended Battery for Google Samsung Nexus S / T-Mobile Nexus S with Battery Door
Rom used: my own kwbr rom
Kernel: stock kernel ICS 4.1.1 (3.0.31-g3b0c5d2)
For all that are interested in an extended battery for the Nexus S here is a small review of the 3900mAh extended Mugen battery.
Unpacking and installing
The Mugen 3900mAh for the Nexus S came in the known package including quick start guide how to calibrate the battery. Shipped the day after ordering it arrived within 2 weeks. First thing you will notice is the size of the battery as well as the battery door. These are quite huge.
The 3900mAh battery has a perfect fit although I had to use some pressure the first time installing the battery. Battery door installed without any problems.
Using the battery
Although the backcover is pretty huge, making the Nexus S really a bulky phone, strange thing is it gives a great grip. So, let's clear battery stats after installing the hardware. After a week of usage I can say the battery is great. I can run this device for days! Check images for stats and info.
The Verdict
A very good battery although not cheap. No need to charge the phone on a daily basis instead of the stock battery. In the end I think I will only use this battery when on holidays. It will give you a brilliant battery life ... but it also completely changes the way the Nexus S feels. And that's one thing I like about this device. Conclusion in the end is it highly depends on personal taste and real need for a bigger battery. More juice you will get for sure!

FYI to drop a bit on the price, if you buy from Mugen official website, they offer a facebook discount. And their customer support is also very good quality. And i think all together this battery is worth every penny, it is a very good accessory indeed.

Droid 4 Extended/Aftermarket Battery

Does anyone know of any extended or aftermarket batteries that could work with the Droid 4 by replacing the internal battery?
I understand it is an internal battery, but that does not mean it cannot be removed :good:
You can take it out, but it's not supposed to be removed, so as far as i know no one makes one for the droid 4. Some ppl tried putting in a razr maxx battery, but they then found out that the battery doesn't fit into the same slot. What you can do is get an external battery or maybe you can see if they make cases with battery's in them like they do for the iphone and other devices. Hope i helped.
I have been looking for a case that has an extra battery in it and i cant seem to find one anywhere. If anyone finds one please let me know. I use my phone everything so it would be nice to not have to take my charger with me all the time.

Sadly, I haven't heard of any anywhere. One of these days I want to tear one apart and see if I can't hack in a battery adapter or something...

Do Droid 4s share the same battery with a Razr? If so, the Razrs can upgrade to the Razr Maxx battery with some tinkering. I foresee problems finding a bulged backplate for a Droid 4, though.

the mugen site doesn't list the d4. closest thing is the d3 and photon (not the photon q, which looks a lot like a d4), both of which have regular removable batteries, so it doesn't look good for us. esp now that it looks like the droid5 just got leaked... and it doesn't seem to have an easily replaceable battery either.

I just puchased the mugen extended battery. It does add a little more bulk and unable to get a case that will fit the larger door. Other than the power meter not able to show true battery life. It is a software limitation. I do like the longevity of the battery though. My original battery would die while I was asleep after about 5 to 6 hours offBT the charger just sitting idle with no wi-fi or BT on.

hey there! Figured I would chime in on some info concerning extended batts for the D4.. Even though I am not sure that this pertains to the particular model you are looking at, I have found one that works extremely well, and does not need an extended back for the phone. It has thicker cells, and I've gotten more than a day out of it. Given that is not full use of course, but still thats almost unheard of (at least for me) when it comes to the D4. Also, I have to say that I was a bit pretentious at first, because this battery is sourced from china/japan on eBay. Anyways here is your link!

Yeh they have a extended battery 2085 mAh using stock door but the Mugen is 3800mAh which seems super capacity tho the device will become a bit thicker due to expanded door.
I don't mind the expanded door just want to know experience of people who have used it - how long it takes to charge from 0 to 100% and does it almost give double battery life to Droid4 when compared to stock battery...
