[INFO] OLYEM U4 1.4.2 SBF International Compat List. - Atrix 4G Android Development

Hey guys,
PLEASE REGARD THE INFORMATION BELOW AS A REFERENCE ONLY!!!
Here are the ATRIX SKUS that we can confirm OLYEM U4 1.4.2 to work on:
South Korean Atrix (Information pending)
Brazillian Atrix (Base OLYLA U4 0.50.0)
Argentinian Atrix (OLYLA U4 0.50.0 Variant)
Canadian Atrix (OLYLA 0.37.4)
Australian Atrix (Obvious.)
This has shown to unlock HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) on the Korean and Brazilian models. As for the other phones, it is unknown whether or not they are restricted in this fashion. Telstra modem caters to all these regions as it is world phone standard and therefore does not hinder connectivity.
Korean Atrix was confirmed tonight as someone repaired a full brick using 1.4.2
As for Brazillian Atrix there have been numerous posts on XDA as well as Brazilian forums. Argentinian Atrix followed suit as well.
If you brick your phone on your STOCK ROM, please PM me and I'll gladly help.

[Q] Which Tab do I have?

Alright so I am the proud new owner of a GT-P1000R on Rogers (Canada). I know in the States a different Tab was released for each carrier but what does this translate to for my version? Is it the Sprint, Verizon, etc equivalent? It is a GSM Tab so that narrows it down but I can't find which carrier the GT-P1000R corresponds to. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys
GSM - most GSM variants are gt-P1000, the "R" is for Rogers.... Its carrier branded. You need to check if the bootloaders are locked before playing with new roms, find the bootloader patch apk here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
It is most like euro tab, AT&T or T-mobile. Don't flash CDMA or P1010(wireless only) roms or you will brick your new toy...
Cheers...

[Q] Chinese CDMA i889 model compatible with N7000 ROMs?

Hello,
I am wondering whether the Chinese i889 model, which is the 3G CDMA version for China Telecom, would be compatible with the ROMs for the N7000?
If not, is there a CDMA model (US or other country) that can work on China Telecoms 3G CDMA network using the N7000 (or other western) ROMs?
Thanks for answering!
No, you may brick your device.

[Q] Is there any problem to use a kdz from a country different?

Hi everyone.
I have an LG P880 (LG 4X HD) that I bought in Peru, it came with Android 4.0.3 I (V10b). I want to upgrade to JB to unlock the bootloader but in the list of official updates my country is not listed.
Someone told me that it can be an issue with the frequencies, Peru uses 850Mhz/1900Mhz bands like American countries but many other countries (including those of the official update list) use 900Mhz/1800Mhz.
My question is: There would be any problem if I upgrade using the file from another country?
My phone is rooted
Thanks to all comments.
PS: Sorry for my English.

N9600 - Samsung Pay + Verizon CDMA support

Hey guys,
I want to get a N9600, because I want the Snapdragon and the extra LTE bands, but I also don't want to have to choose between Verizon support and Samsung Pay.
After reading every post I can find on the topic, the situation is:
1) If you get a Hong Kong N9600, Samsung Pay works, but VZW CDMA does not
2) If you get a Latin N9600, VZW CDMA works, but Samsung Pay is not supported
3) If you get a Hong Kong N9600 and flash Latin firmware, VZW CDMA remains broken due to some CSC issue that can only be fixed with root
4) If you get a Latin N9600 and flash the Hong Kong firmware, Samsung Pay works, but VZW CDMA breaks
5) You can get VZW CDMA to work on any N9600 if you root it, but knox will be tripped and Samsung Pay will be broken forever
However, I haven't seen anyone talking about the Mexico and Puerto Rico firmwares for the N9600. I have read about some previous generation Galaxy phones with similar issues, and they have been able to get full VZW support on international models, including VOLTE and Wifi Calling, by using the Mexico or Puerto Rico firmwares. Also, Samsung Pay is supported in both of these regions.
So, my questions are:
1) If we take a Latin America N9600 and flash the Mexico or Puerto Rico firmware, will VZW CDMA remain intact?
2) If we take a Hong Kong N9600 and flash the Mexico or Puerto Rico firmware, will VZW CDMA be un-broken? (doubtful)
3) If I am able to source a N9600 that comes from the factory with Mexico or Puerto Rico firmware, will we have VZW CDMA and Samsung Pay out of the box?
BUMP
Worth noting:
I am using a Hong Kong (TGY) N9600 on Verizon. For me, CDMA, LTE, and VoLTE all work after flashing Detonator. I currently use a Latin firmware (N9600ZHS1ASB1) but I am also going to try using the latest Oreo version for the Hong Kong firmware (ASA5).
p.s. if you are rooted (you have to be rooted to use Detonator therefore you have to be rooted to be able to use N9600 on Verizon), then you will lose Samsung Pay. Maybe there is an xposed module, but I don't know about it yet, and I don't know everything. I will keep looking but personally I do not use Samsung Pay so it's not a problem for me.
