any one have code for optimus 2x su660?
2945#*990 (Simlock Menu) - lets you enter the unlock code for simlock; useless if your phone is already unlocked.
3845#*990# (another test menu) - text in Korean

Kind of dangerous thread, because someone could post a malicious USSD to make users wipe their phones... I for one won't test any code from here, even if I think my Rom has already fixed the USSD bug.

You can still execute USSD codes
Try and dial *#06#

arcee: the star, the galaxy R, and the grand X are completely different devices. different components, different resolutions, different radios, different audio amps, different panel manufacturers, different almost everything. The designs have nothing in common other than being T2
tonyp: so it's either LG or nothing?
arcee: yes

It is all in the title, wondering if the GNote supports AVRCP 1.3 or 1.4 or not yet.
I know that BlueZ BT now supports it.
a small bump maybe
It seems,, according to official specs page, YEP it support AVRCP 1.3...

Oh thanks ! i had missed that !
If this is true that my MW600 should be able to display the name of the caller not only the caller Number (as well as the track name)
Can't wait to test that.

Please do post the test result.
I am planning to get mw600.
will receive my Note by the end of the week will test and get back to you (unless another member chimes in before that )
The built in player shows the track name. However I only see the incoming phone no on the receiver.
The audio sounds better with Samsung player compared to third party ones. But the Samsung player disregards track numbers in metadata.
The battery life for the receiver is good but if you don't already have it and thinking to get one, consider the following drawbacks:
volume level control is terrible.
Call button is also not placed in a proper location so you press it easily by mistake.
Also audio quality is nothing to write home about.

Got my note today, in my opinion mw600 works great with it.
Although I do agree.about the audio rocker for me the sound ha very good
can anyone put a light on any bt headset which shows caller names instead of numbers? for note

It does not shows the Caller name just shows the Caller number
I think it's not the Galaxy Note but Android. As far as I know Android doesn't support AVRCP 1.3 (that's why you don't see caller ID, only number).

Thanks a lot for posting this, even though in a "wrong section". In fact, I was searching for this and yours is the only post among the search results that really answered my needs.
Thanks . trying them .
I Tried searching on google, xda general, xda for LG Thrill 4G, everywhere, but just can't find a solution. Is there any way to disable the increasing call volume ?? I Hate that, and just can't find it anywhere on settings.... This is driving me nuts, please help !!
EDIT: I meant the increasing ringtone volume, my bad.
I agree....I want to hear it ring when it starts ringing. Some times it take a while till I can get my phone out to answer. And if I'm not hearing it till the second or third ring I would miss the call.

It seems this is not only an LG Thrill "feature." To fix it, it looks like you have to root the device and replace phone.apk. But it also seems that phone.apk can be custom for each device. Apparently, there is a way to modify an existing phone.apk. If you can try, I'd be interested in the results.

I Actually tried that, i've followed a guide, but the actual file that has to be modified isn't there... (Ringer$1.smali, THIS is the guide i've tried to follow)
It may not be the same name.look at the smali files one at a time until u find the code to edit..the main thing is to find that line of code and comment it with the # thus disabling that feature...i would use apk tool as that is what im use to using. I will try it later tonight and post apk file if no one gets it first.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Here is the editted phone.apk
Edit. Didn't work for me..wasn't too quite on first ring but definitely got loader.... I will double check edit and poke around in the ringer smali files later when I get some time .

Hi guys, so i was trying to look around for the secret menu aka "EngineerMode" for our device but it seems there is no code so far that can let you access it instead it seems they replaced it with "ProjectMenu" the old menu had a lot of tools such the ability to change the Audio settings and many other tools instead with the ProjectMenu you get access to more detailed information about your device also whether your sim is locked and you also can change the UI theme color from white to black and from black to white and many other info.
To enter to it insert the following code: *#*# 2846579#*#*
Good find. The UI theme change does not work for me though... Do I have to rebrand the phone and update before I can have access to change the UI color?
good point, doesn t work for me either

The color change doesn't work for me either, but in some Chinese forums I saw the white colour option. I think maybe it's dependent on the theme used by the phone the default themes that comes with the phone have only black color option.

Maybe... Tried with a few themes and no change. I like the light background more so it would be nice. Maybe we can get a CM/Stock ROM soon. Hopefully the community will grow and someone will be able too cook up something good.

Does anyone know anything further about engineering/secret access codes for Huawei/EMUI devices? I'm particularly looking for the cell network status info (normally *#0011# on Samsung) and RF Band selector (normally *#2263#). Anyone have any idea on how to get these menus on a Huawei phone? The password is a long numer you get when recuesting the Bootloader unlocked with the Manufacturer.
Still, i tried that with no luck, it just says key correct, but nothing else happens, Engineering menu still " projectMenu "

There is no such thing as Engineering mode on this phone because it's not using a Mediatek chip.
To change volume settings you need root. The files you have to modify can be found on /system/etc/audio/hi6402 and are named mixer_volumes_default.xml and mixer_volumes_GRACE_xxx depending on your variant.
Network band
Not sure if this is possible or if I am being dumb but is there any way to unlock network bands or does it depend on hardware? If so which secret code shows you network bands settings?

Maybe you also need to set true
Code:
ro.config.hw_menu_extend
.
It's written in ProjectMenuReceiver.java [decompiled from ProjectMenu.apk v2.00.003] but it doesn't work.
