Keypad dialer lag

I often dial using the default touch screen keypad on my Tilt but it's really bad; it lags heavily between presses and if I go too quickly it iwll lose the intermettent presses. Any known solution?

Which skin? I'm using what it came with.

Same problem here to. I saw the same problem with the hermes. Very anoing when u use a phone service that u have to enter serveral digits(code, bank accont etc)
Its probably not fixable

just disable the sound when clicking a button. This helps for me.

how do you do that? i checked all sounds and notifications
I have a full mute device , only cant find the sound settings for those buttons in the dialer , pretty annoing

Does this fix pressing buttons and it not responding? I use the beeps as confirmation that it actually responded...

Haptic Feedback?

Does anyone know how i can enable haptic / vibration feedback for virtual keys while SMS or Email?

I don't think it is possible. Haptic was included in test versions of the Diamond but poor user receptiveness meant that it was taken out of the final build. I've had a dig in the registry and can't find anything that hints it's still there but you never know there are some clever people here!

I have haptic feedback in the dialer dialpad. It works great

I second that!

For the dialpad, it should be the same reg edits as for any WM5/6 phone. Do a search for DTMF or VIBRATE in the Kaiser forum, and you'll find it.

I have a feeling he's using a 3rd party app...

I tried this and find the vibrate to be too strong. Instead, does anyone know how to enable the feedback which happens in Teeter, the 'bump' you feel when the ball hits an object?

vibrate for 0.15s, wait for 0.15s, vibrate for 0.15s, wait for 0.15s.
replacing *vibrate* with combination as per above. soft reset might be required.
not sure if that one works. should provide softer vibration if works.

This did not work. After modifying the registry as you directed, there was no vibration at all. If you have any other suggestions, let me know and I will give it a try.

I believe it doesn't install any files, it's just a reg tweak, so the only way to "uninstall" is to return these registry keys back to their default values. You might wanna do a search in the kaiser forum, but I'm not sure of that.

You can change them back without manually editting the registry. Just go to Start > Settings > Phone, and change the Kepyad tones to 'None', press OK, then reselect your preferred (None, Long or Short)

call list=call history, see first screen of yr thflo, under the clock and over yr next appointment. i think this is one of the +es of the thflo, being able to see call history without opening the phone

try a search in the xda-developers\development and hacking.
there are a lot of dialers with the history button on them. the problem is that i do not recall any of them working for VGA...

In the PHONE mode (Dialer) you have 'Contacts' on the left, and 'Menu' on the right.
If you look in the center, there is another Icon.
Tap on it.. and you have the call history

Add contact shortcut?

Is there a way to add a contact from the homescreen?

But im looking for a way to "add a new contact" shortcut
cause its a pain to add a new contact, need to press a few screen buttons..

you write a scipt using the "input keyevent" commands .. dont quote me on the command but its very similar to that .. and umm u gotta find the key mappings too ... i have it somewhere and will upload if u still need it
EDIT: uploaded a script that is almost 100% automated .. for some reason i cant get it to hit Menu so thats the only thing you have to do yourself ... after it brings you to your contacts you have 2 seconds to hit menu ... it should then go to the add contacts screen .. DO NOT hit anything besides menu from the time you start the script until you arrive at the add contact screen .... again this is a very crude script but it does what you want and with only ONE button press (not counting the one to start the script lol)
EDIT: also .. the manual way consists of only 4 button presses .. is that really too many? lol

4 button presses is actually too long. Numerous occasion where someone is giving me their number already and im still in the menu trying to add their contact number.

Why don't you just open up the keyboard and type in their number, then hit menu 'Add to contacts' ?

can't send caller ID, please help!

There's no part on my at&t Atrix HD's menu where I can change to "send (or show) my caller ID", so no one can see when I call.
Is anybody here who can help me?

(I used to have an other ICS phone which had this option..my Atrix HD doesn't have it)

Go to dialer. Push on the 3 menu dots. Settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom and go into additional settings. Caller ID.

Thanks man! I just don't really understand why can't be opened caller ID settings from "normal" setting.
