I have been giggling like a little school girl for the past 4 hours :lol:
For those of you that have playstation2, xbox, tivo, replaytv, basically any cool device with a hard drive.............................

I was just searching to see if this device existed or not. Not only does it EXIST but it is CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It works over the network with a compact flash card for caching. It can use HTTP to use a webserver for files or it can use any M$ based SMB share.
Web administrated, small, and made to replace a hard drive.
Now your XBOX can have an unlimited hard drive to store games, same with you playstation2 using HDAdvance.
Your DVR's now have true unlimited storage (as big of a networked raid you want to build).
For devices that do not natively share data like the replaytv, now they all share the same data. For instance multiple xbox's now see the same data on the hard drive and not limited to a single location. Your Xbox in Los Angeles sees the same data as your friend's Xbox in Las Vegas.
I can go on and on.
They are only 175$ and are called WEBasDISK. They should be available sometime by the end of January.

As some of you may know, I'm currently residing temporarily in Brussels while I do some lawyering. However, the TV channels in the hotel are terrible, and torrents are, suprisingly, blocked by the hotel's net connection.
Does anyone have a Joost invite going spare they could send over?

VJ buddy, no offense but after reading some of your resent messages it sounds to me like what you need is not streaming TV, but to go out and find the closest (what's the polite way of calling those establishments?) "massage parlor" and let the nice ladies "joost" you.

So, I'm feelin a little urge to play some Modern Warfare 2 last night, so I go to turn on my Xbox for the first time in about 3 months, and when I sign in I get an awesome little letter telling me that I have been "Suspended from Xbox LIVE until 12/31/9999," and that an email was sent to me explaining why.

I want to be the first to admit that I had it coming, though I have no idea what the cause was...I'd never modded my gamertag or avatar, but I did host a prestige lobby on my old JTAGged xbox (which got console-banned the same day lol)...What surprised me was the timing: I got PermaBanned days before I was going to have to shell out for another year of LIVE. Looks like I'm going back to the PS3! Hahaha

The LIVE Enforcement Team went all C.S.I. on yo' ass.

who needs live when u have jtaged xbox ... multiplayer is for lengthening the time u can spend on a game (with added goodies like 15yr olds screaming)

I don't have that JTAG anymore, though that's basically what I did do lol. I have an old Xenon box that I 'tagged a while back, but it's collecting dust because I don't have a 203w power brick.

What games do you play? cuz there's really no point in adding someone that doesn't play the same games lol it's not a race to see how many friends you can get you only add the people you know or are going to play with so there's a reason for them being on your friends list...

The point of a friends list is to add your, um, friends.

Also, I seriously doubt the legality of this. You say it's perfectly legal, but I bet you wouldn't email Sony and tell them that you're doing it.
Regardless, it sounds more like piracy than it doesn't, so it's not welcome.
