Touchpad backlight always on - LG Optimus 2x

Hi guys,
why are the touch buttons of smartphones illuminated? Because you have to see them when you want to press them. Why the hell do the buttons of the O2x get dark after some seconds after the unlock/last press, and turn on again after you have pressed them. I need them backlit when i want to press them, not after i have pressed one of them.
I want them backlit all the time the screen is on - like my desire hd.
Ive already permanently dimmed them with modacos app, so batterie shouldn`t be an issue.
Maybe theres already a thread, an app for that reason or even a system setting, unfortunately i have found none of them - so if theres a solution for that please, please help me.
thx

Screen bulges inward when Pressing START key

Hi all. I have a small question. When I press the left Soft key (Just under START)in my HTC S730, the screen (LCD) just above the button goes "inward" then when I release the button, it goes out (to normal). Its kind of the same effect if its a touchscreen. My friends HTC S730 does the same thing. Can anyone with an HTC S730 tell me if yours does the same thing. Its clear when you have the background with a black color. I don't know if this is normal or maybe me and my friend bought bad ones. Thanks.
No ONE?
I see that people are reading my post. But no one with an HTC S730 can reply??? Come on guys.
DOES THE SCREEN JUST ABOVE THE "START" BUTTON GOES INWARD WHEN PRESSING THE LEFT SOFT KEY BUTTON????????
Thanks.
had some test right now
if i press the sx softkey normally nothing happens
but if i press it with some power (i.e as when i tapping on the desk to hear the woodden noises or playng a key on an old piano) the display goes inward
but it is a millesimal issue, nothing to be notable if you didn't say me! (i had asked to test to my brother too, without advise he about the screen "game", he cannot see any differences)
is our screen "game" mostly evident?
(maybe it could be a fabbric disguise or an accidental fall?)
Thanks
thanks for the reply. And sorry you did not noticed this until now because of me. But mine is very noticeable. Whenever I press the START soft key button I see the inward effect. Does not need to be a hard press to show. I just wanted to know if this is normal with the device built. Thanks again for the reply.

How to disable back light of Keyboad - G1 - CM4.1.11.

all,I am using CM 4.1.11.1 with Community Hero Theme.
I know the reason for draining my battery but I don't know how to solve it, can any one help?
issue:
When you press phone END button to keep th ephone in SLEEP mode,
- Phone goes to SLEEP mode and the Screen light is OFF.
- But, the Light on Physical keyboard is not switched off some times.
To see this, Get into a dark room and press END button to keep the phone in SLEEP mode.
Once the Phone is in SLEEP Mode,Do not Slide your Keyboard, Keep as it is and observe the Light from space between Slider and keyboard.
(I observed while I was sleeping..my phone was off but there was some light coming out)
I think this is not happening all the times but I have seen it many times and it is draining my battery.
To solve this, I use to open the Slider Press END button and make sure the lights or OFF and close the Slider.
Has any one observed this? can any one tell me how to solve this?
Is there a way to disable and enable the back light of Keyboard?

i understand that you are using your phone alot, as most all of us do, but how many times do you open and close your phone that this is a problem?
i usually close the keyboard, press home, press end and all lights shut off. hope this helps.
palosjr, yes I do the same. But as I said it doesn't happen all the time.
Also, it happens only with CM 4.1.11.1. I am not sure what ROM u have.

Thanks man.
Finger....thanks a lot dude.

I really appreciate your info.
Here is the exact app name.... "backlight off"

[Q] CM and soft key backlight

When JB was out for o4x, it brought one cool feature that was missing in ICS - soft key light only lit up when you pressed them, instead anywhere on screen. However, CM has same behaviour as ICS. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, is there a way to configure how long the key lights stay on after you press them? I think araragi had sth like that incorporated in his CM rom, though I'm not sure
Edit:
Wrong subforum, meant to post this in q&a, sorry

Both possible, but as far as I'm aware, no one has done it yet.
I only implemented being able to keep them always on or always off or CM default, which is to turn off after the screen hasn't been touched for (I think) 10 seconds, not configurable.

[Q] screen stays black

This problem existed on my Galaxy Tab GT-P1010 before but now it's to the point where the device is becoming unusable.
When the device is on and I click to power button to get it out of hibernation/sleep, the screen lights up but stays black and the power buttons light up. The device itself is on since I can unlock it and feel the haptic feedback when I click the home button or hear the audio change from the volume buttons but the screen stays black. I have to try several times before getting it on and sometimes it doesn't come on at all. This used to happen before but it would come on after a few swipes. The annoying thing is that when the screen does come on then it works like usual.
This problem has existed for a long time on this device since I got it as a gift, I've rooted it since then and tried several different settings but with no results.
I'm now assuming it's a hardware problem so is there any way I can open it up to fix it (plan to get another tablet anyways so not worth the repaid cost). Are there any apps I can mess around with to try to find a solution?

[SOLVED]HTC One M7 thinks I use buttons, doesn't respond.

Hi all!
First of all, I'm not sure if I'm doing everything right here, so excuse me if I'm doing something wrong
I'm new.
I've had my HTC One M7 from aliexpress.com for 2 weeks and 2 days now.
Have had great fun of it, nothing seemed wrong, was working perfectly. There were some rumours about an unofficial android-version that was put on this phone, which might be the problem..
Everytime I turn the phone screen on it thinks I hold/doubletap/tap/repeatedly tap the home button, and sometimes when I power it off it thinks I hold the volume down-button and takes a screenshot.. When I finally get to type my 4-digit pin code, it unlocks, goes to home screen, does the same again. Seems like my phone thinks I'm using the buttons..
I've changed settings (in a legit official way via Settings) of my home button to Hold for menu, Hold and swipe up for Google Search, and double-tap for recent apps..
Have tried factory reset twice, have tried rebooting it over and over, have tried almost anything.. I'm at the point of buying a new phone now, because I fear that HTC will not help me because it's an unofficial version of Android.. Any suggestions?
Everytime I open an app it just closes it and goes to home, sometimes before it does that it opens recent apps.. After that it just freezes and I can't touch it. Sometimes after waiting a couple of seconds, I can tap the screen and maybe it's fast enough to open for example WhatsApp, and then it just shuts off and does what I just stated.
Really weird!
I'm quite desperate. Could a custom ROM (Cyanogen or Android lollipop) fix this perhaps?
Please, help

This is purely a hardware issue. Your home button is somehow always in "on" position. Given it's a capacitive button, it could be the digitizer or a scratch on the home button area

Any idea on how to fix this?
This is somewhere about what I mean, read my reply also.
This might even be closer to what I mean.
Should I just send it back to HTC or can I fix this myself, with your heroic help?

Seems like just the thing I wrote. Considering it's a hardware issue you could replace the screen-digitizer assembly by yourself if you are familiar with that kind of work. I tried once on my old Desire and fried the motherboard, so I don't have cojones to do it [emoji6]
