Iphone Beer and iwash apps for Diamond?

Hey all,
This is my first post on here so be gentle please!
I just got a touch Diamond and i love it, My boss got the new iphone and he has all those apps where u press a button and it fills with beer or a chick comes out and washes the inside of the screen. What i am wondering is, Is there any like those for the Diamond? Or could any of you very kind developers hack one or make one that would work?
I mainly want the one where the chick comes out an cleans my screen coz im a perv!!

I have seen pretty much everything else from the iphone come over to our phones so I'm sure it is out there somewhere (cannot say that I have seen it yet though)

i know its early days at the mo, so i dont mind waiting for this stuff but if anyone has or does see anything like these two apps for the Diamond then id really be interested !

really, really very important subject and posted not in "diamond", no.....it has to be started in "ROM development"...keep spamming! keep pushing the real important stuff to the 2nd and 3rd pages with yr spam. please read the rules, read a few posts, understand the way this forum is build and only than post. no, there is no development of beer/popcorn gifs/effects here ! iPhone needs this kind of stuff to be appealing and to make ppl forget that it is not coming even close to the the apps of diamond. yes, judging by his size he can be good at making popcorn!

There is a post in the this topic about a lightsaber app that uses the acceleromitor (SP?), and i noticed none of you guys had gone in there to flame the guy who made that post!
Surely these are the same kind of things, The beer app isnt a video. As i said in my fist post my boss has the iphone an that app an it's no video, it moves as you move you're phone around.
If you have a problem with where a post is put then all you had to do was alert a mod or ask for it to be moved not go an Epeen mission. I signed up to these forums because ive been reading through them for about 2 years lookin for advice or cool apps for my older PDA's that ive had an this didnt seem like the kind of place where people were arse's for no reason!

no, the post is in the "diamond" section not "diamond rom development"
the guy posted where this kind of things should be posted and he posted an application not questions about some hypothetical, nonexistent applications.
the space in this forum and in the first page specialy is "expensive".
ppl are watching posts regarding ROMs and important stuff related to diamond. each time a noob start a thread like yrs he pushes the really important stuff to the next pages.
what's so difficult to understand and to accept? why argue?!
nobody asked from you explanations or apologies. all we are asking you is to stop. come and check the forum from time to time and if there will be such an application you'll see it posted exactly like the saber....got it?
one thing more...stop asking here stuff that you see on iPhone...this is a diamond forum and we don't really love the "i" word.
now, are we OK? should i explain it to you again? with simpler words? should i bring here a few more members to ask you nicely to "let it go"????

Well, that's cool. The first time...

So you got flamed, so what?! the point of that is you have to learn from it. and if you have read these forums for two years you should know by now to post in the correct thread and the correct forum for your questions or needed advice. Everyone here is willing to point you in the right direction but some people react different to wrong posts etc.. but hey,eveybody is different and also you can have a bad day or be cranky,so dont be sad about it, just go to the right forum and thread and someone will help u if they can. keep the peace. greetings

I want the one where a girl actually apears out of nothing Cleans the drewl from my chin, then from my phone and then magicly makes a thread move to different forums.
That would be kewl.
I've taken a look at some of the apps.
They got one mayor Plus.
They look good.
But most of them aren' t that functional. (from what i've seen)
But that might also change.
Chapeau Steve Jobs, for bringing out this SDk that will allow for all these great apps that most consumers seem to want.
Is there a Remote Desktop app for the Iphone BTW?
I like general ChitChat.

Problem with Data Connection and Itjes Touch IT ROM

First of all it is a great ROM, i just love it!! So Thanks Itje.
My Carrier is o2 Germany and i encounter some problems with my data connection. IM+ keeps losing the connection, resulting in switching between on- and offline every 20 seconds. This is not only very disturbing while chatting, but after 20 times or so, my ICQ Account gets blocked for one hour for security reasons.
Same goes for Opera Mobile, when i google Something i get Connection Problems, after hitting refreh for 3 or 4 times, Pages load just fine.
I found out that other people have the same problem, especially people on T-Mobile and i searched for a possible solution, because it was mentioned that [email protected] posted a work-around but all i could find was a Proxy Setting for T-Mobile NL posted by him, so what i would like to ask is if anybody found a solution to fix this problem, because apart from the otherwise excellent ROM this really "grinds my gears" ;P
And please, if anyone is offended by this post or thinks i did not search enough, just use the "Back" Button in your Browser and i apologize for wasting 10 seconds of your day =)
I Just thought if this problem got solved already and many other users suffer the same conditions, a solution should be more accessable and not be hidden somewhere in 2500 Posts.

I agree! Even when I try to download e-mail and retrieve headers it keeps saying it loses the connection. I have to try a few times and "hope" it doesn't drop the connection. Same with Windows Live Messenger.
I REALLY like itje's ROM's but I think he does some radio/registry tweaking for radio connectivity, and somewhere down the road a tweak broke something
A real shame I have full signal 3G/HSPA or full signal EDGE and it keeps dropping the connection every half a minute or so...

well the old fashion way is the only way anyone's gonna tell you to do.
that or you get luky someone has the solution to the problem your facing and decide to post link or fix for ya.
like someone else said before, if you can read enough to flash a rom, then you can read enough to find a solution.
if every person had a problem and don't search (like your doing now) this forum would continue to clog.
you are causing the same bull sh*t cycle that you hate, by starting a thread KNOWING FULL WELL someone has a solution/problem for this rom.

yes i agree the search engine is not perfect, it shows post of every single word you type in it. but that is the best it's gonna be for a search engine. the only thing better than that is searching your self.
i write down my own search engine. i start reading from begining of thread, take notes of the post# that has either problem or solution, page to know where i'v read up to, reading every single new post for a fix or solution. i keep reading until i'v got to the most current post, by then just sit and relax for what happens next.
everyone wants to find the answer fast but there is no quick way to it. if there was, the staff would have already done it BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH STUPID SH*T EITHER. why would they want to spend their free time dealing with answer issues when they've spent plenty of time on the rom itself?!!?!?! if you really love this rom that was GIVEN TO YOU, put in the extra time to just read and figure out the easy part. make time to do something you claim you love.

Okay, i know i had it coming but i never forced anyone to read the thread nor to post in it. If you get that mad with such threads just don't post, that also makes threads longer. And with not hidden in any threads i do not mean that nobody should search, no, by no means i do mean that. I just thought maybe it could become a sticky post or be written into the wiki. Believe me i searched but after reading 2 hours of posts that didn't help i just thought someone who knew the answer would be nice enough to post the link again.
But obviously i do not have to apologize to waste any of your time, because you seem to have the time to flame around a little bit and tell me things which i said you need not tell me and just leave this thread.
It's just funny how when a question gets asked several times 100 people do have the time to write thousands of lines just to flame at the people instead of using just 10 seconds to leave the thread (which would result in less posts for the search engine) or posting a solution (which would result in thread being closed). I am a guy who always uses the Search engine first and i definately don't give up after 5 minutes of search, but some problems are harder to find via the search than are others, that's the problem. And if i get the feeling that my solution is not to be found, what would you do? Just leave it at that, or post in a board that brilliantly helps everyone who needs help. Okay i can see that i should have posted in the right thread, not start a new one, but the outcome would have been exactly the same.
Now i know that some threads really are useless, but believe me, some people just are unfriendly and rather spend an eternity writing stupid comments than posting a solution, even if they already did so 2 or 3 times=) I helped on problems that were discussed several times myself and i even wrote personal messages with the solution instead of filling up the board. Personally, when i think a thread makes me mad, i leave it and i do not spend any more time of my life on reading/posting in this thread.

what you apologising for? have you been told off by the moderators? NO! ya can post whatever you like if ya feel like it. you have no reason to apologize at all! you haven't broken any rules nor offended anyone! in most threads wen people encounter problems they seem to post the same issue over and over again and fixes may have already been posted earlier! that seems to annoy people as some others tend not to search prior to posting. sometimes i can see how peops feel as these threads are quite long especially on anything itje releases. dont know whether you searched or not but in future maybe you should ok!

i agree that what i post is annoying, same as post like his are too for starting this thread. you say what right i have to flame at him? i can ask you the same thing, what rite do you have for addressing my issue i don't have at you? that's rite Fards is on the touch it team, so he does have the authority to say something. does that mean only the team of the rom is allow to post only? im dealing with this problem all the time on any custom rom. the only solution for me is to use the stock rom, i have tried every other way/solution, none of them work for me.

I also have the same problem.
I use IRC a lot on my X1, and with Itje's ROMs, pocketIRC disconnects itself in 30 seconds or so.
I have read through the Touch-It9 thread and also used the search function without coming up with any answers.
I would be grateful if someone could simply post a link to the relevant fix.
I'm currently using smarberg's TouchX V7, no such problems with this ROM.

Positivity!

I have experienced growing tensions in this part of the forum for a while. People flaming each other here and there because of things that is best left ignored or easily solved. I'm not perfect but here's my way of thinking and I think this forum would thrive if all flamers would stick to it.
Be positive. Have a gentle mindset when it comes to reporting bugs/issues you might have. If someone tells you to search, try yourself, ask them for a search term or just explain what you searched for and how you could not find it. It someone asks you something, don't go hating on the person for asking a dumb question, you have the choice to either ignore or help. Flaming should not be an option. DO NOT FLAME AND USE DOWNGRADING WORDS, PLEASE.
Today, someone expressed their feelings about itje's Touch IT 9.0 ROM and this has led to Touch IT being a closed ROM only availible to those who is friends with itje or those who he chooses to take part of his release group. This could have easily been avoided if certain words hade not been put into use. Please, think for a second before posting you negative answers. It has effects on other cooks and forum members.

I am very new to this forum. This is only my second post. But i have been here for 1 month now and i agree with you.
I have been on many forums that has users who uses negative answers and forgive me if i sound little harsh to itje and all others who coock ROM's. But this is the internet. There will always be someone who don't like what you or me are doing.
Sure i would also be sad if too many say they don't like what i am doing but this would aspire me to do better.
If i could coock ROM's like you in this forum could then i would do so even if someone doesn't like it.
Sorry if someone doesn't like what i'm saying but i have been on many forums where people have left because someone doesn't like what they are doing.
And i don't understand that. I'm sorry but i don't.

funny that! i have been saying this all along! look at my post in the old thread 'everyone is a cooking master these days'. now there is a thread that should never have been started but which highlighted they way things have gone on here! some people who have been on here longer than others for some reason class themselves as above others and feel they have the right to make assumptions about people by their posts!. some might have seen my post in the touch-it 9 thread re the sms issue that was plaguing latest rhodium manila. if ya look you will see fards response to me posting my issues in that thread! basically he assumed that he knew about who i was by that and told me that i needed to get married etc to understand how itje felt about people posting probs over and over again. now i got offended by that cause one he doesn't know me and 2 what gives him the right to address me like that! You have the right as much as anyone to get angry, but this is not what this thread is about. I am, through this thread, asking everyone to reconsider the things they have written before they post it so that we can avoid leaving cookers, hurt feelings and sold devices. Simply a request.

misunderstood mate as always! i totally agree wid what you said and was listing an example of how i have experienced what ya chat about! never angry mate as words dont bother! just dont like assumptions being made about me by what i have posted! rememba i am cool, live cool and dont stress anything!

Exactly - choice. Many people choose to flame when the mature thing is to just help or ignore, or simply search or ask again nicely. I'm sorry I missunderstood you post as angry.
To further answer, what I suggest is that fards sold his X1 for a Touch HD, if it was because he was tired of the mood in this part of the forum or not I do not know. itje has chosen to not make his ROMs public and as a result of this I read that one person was planning on selling their X1. It all has a domino effect. If it is right of these persons to react like they do is debatable, but they are entitled to their own reaction. The thing is that I don't think that people are aware of the consequences of being rude.
That is why I started this thread - so that people can avoid to piss each other off and so that we can have a helpful and productive forum.

do you think that requesting donations has some part to play with the way people post? i think that no money is free and certain people donate and expect something in return! if they don't get that then they seem to get angry and it reflects in post! i am not saying that only people who donate do that in any way. i honestly think that donations should only go to the people who started this whole xda thing and keep it running! also the people who release the kitchens as they make rom building possible! i just feel that when you take from people even if its donated there is a certain amount of pressure and expectancy that comes with that! when it is not delivered the reaction can be severe thus the recent backlash in certain threads! only my opinion!

What about to set some report thing that would make like a % warn except it would say % flamer and than people would wach their reputation?
Also you could click report flame/spam post and if enough people would think it is spam it would tag the user and make that post fade.... (like on thottbot http://thottbot.com/i13262 you can see the good comments are yelow and comments with rating lower than 5 arent even shown (but you can change the treshold)
Maybe a filter "do not show post from users marked flamers more than 30 times"
This is a developers forum; I'm sure there is some folks who can write a thing or two to make the forums better
Just throwing ideas here, because I belive people can't change based on one post (specialy the flamers and spammers don't), so why not a more direct approach...

this is why i have suggested in the past that cooks have read only release threads, this way, found faults, fixes updates etc can be kept together. a seperate thread can then be made to discuss faults.
I dunno just rambling now and adding no value, please ignore me

I think that made perfectly good sense man Thanks for understanding what I meant with this thread.

I dont know, but flaming goes both ways in this forum or any other forum as a matter of fact.
a. A newbie comes in and asks a question, some chefs flip out and be like read the bloody first page or other works I did in a not so mild manner. True I believe that they should have read the instructions on the first page in highlighted color, but no need to come off as an asshat towards anyone.
b. a newbie flashes their rom to one of the customs, I believe that the guy who flashed their rom have no right to be like this is **** i lost some of my features. That is a serious slap in the face for the chef who put in their hard work to create this rom. Remember chefs are doing this for us for free, we are not obligated to flash ... we flash by our own accord and have to agree to some sort of disclaimer about device performance when flashed. So if you flash, and have some issues, take a look at the first page for their bugs, if not do an in thread search for the exact same problem that you are having, chances are you would find the solution.
c. This one is a classic ... someone asks a question, quickly some guys reply, do a damn search, stating comments that people are idiots or something to the sort ... basically flaming the question poster hard making it seems that the question poster wasted this amount of time or bandwidth on their part. I swear some flamers are extremely melodramatic, waiting for every chance to get off on someone and secretly high five someone in their society.

bottom line is guys, chill out take it easy. this here isnt a life or death situation, you wont die if you do a quick search on something, nor you wont die if you just help someone in a polite manner or maybe just ignore them.

In the last 2 year as winmobile widely spreads up (because of carriers, mode, prettier devices and so on) this has become a 50% dev and 50% leech forum. 20% of leech are going to become future devs and want to "learn", the last 30% are only noobs who wants "free lunch" and pretend to be 100% assisted to make their device cooler. I often read "sorry but I can't read 50 pages of thread..." WHAT?!?!?!?! Someone has spent dozen of hours to cook a rom or develop a program and you deserves yourself the right to don't read?!?!!?

Please read the thread rules (in sticky topic). Although it would seem logical to post that here, It would lead to all sorts of people posting random stuff if Q's was allowed which would then flood forum and keeping eye on latest releases would be a pain in the arse.
IMO we should have a dedicated Development chat/Q&A forum so that all non-release dev topic would have a place because at the moment there is a hole that isnt been filled and people have no where to ask such specific questions. The normal Q&A just isnt really the place to ask dev questions.

Lol , i wad expect that why u have to be an a**le sometimes just to mention that im not good in english , buddy i admit it many times and im not saying im english freaker . I stopped cuz ppl will hate if i continue doing this , sometimes i do inform and sometimes just keeping quit is a good thing though

I only quote you and speak about your bad English when you quote somebody else or take what somebody said out of context which you have done on many occasions.
On this occasion I referred to a English phrase "Pot calling kettle black" because you was accusing others what you do you self, Now If I had just said that phrase on its own, majority of other people would have known what I was talking about but you wouldn't so I also made a note about your English and gave you an explanation, What I said was said in jest/banter I was not been an arsehole, If you feel otherwise or cant accept that I dont give a sh*t go have a cry in the corner.

hotspot error after 7.1.1 Pure Nex Flash

Everything seemed to update smoothly except one of my most used features, the mobile hotspot on Nex6. When I enable it it reports as an "error". Any help?

Flash the ex kernel, as recommended in the thread, for hotspot to function..

Owning a Nexus device period is enough to belong to a community of people who enjoy learning about development and Android OS and the capabilities of smartphone technology. Most of us learn from trial and error or researching the internet.
Basically I'm sick of trolls who think they are the public internet forum police, lashing out at anyone who might have a question that boosts egos which hide behind the screen of anonymity. Normally I can look past these acts but sometimes you just want to use the app or site for information, questions and answers.

I have been using Pure Nexus 6.0.1 for near 2 years now so I didn't even think to read in detail. The title made it seem stable enough. I knew there was an simple fix. I sincerely appreciate the time and answers.:good:

Thanks, I wasn't aware a different kernel had to be flashed, everything seems to be working now.

Please don't take this the wrong way... Is not that people don't want to help, it's that some people don't search before posting a question. I've seen people ask a question where the answer was posted 1 minute before they asked the question. I've seen the same question get asked and answered multiple times on the same page. When you've been in a thread long enough you will see the same thing and you will say "I see what they're talking about". Me, I see the same questions, but I don't answer them with smart remarks. I just stay quiet. I've learned to search first, or wait and my problem will surely get asked about from someone else. Enjoy your phone.. And keep asking questions when you don't know the answer.

Well when I'm searching for one simple answer and I see that there's thousands for posts, then the simpler solution for myself is to post a question. My issue may be different than someone else's. Regardless of any excuse I may have I still do not understand what you want me to do. Why do you feel you have to correct the way I use a site in a way that does not affect you whatsoever. It takes the topic away from a tech question and makes it about your opinion , that's not why I posted the op. Thankfully there's those who are on here that will post a solution.
So now that I've taken a few minutes to address your concern the same way you have, when it's all over and done we have both just wasted our time. Just so you know I will be logging out of XDA forums because the amount of troll activity is not even worth the simple questions answer. Btw I research way before I even consider asking someone. I posted in the ****ing Nexus 6 general troubleshooting, and I'm pretty sure my question met the requirement. You should be grateful that people like myself even use XDA at all for any information, there is only millions of other sites who offer the same info.

Again.. No disrespect intended... And I do love to debate( my wife says that I get on her nerves). I don't consider our conversation a waste of my time. I appreciate the fact that you addressed it. Yes, you can post your way, speak freely, burn the flag, carry a weapon, rush an old lady across the street, or use politically incorrect terms if you want. I had the same question as you regarding mobile hotspot. I went into the development thread, I clicked "search this thread" at the top, typed "mobile hotspot", and had my answer quicker then typing a new question.
