Have you thought of flashing a theme? UOT kitchen works fine for me, you must be doing something wrong IMO

The install script from UOT doesn't work properly. You have to manually put them into your phone using supermanager or root explorer and replace the 2 apk's manually then reboot or you could replace them from within the 5.3 zip and reflash.
Have you checked out the 7 themes we have available for Continuum v5? Link is in my sig.

Theme for dialer

Ok I got kaosfroyo v35-1 and would like to theme my dialer if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I was having trouble installing any theme on a 6.1 rom. Bootloop city.
You could try dialer one in the market, there's a few options to change the colors and it has t9

You need to theme the contacts.apk, that's where the dialers png's live. I have a flashable theme (blue) that worked on kaosfroyo v34. Haven't tested on the current versions, thought I'd try a different rom or two. Anyway I can send it to you so you can see what's involved if you want.

Yeah just pm me and would I just flash it or use mm

Aha! That was confusing the crap out of me.....I applied a MM theme and it FC'd as soon as it would hit the phone.apk, but when I'd reboot the phone would be themed.....contacts.apk, never would have thought about that one.
Thanks for the info.

That is exactly why I made it flashable vs MM, due to them darn annoying FC's when MM was flashing the phone and contacts apk...
Will upload and share in a jif!
Normal rules apply, I am not responsible if you brick your phone, yada yada... [EDIT] Do make a nadroid backup
Here is the flash-able theme I created. BlkandBlueStorm
I got most of the blue from nonsensikal and other pieces here and there, don't recall right now where. (if you are the owner/creator of any piece let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.)
Just flash like a normal ROM or open it up and see how it was built. If you take it apart and add your own tweaks, you'll need to resign the package so that you can flash it just like any ROM.
curious to know what you think of it.
Just tried it and it put my phone into a cycle of rebooting. Thanks anyways

sorry, mate, I was reading that some folks were having issues with flashing themes to kaosfroyo 35-1 and thats when I decided it was time to try out another froyo rom.
Funny thing is that the theme works great on kaos 34 and nonsensikal v 7.5, however when flashing to nonsensikal 8.2 my wifi status symbol disappears. I have looked and all the files match between my theme and the roms files. Puzzling and will be working on it. If I get it working correctly, I'll let you know.
Sounds good appreciate the work

I wanted to request a vanilla theme. That's all... For DI01 preferably.
It'd be interested in this as well. At least something that is AOSP-ish looking.

So those two APKs are all that we need?
im not responsibile for your actions, if you brick your ish its your fault.. Im simply trying to help out those that want the aosp theme.... So with that being said **try at your own risk**
im not giving instruction on how to use these since anyone with experiance would know how to....
CREDIT DUE TO AOSP Magic by bubby323 for the theme and rom I've simply ripped the files needed to port the theme
Okay, here are the files needed. THIS IS NOT FLASHABLE IN CWR. Unzip the files, and push to system/framework. I would like to see if someone would make this compatible with DJ05. This is a bit different from bubby's, as bubby's has a few incorrect icons, most noticeably the signal meter. Also, you need the services.jar in order to get the black text in the notification bar. If anyone would like to package this up to have it work with DI01, please do so. Also, any of you theming masters out there, could you please port this for DJ05, I simply do not have the time or patience, lol.
+1 on a dj05 port =)

Transparency requires both png and xml edits. There are plenty of guides on the interewebs.

Does anyone know an easy way to make a transparent status bar for cm7 theme chooser? I've tried several times in uot kitchen with an apk from theme chooser and it never works right!! Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance

Easiest way would be to open up the status bar image in Photoshop or GIMP and turn the transparency to 100% (visibility 0%).
Cheers.

being you know how to properly compile and compile and resign the apk. haha
just for future refrence. i will let you all in on a secret. if you want to edit cm7 themes or framework res apks.
if you install the program winrar. and extract the image you want to edit. so long as it isnt a .9.png. you can simply edit the image and drag it back into the still opened folder in winrar and you wont have to recompile. if you want a tutorial vid i can make one.

If it's a transparent image, .9.png extensions don't matter though.

A video would be awesome!! Cause I definitely don't know how to do all that. yeah i have never seen anyone make the status bar transparent. i have seen the notification background transparent but never the bar itself.. but either way if your gonna add transparency or all one color then it doesnt matter. all .9 does is tell android how to stretch an image and where text is allowed on it. u can still edit it and paste it back in

That would be awesome!! I was gonna try messing around tonight at work since I don't have a computer at my house at the moment......I'm probably still gonna try really don't know exactly what I'm doing but I'll never learn I'd I don't try. But if you would like to you could try. I can give you the system.apk and framework.apk just let me know I'm on a cm7 nightly though not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA App
You're on the current CM nightly everyday right?
That would be a problem.
As the .png that I would change would get overwritten on each update.
Yeah I want sure about that....kinda thought that would be an issue. Well for now I'll just keep it a it is and when a stable build comes out then I'll mess around with learning some themeing. If I have any issues or questions do you mind if I pm you? I'll read and look up things before bothering you haha

When you say the "file" you mean the image or the apk? Because I don't think apks for ICS can work on a phone with GB. :S
I want it to look like this....
There is a tutorial here:

But it is for Galaxy Ace so I don't think it would fit on my screen.... Please help me, is the only thing i need to make my phone look 100% ICS.
EDIT: Actually I check on google and I noticed Galaxy Ace's screen is HVGA too.... (320x480) Let me try this to see if it works... Thanks anyway
EDIT 2: It doesn't work... after applying it it reboots and then i have a bootloop. Any way to make this work? Please help!

What you mean by "dpi"?
My phone is a Live with walkman (320x480) resolution so this images posted on the thread have to work on my phone.
Here is what I did:
Installed Ninjamorph
Copy framework-res.apk to SD.
Open apk with Ninjamorph.
Replace png files posted in the thread I just mention before.
Finish project
Replace original framework-res.apk with the new one (new pngs) with the right permissions.
And that`s it. But it doesn't work.
Oh sorry dude, today i was messing around with build.prop changing dpi and pattern lockscreen looked just like yours.

So.... is there a way to change this To make CM7 pattern lockscreen look like ICS??
