[Q] E:Can't find update script - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to flash CyanogenMod 6 onto my G1 / HTC Dream (german, T-Mobile) but it says "E:Can't find update script"
I do have installed DangerSPL. When I boot the device in fastboot it says:
...
HBOOT-1.33.2005 (DREA11000)
...
RADIO-2.22.23.02

[Q] ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7 Error

Hey guys!
I have ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7. on my HTC Dream.
I wanted to update my radio with this thread .It says there it is for the mytouch 3g but in a thread for the HTC Dream was this link for updating radio for dummies.
So i tried this and i only get the hboot 1.33.0013d
Now when i want to flash a new rom it always says:
ClockworkMod v.2.5.0.7
E:Cant´t mount /dev/block/mmcblk0
(or /dev/block/mmcblkop1)
(No such file or directory)
E:Can´t mount /sdcard
So i searched for this error and some people say you have to flash a new recovery with fastboot.
I was using this theard to use fastboot.
I boot into fastboot with pressing <power> and <back> .
It says there:
DREAM PVT 32B SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.33.0013d (DREA11000)
CPLD-4
RADIO-2.22.23.02
Oct 21 2009,22:33:27
FASTBOOT USB
<CAMERA STEP2> HBoot Mode
<Send> Reset Device
<ACTION> Restart to HBoot
<Menu> Power Down
I want to flash a new recovery img (RA 1.7.0) and in the easy fastboot v.1.2.1.4 it always says : < waiting for device >
Then I posted the error in a thread and ezterry told me i cant use fastboot with hboot:1.33.0013d and Radio: 2.22.23.02.

Man, that's dummy. This is not the reason to do postings everywhere just to be upgraded. LOL
BTW, you have/had newer bootloader, but older radio. That could have caused to your problems. You were supposed to update your radio as well.

Question about flashing ???

i want to flash a RADIO-2.22.28.25.img and hboot-1.33.0013d.img by a recovery because i always getting an error on fastboot and i think that's the only way i can do it.
but the warning makes me think twice.

WARNING:
1) flashing a 2.22 radio via recovery if you have a 3.22 or 1.33 radio via recovery *will* brick your phone
2) flashing the 1.33.0013d spl with a 1.22 radio via recovery *will* brick your phone
through recovery i verify that i have Build : Ra-Dream-v1.7.0.
is it ok for me to cotinue flashing or not....do i have a bad radio for this procedure?

If you take a look to your HBOOT-Version, you can see, that you are on the standard spl, i.e. no fastboot support. I suppose you are on the standard recovery, too, i.e. no flashing of updates unless they are signed with the phones secret key.
I suppose, you need to root and to flash at least a custom recovery before you can do anything else. Search for the rooting threads in this forum or consult the Cyanogen-Wiki to get a step by step tutorial how to do it.
yes i have standard spl...plz help me how can i install custom recovery or from wher i found signed update with phones secret key...do you have any link

[Q] I need serious help!!!I cannot boot my HTC one and recovery mode!!!!!!

Hi everyone.
I am a HTC one new user from Hong Kong.I am sorry that my English is not very good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have bought a HTC one (M7) last week.I tried to root it and install a custom rom on it.
everything went smoothly BUT suddenly a problem appears!
I put the rom on the sdcard.I make the phone go into the recovery mode.
I install it.When the installation complete it says "can't mount /cache/....(I do not remember it sorry)"
I still try to reboot my HTC one but failed. It comes back to the recovery mode. There is a line at the bottom "error:......(number 7)"
I went to Google and found that I need to update the recovery. So I did.
When I finish installing the new version recovery,The phone stop working and hold on the bootloader screen.
I try to go into the recovery mode but failed. The CWM recovery sign only appears a second then disappears. It changes back to normal boot screen.
Of coz I can't boot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can anyone help me what should I do?
My phone version is 4.20.708.10 and android version 4.4.2.THANK YOU.

please post the output of fastboot getvar all except imei and serialno
need to know what is your recovery version and what rom and what version
better to copy/pate the entire file name of both recovery you flashed here.
Btw did you made a nandroid backup before rooting and flashing a custom rom? There is no ruu or backup available for your phone version.

I flashed the Android Revolution 53.0 rom.
I flashed some version of CWM recovery on my phone:6.0.2.8,6.0.4.6
I also tried the newest version of TWRP recovery
I did not made a nandroid backup before rooting and flashing a custom rom.Can I get back to normal without ruu or backup available for my phone version?

Hi I have similiar problem but I think with my the there is something wrong with system partition. To return your phone to stock you have to:
fastboot oem lock
and download and run RUU from htc1guru with the phone in fastboot

are you sure you did not installed a M7WLS recovery instead of a M7_UL recovery? try to format /cache and re-flash the rom. Btw you must use TWRP 2.6.3.3 to flash arhf 53 as specified on the rom thread.
And no, you can't go back to stock if there is no RUU or nandroid backup for your version. You will need to flash a custom rom or convert your phone to another stock version (need s-off) i.e: international version or developer edition.

unfortunately, this is not a good option to re-lock bootloader because there is no RUU for that phone version.

bricked htc one m7 - failed venom 8.00 update

i had venom 7.02 on and tried to flash to 8 yesterday
was in a rush so not paying full attention, my own fault
now phone is stuck in cwm recovery v6.0.4.6
can get to bootloader
but cant do anything else - tried to do a recovery, but it still goes to cwm
if i do the install of the venom0ne 8 it seems to work
stock kernal flashed sucessfully - then it gets to 5.00% - writing data and then it says "viperone v8.00 install failed. installer status: 7"

Error status 7 means the recovery doesn't like something in the zip.
Try a different recovery, what does the Rom thread suggest?
