It doesn't work.
I read somewhere on this forum that ADW doesn't support it. Is that true? I didn't believe it because in the settings, we have options for Notification Counters.
Can someone help me? Here's the screenshot. You can see there is a new message but there is no notification.

It's working on mine, ADW Launcher EX, updated yesterday...
I have shorcuts on my dock for email, messaging and phone, and it's working fine, haven't tried it with shorcuts on the desktop, maybe that's an issue?
Hmm don't know. Although I got a solution... Its called ADWNotifier. Its a free app that allows the ADW Launcher to use that feature.
However, after trying it out, I realized that those bubbles don't look as good with this current setting of mine. I like the clean look.
Mods can close the thread. Thanks.

Oops, forgot to mention I'm using that too
Notifications do work on desktop shortcuts too.

hi guys,
i would like to ask if anyone knows the way to change the twGTGLauncher icon for the 'apps'. i'm able to change any icons, only the 'apps ' icon couldn't .
please guide,
regards
download an app called 'desktop visualizer' its free in the market. then look in the apps and themes section for an icon pack... there are loads to choose from depending on your theme. then when you have that you can customise your icons to your liking. or even make your own if you know how to.
bro, still unable to change the 'apps' particular icon.
oh i see what you mean, the actual app drawer button...... im had the same issue. i dont think its possible on the TWLauncher. i can modify it on the launcher pro thats a good launcher IMO
it is possible see this picture...
you need to get the de-odexed twlauncher from another thread here and be rooted and replace the .png using 7zip and replace file in /system/app

Oh wicked.... that looks well cool do you think it will work with Launcher Pro ??
I was wondering if there was a launcher out there that does the same thing that TWL does where you can bring up your apps, then just press one of the overhead dots to quickly go to that particular page (column) of apps? I was told that LP doesn't have the functionality, & I played with ADW today for a bit, but couldn't find a setting...
Bottom line: me no likey da scroll-y.
If you install SGS Tools there are different variations of Touchwiz. Just go to upgrade stock apps and then upgrade tw launcher.
Yeah, I've already got the updated version installed; was just wondering if there was another launcher out there w/the same functionality. le sigh.
EDIT: Do you want that feature in the app drawer?
If by "app drawer," you mean the screens/columns that you see when you hit the button to bring you to all of your apps, then yes. I'm referring to the dots @ the top of this image:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
But you aren't the first person to suggest Zeam. Maybe I'll see if that's got what I'm looking for today...
*Edit - tried Zeam, & unless I missed it, it doesn't have it, either.
I am currently using ADWLauncher with the main dock bar off(extended desktop) and using the Hidden Dockbar. I was wondering if an app exists that lets you create custom notifications for your dock bar. I searched all through ADW but did not see an option for it.
I would love to be able to have a custom notification font size/type.
Thanks in advance.
(ex: If I have two SMS messages a number 2 will show in the column/row corner above text messages.)

There's an app in the market ADWNotifier. I've been using it for a while and it works great. I think you have to have EX version of Launcher, but I believe the Notifier is free.
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.adw.launcher.notifications&feature=search_result
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried that app out and it does work great. Only thing is they use the bubble and only bubble. Are there any other apps that are more customizable?
If not ill stick with ADW Notifier.
Hi!
If I remember correctly, there only is the bubble, but you can customize it's color and size.
hmm, I know I have seen people them in custom themes or whatnot. I guess the next question is how do i replace it manually?

I want a simple lockscreen without having to install a theme, as I don't want changes to my wallpaper or notification bar. What I have in mind is something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I don't need any further customisations, so I wonder if the only way I can get it is to purchase an a lockscreen app? I have some paid apps, but I believe I'll really under-utilise the lockscreen ones, so if there are some free and legitimate files that I can use, that will be great! TIA.
Does anybody know?
You can always use metamorph if you don't want to flash a full theme.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Thanks for the tip. I checked up Metamorph and it's really beyond me. So I got the widgetlocker app.
But I'll bookmark the really cool Metamorph thread and refer to it if I ever become my tech savvy!
I use widget locker, you have to pay, but it's a brilliant app
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
+1 for WidgetLocker
Now that I've got widgetlocker, I think it totally rocks! Especially when used with the themes created by people from XDA!
I was a little put-pff by the screencaptures I saw on appbrain, which aren't exactly nice.
Hello,
I've been looking for an app that puts a white background in the menu, like a Nexus. But without rooting or putting nova launcher.
Like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thanks, any info would be aprecciate it.
You could get a Nexus phone
Google Now Launcher
It' so much easer to get this.
Instead of buying a Nexus Phone, just install the free "Goolge Now Launcher" from Google.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.launcher&hl=de
If it's not available for you look here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-now-launcher/
Samsung Themes (Icons) aren't working then but imho it's better than stock Samsung.

Is it possible to do this without any launcher? Because with this launcher is not possible to unisstall apps from the menu app.
I just want the white screen.
stock touchwiz launcher doesn't have this option. why you don't want to install nova launcher? it has uninstall from app drawer (that you called menu) and this white card background
