When I am in the call sometimes i cant hear other side,my front speaker doesnt work I can only hear it when turn on speakerphone,If I reboot device my problem is gonne but only for a while... After some time same problem is back. Does anyone have some suggestion? I am at serendipity ROM with voodoo kernel...
i would say the rom and kernel is down to this problem.
check you are running the latest version of both, and if you are ask in the thread to see if anyone else has this issue.
a reset may work, but chances are the problem will come back.
a lot of sound related issues come from the kernel. so its always worth checking for updates
Thanks for suggestion,i will try to update or change kernel. I was on Darky's rom with voodoo kernel before and I had same problem so maybe you are right...

After installing the CM 4.2.5 people I'm calling are complaining abaut bad sound under the call.
Is this an known issue with an quick fiks ore shud I install again?
I've been on CM 4.2.5 since the day it came out and had no problems, same as with newest CM 4.2.6. Re-flash and see what happens. If you still have problems - re-flash your radio. If you still have problems - then it's a hardware issue

Ok i have done some searching on this forum looking for my answer but not much luck. I have the captivate. i realy like the phone and its display. i had it rooted with atts stock rom for a while. but since att was draging there feet with the 2.2 update i have flashed a few new roms. all of wich when im in the car listening to tunes if i got a call the music would stop and i could hear the call through car speakers stoped working. I have tried diff roms and no luck to fix. so is this something to do with the 2.2 update. I was reading another post and if i read right it looks as if it is. I am currently running pheonix 4.5 wich has been my fav rom so far. So to get my calls to go through car speakers again what do i need to do? I know there is apps and so forth to make the phone go to speaker, but 9 times out of 10 i cant hear speaker phone in car.
Also i have the exchange pin. whats a good way to nuke that?
There are kernels or view that allow balks through head set. This should fix your problem. What rom are you on, what kernel
im using pheonix 4.5 kernal 2.6.32.9
Phoenix does not show actual kernel but you are on an old version of hard hardcores kernel

Im having the weirdest problem and i am going insane.
In Gingerbread roms,stock or custom (darky rc3,rc4,CriskeloRom) when i try to make a call or when i receive a call,the screen turns immediately black and never ever wakes up.
No button works,nore do they lit,nothing...
I have to pull out the battery and restart.
Some times when i plug the cable in kies mode,its ok,it comes back the screen but thats seldom.
I tried to keep the screen on,nothing...
This happens only in gingerbread,if i return to froyo,everything is ok.
PLEASE HELP ME
Wait for official Gingerbread .

You could try installing the official (NEE) Gingerbread.
Or flash back to 2.2 and forward from there.

Sucks to hear Hope it will be ok when the official Gingerbread gets released for your country. Allthough that probably wont work either.
ps. how do you update from Froyo to Gingerbread? Odin? Maybe try updating from Froyo with KIES using the registry spoofing tool and then installing NEE.

No such issues for me, had stock JVK now on stock JVB. Remove any lag fixes and do a factory reset + Format SD card and try.
i have done everything!!! everything.im no noob in flashing bussiness.
i have tried almost all roms in xda in froyo,i like flashing but that is one of its kind...
i dont know...i will wait for a fix(?).
maybe an update version on ginger?
i repeat,in froyo or even eclair,everything works perftectly.

I have the same problem, I give it up ! now I flash back to froyo.
Try reflashing and not installing any apps at all see if that problem exist?

i am now again in foroyo,darky v9.5 extreme.everything smooth and perfect...
dunno...maybe is greece network? nahhh...
i dont know...
i will wait till ginger gets mature and try in a month or something a newer custom rom.

I have this problem with Wifi not going to sleep (yes it's set in options to sleep while screen goes off).
I had it on stock JVP (darkcore) and now i got this on Criskelo v70 (darkcore also).
please help me cause it's really annoying

Well i dont really think it's kernel related since no one else seem to have this problem on dark core.
I tried changing a kernel and just as i thought it didnt help, then i wiped the device and still the same thing...
i have no idea what could'v cause it and it seems im the only one with this problem
i think i can try going back to older GB release and than flash jvp again, but i will wait some time for an answer first
edit: i forgot about one important thing: when the phone is connected to the charger Wifi goes to sleep normaly, weird..

Hey all,
I just decided to upgrade to ICS, and it looked like the F1 GalaxyNexus port for Capis was a good option. Flashing went great, but first the sdcard was mounted on the wrong place and I had no sound at all.
So I changed the kernel from Glitch to Semaphore, and the sdcard problem was fixed, but I still have no sound. Not from the speaker or headphones, and it doesn't matter whether it's a system sound or something else.
I've reflashed twice and still have the problem. Anyone have any ideas what I can try next? Thanks
