On the bright side, the mirror being down gives time to run titanium backup before flashing.

I was going to ask the same thing, I read the log at: http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cyanogenmod-7-0-3-released but all it said is "This update contains a bug fix for our update notification system, as well as an important security fix. "
The forum for Nook Color @ Cyanogenmod doesn't mention this latest update yet, 7.0.2 info is still pinned.

the 7.0.3 download start working now.

Nightly 64 was listed as 2.3.4 and this is 2.3.3? User thread for CM7 seemed to comment that 64 had the sleep repaired? Is that correct? Because of the 2.3.3 numbering, are there features that 64 had that 7.0.3 stable is missing?
What do we use to overclock to 1.3? The original 4/24 or one modified for different ext type? Will Dal's new 2.6.32 kernel that is supposed to come out shortly, be the best one to use with 7.0.3 stable?

GAAAak!
Did the 7.0.3 stable and getting all kinds of FC can I reflash back to 7.0.2 stable?
Nevermind everything seems to be fine after reboot.

do NOT up/downgrade from a STABLE version to a NIGHTLY
it will cause problems
(unless you first format the STABLE one)

Weird. 7.0.3 is Android 2.3.3.

Let me ask a dumb question - you don't need SetCPU for overclocking anymore correct? You just set it in the Cyanogenmod/Performance settings (with the OC kernel of course) right? Thats what I did and it seems to be working. Also, where do I get this 1.3ghz kernel? Just got 7.0.3 on, seems to be good....

you can find the overclocked kernels here:

Any updates for those that have use this for more than a day as far as sleep battery drain is concerned.

this version does NOT fix the sleep issue dal said on twitter that the 2.6.32 build will come out today!

Does USB work in 7.0.3? In N63 and N64 USB would not connect to PC.

Is that kernel going to be incorporated into CM7 or is this something that one can only get by using the OC kernel? In other words those that don't really want to overclock but would like better battery life etc, can they just stick to downloading the latest CM7 builds or they have to incorporate dal's kernel?

CM7 Nightly Build 39?

Has anyone noticed that there is a new nightly CM7 build available - 39? Its dated today, but I haven't seen anyone talking about it. Has anyone flashed it yet, and if so, what has been changed since stable build was issued?

Thanks, but I went there, and nothing came up, just a blank black screen.
I was really just trying to see if anyone had actually tried it yet. I didn't see anything in the developers thread either.
You'll want to use something other than IE to view the changelog site (and the internet in general). Chrome works fine.
CM7 has a pretty wide audience so more often than not the dailies are not going to do much for the NookColor specifically. Most the time if there's a NC specific feature bump there will be a bunch of new threads pretty quickly.

yeah same here, if you upgrade from stable you might need to reinstall gapps, i know i did.
now you can do screenshots
if you install without doing any wipes then it retains your gapps and settings

hi!
is there a recommended IR kernel version to use with CM 7.0.3 release? or should i always use the latest kernel with it? or should i switch to CM nightlies to use IR? what would be the best practice?

your answer seems to imply that there is no available information anywhere regarding preferred kernels and CM versions. is that what you mean? because saying i don't know is different than saying the answer you seek is not known. and replying i don't know to a thread seems pointless, so i guess you mean the latter.
It means put your big boy pants on and flash away, that's what its all about.

i'm giving this phone to a friend that's not tech oriented, so i guess i'd better not use IR kernel at all without having this info.

What next after CM7 ?

I am on CM7 build #72, I know it's too old. Now I want to update it. So to which one I should go ? Latest CM7 ? Or CM 7.2 ?
I need most stable one.
Thank you
Depends on how you define "stable".
Stable by any mean should be the CM7.1.
Anything else is "pretty stable" based on my definition.

Just install mirage like you first installed CM7 if you need instructions check out the guide in my sig, just use the mirage zip instead of the one provided in the guide. Overclock kernel is already included in CM7.1 and 7.2 so you are good to go there.

Earlier I used to install by flashing the memory card, boot it & install.
Since you have mentioned kernel's are not needed, I just downloaded :

Yup. Delete dalvik cache, load the ROM and reboot. You might want to run the V6 script if you haven't yet.
Have no idea about V6 script, will search & find more about it. Thank you for replying mate
@koopakid08, jgaf, MISRy - Guys thank you very much ! updated to Mirage
however I don't see any new differences from earlier build
Assuming you are on the 03042012 ROM, the most obvious difference is the softkeys, home, menu, back, are ICS style now. Have you cranked up your clock? Lowered your voltage? Taken advantage of any of the benefits you now have?

[ROM] ***Cyanogenmod 7.2 Official®*** [DOWNLOAD & DISCUSSION] {Last Update-01/02/13}
This is the Download and Discussion thread for Official CM 7 and I would be maintaining it and keep up to date time to time.
So basically all official CM 7 stuff should be discussed here rather than making specific threads in general forum which I have seen been increased lately. People just make useless threads rather than doing a little search which just add as just to our forum. So please for all official CM 7 updates, bugs etc. use this thread. Just go through this post once and make all basic doubts clear...
You all can find the official builds here including stable, nightly and release candidate ( RC ) here :-

You all guys can put a bug report here. They would be fixed in upcoming CM versions.

I've come up to an conclusion but I've not yet tested because i'd like to see my battery performance, logically we may use squad's prior kernels for tj_style's rom. And about the camera orientation, i managed to make it worked, simply pull the camera.apk in mabitek's or squad's rom and replaced it with this rom.

I think like this before. "Why do they shout all this bull if there are known solutions or just live with it" But I asked my self. "Why did I flashed to Custom ROMs" Answer was "Convenience". We jumped from ROM to ROM searching for something that can give the convenience that we are looking for, right? Sure I can fix something minor like this kind of Bugs, I can play without OC but what if you have the convenience to have both of those things that your looking for? I got nothing against the Official ROM, its good and is better but if I can have all I need on my past ROM it would be better.

Looking for a stable rom for my 70 year old Father

Hello I am looking for a Rom that will not freeze up. A stable and fast Rom and Kernel combo. My father is 70 and when it freezes up on him you can imagine the distress and 20 phone calls i receive from him. Please can someone advice on the most stable rom there is on xda for the i9000. I am more concerned about stability than speed. Altho a bit of both would be nice. Even if I could have one with the latest firmware and still be stable would be a bonus. But i do understand the limits with the hardware and porting issues.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Edit: This post needs moving to Q&A sorry to the forum admins.

semaphore kernel one of the best kernel for sgs, and im using it as u can see in my sign. but because its for your father i prefer to stay with stock, or you can use semaphore its v.stable but don't use live oc because its phone independent and may cause soft reboot
I installed it and wow its fast. Also how nice is CM10. I slapped gapps on top to cos he uses gmail play etc. I can't believe I have never bothered with AOSP Roms before. It's going on my i9300 tonight. Stunning! Thanks again for your help.
