Hi,
So i just got a new nexus one, unlocked and it had Android version 2.3.3, it has cyanogen Mod 7.0 installed and the kernel Version is 2.6.37cyanogenmod... and the baseband version is 32.41.00.32U....
I was wondering if it is possible to update to the 2.3.4? If possible than how?
Thanks inadvace
yes, install the newest nightly
Nightly 61 and any nightly after that is 2.3.4
Go here and download the ROM you want http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=passion
Go here for latest GAPPS file (20110507) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13551248&postcount=1972
1-Save files to your SD card
2-boot into recovery
3-chose "flash zip from sd card"
4-navigate to where you have the file save and chose the file to flash
5-repeat step 3 if you want to flash the latest GAPPS file
6- reboot
Also what is the # after 32.41.00.32U_ for your baseband? The number indicate your radio version

First if you want make a back up with for ex. Titanium backup or something else.
1. if you dont have xrecovery or CWM recovery search and find them and install one of them. see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=974527 or

2. download the stock kernel rom and put it on sd card.
3. Reboot to xRecovery (click back button on ericsson logo)/ ClockWorkMod(touch the screen instead of click)
4. Factory Reset (Full wipe) ------> For new users who want to this rom.
5. Install custom zip
6. Choose zip from sdcard
7. Find your zip file, and flash it.
(* If you have any bugs, try full-wipe.) For first time installing CyBorg users, DO FULL WIPE, or you will stuck at the se white logo!!

which of the files for download there is the rom? and how do I install the other files?
in the page you gave go to:
{
Downloaded:
LX v.0.11c(Alfs) LX v.0.11(Stock)
LXv0.10-Alfs LXv0.10-Stock
LX V11 GOOGLE APPS LX V11(ALFS)LX V11(STOCK)
LX XG!N V8(Stock)
LX V10(alfs)LX V10 (Stock)
}
LX v.0.11(Stock) THIS is the ROM for stock kernel just download it
the attached files (SensorPatch.zip ...) you can download them IF you want to make it better
by same procedure as to install, "put them on sd card-go to recovery - install custom zip-Find your zip file, and flash it-reboot" but not make Factory Reset (Full wipe) its unnecessary.
By the way on instructions i gave, from the step 4 till 8 are in the recovery. to go there follow the step 3 "Reboot and go to xRecovery by (click back button on ericsson logo) or on ClockWorkMod(touch the screen when you see ericsson logo)" you must have one of them if you already have a custom rom installed "GingerCruzt"
I have a rooted 2.2 Captivate with Clockwork mod version 2.5.1.2 installed. Rom manger acts as though everything is working but when I go to reboot into CWM recovery I get the stock 3e. I go to reinstall packages. I end up with "E:failed to verify whole-file signature" "E:signature varification failed" My intentions were to follow the instructions I found on Android Authority.
they are:
1. Copy the Devil RC3 kernel and the CyanogenMod 10 V2 ROM files to your Captivate’s internal SD Card.
2. Turn off your Captivate.
3. Boot into Recovery Mode. You can do this by pressing and holding down the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power buttons. When the screen turns on, let go of all three buttons.
*I'm stuck at this point because it won't load CWM
4. In recovery, use the Volume keys to navigate and the Power button to select.
5. Make a NANDroid Backup of your current ROM. Select Backup and Restore and select Backup.
6. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Confirm the action on the next page.
7. Select Install ZIP from SD Card.
8. Select Choose ZIP from SD Card and locate the Devil RC3 kernel.
9. After the Devil RC3 kernel has finished flashing, choose Install ZIP from SD Card again.
10. Select Choose ZIP from SD Card and locate the CyanogenMod 10 V2 ROM file.
11. After the CyanogenMod 10 V2 ROM file has finished flashing, select Go Back.
12. Select Advanced > Fix Permissions.
Return to main recovery menu and select Reboot System Now.
Thanks in advance.

Have a look at this link. Hopefully it will help you get to where you want to be. Also remember over-reading about what you are wanting to do is better than trying to find a solution to something because you missed a step.

Thank you.
I have a question. Do I need to flash the Devil RC3 kernel or should I just install the CyanogenMod 10 V2 rom from zip? Or should I flash the speedmod kernel on odin, then from CWM install the Devil RC3 kerenel, Then install CyanogenMod 10 V2. I just wondered if the two kerenels would conflict or if I would even need Devil RC3?

First of all you're getting a little ahead of yourself in trying to get to CM10 from where you are. Being on 2.2 you will need to get to a gingerbread ROM first as the bootloaders are different and will cause issues trying to go to CM10 if you don't go to gingerbread first.
The following link will take you to some one-click utilities that will update you to gingerbread along with the needed bootloaders. Also I suggest picking one from the list that says it has a CWM kernel injected so that you can save a step after the flash and have a CWM recovery kernel already installed.
Once you've used the one-click you shouldn't need to flash either of the kernels you've mentioned you should technically be able to just flash the CM10 and be good. Although when it comes to flashing the CM10 I suggest you go to the creaters thread or site and follow their exact directions for installing!

Hi all,
I am new to flashing and ROM installing but I did learn few things so far, I only had my phone rooted before flashing no more
I download cm-9.1.0-p1.zip from get.cm / device=p1
Placed it on the sd card, rebooted in recovery mood, installed from zip file typically as follows
Download the prebuilt release of CyanogenMod you wish to install
Place the CyanogenMod rom .zip file on the root of the SD card
Boot to recovery mode on the Galaxy Tab (GSM)
Select the option to wipe data/factory reset.
Select Install zip from sdcard.
Select Choose zip from sdcard
Select the CyanogenMod file you placed on the sdcard
Once the installation has finished, rebooted system

then added GApps gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip from goo.im / gapps to have google apps on my Tab
The problem now that My tab won't connect to Mobile Network, saying "Error searching for networks" and showing attached new screenshot
while it was showing this baseband on original old rom as attached
what can I do to fix this ?
and if there is a better ICS/JellyBean ROM that fits into the P1000 without missing features, plz guide me to it
I tried Modem flashing too
note that I already tried different modems flashing, fist got the one from cyanogenmod wiki matching my baseband :
JXJP4 ,md5: 8bbc850a0c1bc8b5db68bff3838ebabf
and then another two from different forums, but none of them did work
flashed all of them in recovery mode, still network not showing
Get a JPZ/JP4 modem zip.
Unzip it.
Copy the modem.bin to /radio/modem.bin
There is a modem thread in development, in the stickies section.

Hi, i have a problem upgrading from CM 11-20140216-UNOFFICIAL-dev_connection_team-ariesve (4.4.2 I9001XXKF8)
to CM11 (4.4.4) on my Samsung Galaxy S plus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579431
The problem is, that my existing CWM 6.0.3.5 refuses to update
to the required 6.0.4.9. I created a copy of these files on my phones internal
memory listed in the thread for latest CWM and TWRP. Checksums are ok.
Then i booted into CWM recovery -> install zip -> choose zip from sdcard -> and so on
But it quits installation with this error message:
Code:
Can't open /sdcard/blablabla.zip (bad)
The path is existing and so are the files. The displayed path is ok.
Does anyone know what to do? The last updates just went fine,
except my previous custom recovery was replaced by CWM when upgrading from CM9 to 10.
I think it was TWRP before, but i am not really sure. When it is possible i would like to replace CWM with TWRP again.

I had the same problem a couple of times before. I found out that zip file was corrupt, hence the Can't open .zip (bad) error.
