[Q] Lg o2x or t mobile g2x unlock?

Excuse me if this info is posted else where but i have looked an struck out so far. Can anyone inform me as to a company that can an has unlocked a Tmobile g2x in particular since this is the phone i will be buying? Or the o2x ? For my traveling work i need my phone unlocked. An if its neccessary I can purchase one outright if T mobile will definatly give me a unlock code right after purchase. Thank you!

also want to know if g2x can be unlocked if bought right now? can it be unlocked buying an unlock code from some site or something?

Same question. I bought an unlocked p990 and it's currently charging. Will it work perfectly fine on T-mobile or is there something special I need to do to it?

A quick google search shows that nobody is selling the g2x unlocked as of today. Of course that will change sooner rather than later. If you buy from tmobile and pay for the g2x in full, you can request a lock code from tmobile, who will give you the unlock code in 30-90 days i believe.

If it is unlocked, you should be able to pop in a tmobile sim card and use it on tmobile's 3.5g network. You shouldn't have to do anything special.

I was told if you pay in full you will get the unlock code instantly....

Instantly? I hope that it is true. That would be awesome I've never heard of any American cellphone company providing instant unlock codes, for people who pay full price upfront. There is almost always some kind of waiting period, usually taking several weeks.

I was told you had to wait because tmobile have to see you have kept your account in good order, as your paying upfront and have no account they should do it straight away....
Im getting mine sent from the states, so i hope they do it there and then, if not i may just have to purchase the LG 2X here

Don't think the P990 supports T-Mobile US's 3G

can you not buy an unlocked version of the phone - must be places that are doing them sim-free

Don't think the O2X is locked at all, is it? My Vodafone.UK one isn't.

Does anyone know if the Optimus 2x can be unlock. Network Tele2 Croatia..Thnx..

I found a rather low priced offer for "worldwide unlock of 2X" over at the famous online market place
Price is about 5.50 Euros...
BUT I had a serious hardware issue , so I had to return the phone before I could enter the unlock code which was provided from the seller only a few hours after payment.
Maybe I will try again in a few days after successfully testing the replaced 2X

Its not even locked.
Basically u can say this phone comes with unlocked bootloader.

locked bootloader != SIM / operator lock

[Q] Droid 3 hardlocked?

Hi, im in the uk and i just received my brand new droid 3 global phone today and its great! Apart from the fact it is locked to verizon usa ..
But to my aid i was given 2 unlock codes and i tried them both but they didnt work, so i tried them a couple of times and now my phone says that i have to contact the service provider (which is verizon). So i contacted verizon and they said that i had to be in the us and had to have been a customer for 6months for them to unlock it, so they wern't much help.
So i went to my network here on the uk, and they pointed me here.
I want to use my giffgaff sim (uk network) on my phone so was wondering that is there any way I can unlock this phone? Assuming it is hardlocked, is it possible for me to send it to a phone shop or is it too new for them to unlock it as of yet? Is there any alternative to unlocking it using the two codes i have got?

I'm in the UK too, but had my phone unlocked in the US prior to shipping - at least I can confirm that an unlocked droid 3 will work in the UK (on vodafone in my case).

I got them codes from the man who sold me the phone. I thaught that they may be dodgy code so purchased an unlock code from ebay, and told the seller that if it was them two codes that i had, then to give me a refund coz they didn't work. He gave me a refund coz he got the same codes.

Ive checked you link and they talk about unlock codes,
I don't think I have anymore tries left with using an unlock code.
Do you think i can unlock the phone with a cable by sending it to a shop in the uk?

Well, someone entered the wrong code 3x on a samsung star and it was "sim freeze" or "phone freeze" I think it's called.. or frozen. It says to contact your provider

Yeah, i think i might have frozen my phone by entering the wrong code. What do you think i should do? Send it to a phone shop to be unlocked? Is it even possible to unlock with cables and an unlocking kit?

lol, don't waste your time.....there's no coeds to be had for this, its predominantly locked to O2 or Vodafone, so cannot be Sim Unlocked. I've tried many times since this phone was released.

Nope. You can't trust people now a days, don't risk it and waste your time.

i wouldn't even think about unlocking it. These days most people don't need to unlock them, last person i spoke to about unlocking my salsa didn't even know what it was let alone have software for them....
Internet unlocks will rip you off. I did it once on an old Nokia 5000, got the code...same as the free sites, didn't work. Couldn't get a refund either.....my advice is, want the phone sim unlocked, buy a phone on the network your on!

Problem is the fone is from a relative from abroad. Its lock to vodafone. The only carrier here in the philippines are globe, sun and smart. Thats why i need to unlock the fone. Its was recently given to me.

you got no hope....sorry

i juz had my salsa sim unlocked. all i have to do is go to the official site of vodafone. enter my imei and i got my code. im using it now with our network.

Not all unlocking website are fake and not trustworthy. There are lots there who provide excellent service.
Check this one out - unlockmydevice co uk website...
Simply submit the IMEI and your will get the unlock code in your email.

At&t lg v40

hello folks,
this is the only place i can possible get help,
recently i get service with at&t to test the new 5G service, where i live my T mobile service is a crap,
the problem is a at&t phones are hard to unlocked i guess, I pay 3 times on different places and nothing I only have 60 dollars in the trash, they cant unlock my LG v40, I haven't get any refund yet not sure if i get scammed,
I call AT&T and i need to wait 60 days, to get this done with them,
if any one knows a place where I can unlock a LG V40 i really appreciate, this is my first LG device and i'm about to go back to Samsung,

Try to Unlock by code on ebay, but first you have to make sure that your phone is ready to get unlocked, there are many LG V40 ATT that cant be unlock it by network code.
Try this, put a sim card from another carrier on the phone, will ask for network unlock code, enter a ramdom code, you have 10 attempts, if the phone show 2/10 after that buy the unlock code and enter the right code, if the phone get stuck in 1/10 forget about it, nobody could unlock your phone at this time.

i did that and is 2/10 and also try different people on ebay as well and nothing so far,
unlock river imei124 they just hold my money.
