Further googling turned up the following solution:

It worked for the OP there, so there's hope it will work for you too, though the relevant tab was not a latin version.
Thanks
It worked
thank you so much, i just flashed the dbdata file then the P1000NUBJM2
now we know it works with the latin version too, you rock
Glad to have been of service. Though thank Ayman07 on thegalaxytabforum. He was the one who came up with the idea.
Now have fun with your resuscitated tab.
Thx so much to all of you that is serving here in XDA. I took about 15 hours working on get my GT back to life and here i found my answers.

Is it update able to Gingerbread 2.3?
Well, mines to is latin version..(currently)

Once..i was in foryo...2.2 then tried to update it with Euro version and it stopped working (cause i didnt know much about updating these things normally)...then after researching this forum...i solve it...and got it back...(feels so good, i was really upset..about that black screen..sigh)....now..the thing is before Flashing mines Model no was

And after successful flashing it my model number changed..which i saw in Settings> about device..
Now my inquires is Why it changed ..and I actually wanted to update it to Ginger bread 2.3...but it got back to older one Froyo 2.2..?

Dear Friend: I see your an expert and I appreciate your help. I recently connected by Samsung P1000N to kies and it suggested a firmware update to Gingerbread (I had Froyo 2.2). It started freezing unexpectedly. I did a hard reset and got an error:
E: part (1) Boot Record Checksum Error
E: part (1) Checksum Error
Internal MMC checksum verify failed
I tried re-installing Gingerbread via Odin, and just recently applied your suggestion. At the reboot, the error appeared again, while the Tab seems a lot better, but still re-boots.
What can I do?
Regards
It happened to me also. I had to flash Froyo again, then the dbdata mentioned above and, finally, then JP6 Gingerbread. Now it's ok

GT-P1000N stuck Please help
Hi all,
I own a galaxy tab p1000N model and have very basic knowledge about rom flashing. One month back it started rebooting on "SAMSUNG" Screen.
I tried to hard reset it and it kept on saying some "can't mount ....." sort of error.
It was running Gingerbread 2.3.3 updated via Samsung Kies.
After trying to flash it following some steps on Xda forums using Odin, the screen went blank.
Only odin was able to detect it in download mode. Nothing apears on screen
I tried to flash it again with the files provided above .. No Help...
Now only I can see an Image with a PHONE AND A SYSTEM showing some connection and a stutas bar.
Now its stuck on this screen even after restarting.
Somebody please help.
Thanks,
Sandeep Mishra

Hi! Here is the story of my nightmare... I have a Bell i9000m with Android 2.1. I have use GST tweaker tools to root it. I also have do a backup with titanium backup (but I think it useless at this step) After this I have try to change the battery icon with the same utility. When I have rebooted the phone, it stop at the "S" logo for a minute and after the screen go black and the button are glowing and the phone buzz. After this nothing happen. When I go in recovery mode (3e) I obtain an error:

I have try with odin3 1.7 to flash the phone but I'm a little bit confused with all possibility...
One stupid thing I have to say, I don't know my original firmware version... ;-(
I have see many good custom kernel... it is possible to fix this and by the way to upgrade to froyo?
It is possible to fix my problem doc?
Thanks a lot for your help!
P.S. Sorry for my bad english, (i'm from Quebec,Canada)
Easiest fix :
Go in recovery and wipe.
Then restart and see if that fixed your problem.
Alternate (Guaranteed solution) :
Go here
Click "Direct Download". If you don't see it try to refresh the page.
Fire up odin.
Extract the zip u downloaded
For pda in odin select the .tar you extracted
Put your phone in download mode.
Flash w/o repartition or nething.
That should work.
Hi! I have try the 2 solutions you mention. But always same problem... I have to mention I have installed speedmod-kernel-k12p-500hz it is correct or I have to replace it?
Ok then do this :
Get these two
Flash odin with repartition and select the pda, modem, csc
Once done
Go back to odin. Flash just pda with no repartition or nething of the jl2 (previous thing u downloaded in my first post).
Sorry for this question but what do you mean by nething? (sorry english is not my first language!)
So leave everything the way it is.
Dont check mark anything extra.
YEAH! You solved my problem!!! You rock man!
Before I do any other stupid thing any advice?
I have visit some european site about android. They offer some firmware.. it is better to keep the "bell" specific firmware?,etc...
I don't know if I already say this ... Thanks you!
Try them.
Now u know
exactly how to restore if nething ever happens

Hello, i've been having the same problem with my GT-i9003, and even after flashing with odin i still have the same problem. Well, it's not exactly the same, cause my phone will keep on a starting bucle if i try to start it without my EXTERNAL sd card (the one i bought), and if i start it with the external card in, it starts, but i can't use anything that uses the sd card (music, camera, 3g), so yes i can call and message and use wifi, but that's not how it's ment to be. Basically it's like i had no external or internal cards.
So everythime i try to flash without the external sd card, i get the mounting error, and if i flash with the external card, it seems ok , but i still can't use any of the things mentioned above.
I'm a bit lost, and i believe it's because i'm missing something (i'm new to this). i don't want to send it to samsung (yet)
i've been using the firmware that came with the phone, didn't try anything new.
to sum up: any attempts to flash with/without the external card are irrelevant, the problem persists.
Any thoughts/ideas/solutions?
thanks in advance.
Hello, I'm Luis Henrique. I'm brazilian, so I bought the national version of Galaxy S, the GT I9000B. Yesterday (03/06/2011) I was testing some new Roms for my phone. I was using the Odin3 v1.7. I was going to put a 2.2 original Rom, but I accidentally left the box called "re-partition" checked and pressed start. All other boxes was correct. In the middle of the process i saw it, but I didn't stopped it because I got afraid that something worst could happen. I guess that option half-bricked my phone. I already wiped all data, wiped cache partition and tried to format the internal sd-card. I tried a thousand different ways of fixing it, but it all was useless. I'm not that smart with all this rom, flash, kernell, version stuff. But if you guys help me, I'm sure will try my best to fix the phone, because it's such a great phone...
I'm sorry for this new thread, but all the others didn't helped me at all.
Thanks in advance.

So, Danni_ind, I won't have problem since my phone is a GT-I9000B? I don't know if this Rom was made for him...
I9000B !...really sorry i dont know, but it works on my international model
XX = Europe (I am from india)
danni_ind: hey, I'm having the same problem and your solution didn't seem to work either. I tried both ways using the 512 pit file with odin 1.3 and the also the package you threw into the zip, 803 pit with odin 1.0.
had all 3 files with repartition clicked and still didn't work...
i guess there may be some compatibility issues with the phone if you use the european version of firmware , but the main problem will be solved(partition)... then after that you can use the 1 tar file to change it to I9000B version which you have ? give it a try....
are you sure you selected the right PDA MODEM AND CSC files in the right dialoug boxes ? because once i didn't select the files properly and it was showing the same...check it

Dear Friends,
Hope you are all fine. This is the 1st post of mine and hope to get the solution from here. My Galaxy Tab GT - P 1000 often freezes. Previously the O.S was Froyo 2.2 and as the problem started from here one of the friend suggested to upgrade the O.S to 2.3.3 Gingerbread to overcome the situation which I did. But nothing changed at all. The problem still remains. I just bought it only 5 month's back so I really badly need this to run once again smoothly like before. Basically whenever I tried to run something very resourceful it hang's. For an example if I play any games for only a minute or two it hangs and nothing happens. But also many times if only browse the options it hangs and to get all things again I have to reboot my Tab every time. Today I just pressed the button VOL UP + The Power Button (As per the video suggestion from YOUTUBE) and a message showed up and I think the problem just identified there. The attached file contains the the picture of the message which showed up. I really don't know for this the problem is really occurring or not and if for this then how to solve it. Please also let me know the other possible solution to get rid from this problem of mine Galaxy Tab. I will be ever grateful to you. Despite the image already attached the exact one also stated below:

Yup, I hope the same. I personally believe through XDA we will definitely get our solutions.
Hi, i'm not a professional but it seems the bootloader is corrupted, maybe in a bad update.
In the other line say the internal MMC can't be verified the MMC is the internal SD card.
First flash the stock rom with Odin 1.70 with the "update bootloader"option checked and repartition.
ive had mine only a few weeks and its been getting the same way.i rooted it with some kernal and thats it.still stock rom.how can we fix it?

1. Just do a 'wipe data/factory reset' and reboot the device when done.
2. Let the device boot all the way then turn it off.
3. Re-enter Download Mode and re-flash only the CSC file without pit and without re-partition...
Hi guys!
Thank you for the replies and taking the time to help...my biggest problem is getting the computer to recognise the phone, I think when I flashed whatever it was before I've somehow "deleted" the O/S on the phone and now no mater what PC I plug it into the phone never gets recognised...and that means I can't use odin
If I can get that bit fixed, then I think I can recover the phone but just don't know how to fix that...odin was working perfectly before so I know it does, just need the PC to find the phone now!
Any thoughts? I've tried re-downloading Kies/drivers etc but to no avail.
But you can enter Download Mode?
That's probably has something to do with the fact that you have a I9000M, which is the Canada Bell version of the I9000. There are some subtle hardware differences between the two. Honestly, **** Samsung and their variants. It's a pain in the *** trying to remember if the difference still matters any more. When the I9000M first came out we encountered a whole load of issues with people frying their memories and having to send it back to Samsung for replacement. I think someone eventually came up with a way to overcome this, but I didn't read much about it.
Anyway, try getting a stock I9000M rom instead and flash that. As for your PC not recognising it, you did reboot between uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung drivers right? Also, kies must NOT be running in the background when you use odin, otherwise odin will not recognise your phone.

Thanks for your reply man, I'm going to try getting stock I9000M rom tonight and have a go with that! But yeah, 3 different PCs/laptops I've tried it on, with variations of with/without Kies...still no joy as yet!
Thanks again for the reply though :good:
Hello, I have searched for a solution to my problem but I haven't found a thread that seems to be the exact problem (and solution for me).
I bought a Galaxy S Hoppin in Korea and I attempted to upgrade the kernel and firmware using Oden 3 v1.85 and the files here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30116009&postcount=2
Now my device starts loading but gets stuck on the AnyCall logo, never actually loads.
A few notes:
- I have owned a North American SGS i9000 so I have an understanding of how to flash properly
- I am able to boot into download mode
- After updating, I gave the phone about 30 minutes to boot up just in case it was taking long
- I have removed the SIM card and SD card
- I have tried wiping the cache and wiping the system
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
Update: I have installed the ROM again but now my phone is stuck on the Android System Recovery <3e> screen each time it boots. It goes into recovery and does not boot up into the actual operating system.
A bit tough to see but the image shows where my screen gets stuck.
Any help?
Another update:
I managed to install CWM 5.0.2.8 but I still can't boot up my phone. I get the message:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
...and a number of other messages like this. I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.
hi sir.

Just flash again the kernel or full ROM, you are still in download mode.
