Good Photo Apps?

sorry for starting a new thread
but i can't seems to find a good photo managing app on the market
any good recommendation?
the stock one from DHD isn't very good IMHO, can't rotate with twist, can't view file names easily etc..

There is 3D Gallery from the stock Android OS you can use in conjunction with Sense.

tried it, isn't any better to me, think is slightly slower
wonder if there is any like the photo manager on winmo which works great with many customisation...

Use Vignette. You must pay few euros but It Is Worth Of Every Cents! I have used this app earlier on my Motorola Milestone and it is the best photo app ever on Android. It does not support video camera, so if u want take video it will open automatically default camera app..

Video edit app

I was wondering if anyone know how to open all the pictures from my phone in the video app. I went to camp recently and i used my canon dslr to take pictures. For some odd reason, i can only see the pictures when i use the photoviewer app but not in the video editing app. Any suggestions? The picture format that was used is jpg.

There is an app in the android apps and games forum that is called YouTube downloaded it looks like YouTube but downloads the videos for you. Try it out

i don't want downloader
i ask: is there any temporary directory for youtube app ? so when a video played complete we can get it out before closing youtube app

Idk if that is possible like on a computer but if it is it would be in a cache folder

Simple answer, no. You either stream it, or download it. There's no in-between.

save youtube video
create youtube account and make playlist where you can save youtube videos for playback (streaming). You will still need internet connection to play videos though. To save videos for playback without internet connected you will have to download. Only way i know.

where can i download 360 videos beside the ones in the samsung\oculus store?

Any 3d movie will play in 3d in the cinema app but so far the 360 video sites all seem to be of the adult variety

Quite few are available. You may have to use video downloader extension for your browser. You can even find some 3D 360 videos.

You can download the mp4 file but the GVR doesn't seem to see it. Does it need that .pvr file?

You need to move file to oculus/360videos folder

I did. Videos still don't show up.

Use stock video player and try to play that video. If is playable then oculus player will play it too. If not then you need to reconvert it to mp4 with mp3 sound. Easy way to check: use stock file manager, go to oculus -> 360videos and if tumbnail of video in question is visible then video should play, if has basic icon then needs to be reconverted.

Yes, but will it play as a 360 video without the extra file? I do not believe so.

They will play. If you noticed in my screenshot there are some videos without matching pvr file. I believe pvr file is tumbnail for video. Videos without pvr will have blue square as tumbnail in 360 video but they will play once selected.

Thanks. That worked but I'm having the same problem as with all the 360 videos, the focus is terrible. Is that the nature of 360 videos or something else? The focus seems to be really awful compared to still images or even regular video. Perhaps because 3D video captures less information for each view than regular video?

You can find some sharper videos. A lot has to do with compression and file size. They never going to be completly sharp on our screens. Each eye receives information from less than half of phone screen and magnification itself will blur picture. It may change with 8k displays Higher resolution 360 videos may have dimensions around 4k x 2k pixels and quality is better.

Do/did you delete the sample pictures and videos that come pre-installed on the phone?

I deleted the videos and music. I kept the pictures in case I ever want to use them as a wallpaper.

Some users who have deleted the sample videos are reporting glass spontaneously cracking.

What's the purpose of this poll? What does knowing if someone keeps or deletes the sample media from their device help with?
