Wallpaper folder? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone tell me in which folder the original wallpapers are stored?

really? nobody has an answer to this?

I am looking for this a long time...
I don't believe it that it is not possible?

I think the default wallpapers are stored in the Framework-res.apk or TW-Framework-res.apk of your rom.

yeah, the default wallpaper is stored in the Framework-res.apk

there is not a folder.

Is there not possible to add image into the NATIVE "Gallery Wallpaper"?

Where are the default wallpapers stored?

If you go to the photos tab and then "Album" and then "Albums" you have a long list of picture folders to look at, one of them is called "wallpaper" and it has some nice wallpapers that are like variations of the default pictures in the "my pictures" folder (the avatar-1 avatar-2 ones etc). But there's no option to set any of them as the wallpaper. Is there any way to do this? If not, does anyone know where in the phone they're stored?
The wallpapers are stored in \Internal Storage\Content\Wallpapers

Thanks a lot.
How do I make any picture in an album my today wallpaper? There's no option when you're viewing the pics to set it.

Applying VERY specific parts of a theme.

No, I don't mean the app specific themes, I mean deeper than that.
Essentially I have a theme which I used entirely (up until I reflashed MCR and realised I love default Sense style ) but now I want only to apply the lockscreen and the notifications blind.. How would I go about doing this?
Also, what images make up the dock of Sense? Just incase I decided to mess with colours (folders on the phone and name please).
Thanks.
The dock of sense is in the folder res/drawable-port in Rosie.apk

Those are the default Home, not Sense..
EDIT: they were in drawable-port-480x320
If I want to apply them with Metamorph do I need to include every image in the drawable-port-480x320 folder or just the edited ones?
Also, anyone able to answer my other Q's?
Just the edited ones.
Anyone able to drop the names of the Lockscreen pull bar and the Notifications blind images?

I believe you add it in the drawable folder which is in the res folder of the Launcher.apk. Just replace the images that are in there with the ones that you find originally there, but make sure you keep the same name. Just edit the image, and not the name. Hope that helps. (And another themer correct me if i'm wrong)
can you add to the one that are currently there or do are you limited to a set number?

Same thing was discussed in another forum as seen in the above quote. But like SG_SHADOW said, and as far as i know, replacing the ones there is the best way to go without getting fc's every time you try to change your wallpaper. Hope that helps
It does and thanks for your help

Is it possible to remove some wallpapers that I never used containing in the launcher.apk? Does that help the performance?

Where is the miui default wallpaper located?

Hello,
While playing around with some selfmade .mtz's including clock, icons etc,
every time I apply the theme.mtz on my htc hd2 with miui 2.6.XX, the wallpaper is resetted to a grass background. I change it back to another background with the thememanager, but as soon as I apply the the .mtz, it changes back to the grass thing.
In the .mtz, I'm working with, there is "icons", "framework-res" and "clock_2x2". I already extracted framework-res to check the pngs in there but no grassy wallpaper.
I also added a "wallpaper"-file including "default_wallpaper.png" and "default_lock_wallpaper.png" but still nothing changed
So my question:
Where is the (grassy) wallpaper located? Which file I have to edit? Or was it me, doing something terribly wrong?
Thanks in advance!
(I hope I'm posting in the correct subforum ...)
System/Framework/Framework-res /res / drawable-hdpi its called default_wallpaper.png
From my fingers to your face.

[Q] Change background in some apps

Hey, is there a method to replace the standard white-ish backround of an app (e.g. Settings) with a custom wallpaper?
If I decompile .apk - can I replace a .png? (simply as that?)
I'm obsessed with X10's 1.6 look (that sexy-blue theme) and wondered if I could transform some of my apps (Conversations, Settings, Contacts) to look like that.
I hope someone will reply, thanks! :silly:
P.S. If there's an easy way to create a theme - it would be even nicer!

I don't know how to create a theme, but on the LT29i, you can replace the "semc_bg_light.png" and "semc_bg.png" files in "/res/drawable-xhdpi" from the "framework-res.apk"; and, I think you might just be able to do this with 7zip, no need to decompile (don't take my word for it because I always decompile anyway).
