Hi. I have flashed talon 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 and benchmarked CPU using quadrant advanced.
I found that all versions got score around 1950 on CPU except v1.6. 1,6 kept getting 1200. Can this be related to JIT or Dalvik cache?
I noticed that other versions got 1300 on first run and subsequent runs got around 1950.
I also used to have 2.3.3 rom with talon 1.1 kernel (i think) where I used to get around 4500 for cpu on subsequent runs...
I tried to post in development section but I dont have permission..
If someone could get this to Talon developer, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks
For one thing. Quadrant is not for our processor

Useless post is useless
I scored sometimes over 8K with CM7 for CPU so that tells you how good Quadrant is lol
Also. Don't try to post stuff like this in development section.

And to be technical, it's version 0.1.7,.not 1.7

When i first flashed the rom i got 1200 repeatedly.
Rebooted installed a few ups, updated some and now i just about hit 1100.
yeah i was getting 1250 when i first got it
after about 150 apps including fonts and live wallpapers
i get 1180-1160
Just a reminder that quadrant actually says very little about the performance of your device..
I'm getting 1400 to almost 1600. But I'm also using darky's rom so I don't know if you want to count that or not
1200 with no lagfix, 1500 with voodoo. phone is running sweet at the moment, much better than when it was scoring 2300 on jp7. Have been running it alternating lagfix on and off, cant notice any real difference

Running Darky's 5.2 rom.
1595 on Doc's v.4.0 with Voodoo lagfix oc1.2Ghz!

Whats the maximum ever anyone got ? I saw the dhd is getting 3000 how reliable is this?

Quadrant scores should only really be treated as a bit of fun, a mate of mine with the hd oc his and got 2932, but the phone was unstable and actually ran slower at that speed then it did stock. As I said earlier my phone scores a consistent 1200 without a lagfix and it is definitely running the best it ever has. I had it overclocked to 1.2 before with oclf and it was scoring 2300-2400, the phone seemed fast but not as smooth and stable as what it does now with jpu installed

I dont get whats going on, now when i try it im getting around 1200 again, seems like the IO score is fluctuating quite a bit!
As a comparison i get 1877
On JP5 using Z4Root and OCLF.
jje
Hi. I just finished OCLF. and the score is 1990. But i heard some one said they can even use lag fix and score benchmark over 2700.so can any 1 tell me which lag fix application to use to achieve such score?
Thanks in advanced .

Universal lagfix using jfs overkill with oc enabled may give u such a score. But benchmark doesnt really mean anything. Im using advanced voodoo oc v69.2 and i score about 1900 and my phone is snappier than ever. With oclf i had 2100 but my phone was still laggy.

Is it available in the market?

Answer = yes but hey overclockers just go out and buy a new one .
A Quadrant score bears no relation to the operation of your phone its an old out of date synthetic benchmark .
jje
I don't know. But after lag fix and benchmark goes from 960 to 1990. I noticed improvement in opening most applications..

Just trust the guy above you. Oclf is outdated

overclock to 1.4Ghz and use JFS should give you 2k+
Okay i'll try to learn how to overclock it to 1.4 GHz and use other method since
OCLF is outdated already..
Thanks alots.. will try more...
Aw, jeez ... ePenis much? Quadrant scores are pointless.
Eclair, lagfixed on EXT2 gave me 2400+.
Froyo 2.2.1 doesn't feel any slower and is somewhere around 1200 (wo lagfix).
Okay i'll get my 3 combo works and Flash to 2.2.1 JPY then let's see..
Thanks..
Is 1500 a low score for a captivate overclocked to 1.2 ghz? Im running the onix kernel with andromeda3. The phone feels blazing fast and I was expecting a 2000ish score. I really could care less about the quadrant score but I am curious because it seems low.

Nah,ur scores fine.Thats what I usually got from the premium roms with ext4.The highest I.ever got was on stock froyo with oneclicklagfix, just above 2000.But seriously that quadrant score doesnt tell me much, currently running Mosaic lll D and have no laggix enabled so my quadrant is at 1000 but everything seems to be running blazing fast.My most ram needy app Asphalt 6 is performing better then on any other froyo based rom with lagfix so really y would any1 give a shi.... about quadrant, just saying

I just installed dal's new kernel along with nook tweak app. Quadrant still shows my clock speed at 1200 when I know I've changed it to 1300. It also isn't going down to 250 like I have as well. SetCPU all sows the same. Rebooted too. Advice? I'm on rooted stock and yes, I used the right kernel.
EDIT: Emaiedl him directly through the market and he had it fixed within a few days. Permissions error. Thanks!
If your on cm7 don't use setcpu it will kill ur battery u overclock in cyanogen settings performance CPU or clock speed

With his new tweaks app, you can set as high as 1.6, although very little if anybody has gotten that to work.
Still rocking the Incredible with the XDA Premium App.

In SetCpu and is set on boot checked?.
I've tried using setcpu but it only shows up to 1200. I have also tried killing the setcpu process and relying on the tweaks app like cm7 but it doesn't work. Custom stepping and set on boot are set through there too.
Hey guys. Ive done some research but didnt seem to get a clear answer for the questions I had.
Im running apex 7.1 with the talon kernal capable to overclock t 1.6.
Can overclocking ruin my phone? Also, if I delete setcpu will my cpu revert back to 1 ghz or will I need to set the max to 1 ghz then remove lol.
Just want some clear answers I guess, you know.

I am using voltage control app by XAN from market. Dont try and hit 1600 in one step. Try and go step by step. Like OC to 1200 and see if ur setup is stable, then try 1400 and so on
To come back to 1 Ghz use voltage control again

So far im at 1.3 doing the stability tests until it goes through 30 cycles of the core.
If it would be unstable it would just reboot the phone correct?

Yeah what Sudacris said!
I was overclocked on DesignGears Cognition ROM when he supported it and I managed to get 1.3Ghz stable, but couldn't get anything past that... but from what I hear it is very device specific, some will, some won't. It all depends.
