Handbrake and volume boost - Nook Color General

I've been searching forever for a solution to boosting encoded movies volume when playing through the NC and it seems I have found one.
I only did this on couple movies and the volume is noticeably louder.
1. Download Handbrake Nighlies (Just Google handbrake nightlies)
2. On Audio Tab > DRC = 4 & volume boost to 20
3 movies I tested on (Yogi Bear, Animaniacs S1 & S2) and the volume on all 3 are noticeably louder after the boost.

Headphones:
-Sony XB-500 (home)
-Klipsch Image S4 (outside)
DSP settings:
- I personally don't any DSP settings. I've noticed it distorts the sound like crazy. If I try to turn up the levels of lows or mids I notice that the overall volume decreases. The bass boost is useless and I used to use the surround effect but it also distorted sound. Any of you have different experiences?
As a side note, I always stream music in the highest quality from spotify

Eh?
Not Equalizing the music is like eating raw meat...
I usually listen to heavy metal and dubstep (videogame remixes ) and I usually decrease a bit (-5db) at 500hz (mids) and raise (+5db) at 87hz (lows) and 8khz (highs).
Artificial bass boosters are a crap, complete Equalizers are better but i dont know any android player that has a complete equalizer (from 30hz to 16khz)

Played around a bit with the default Play Music EQ using both the speaker and a pair of Shure SE115 in-ears. I had the speaker volume at about 75% and the earphones closer to 60%. Both are lacking in the bass department so increasing the first 60hz slider will help with the low range.
Using the speaker EQ adjustments were mostly amounting to a "louder" sound. This makes sense as you're just increasing DB at various ranges and increasing all of them at the same level should increase overall loudness while not adjusting the sound too much.
With tiny speakers in my ears the adjustments were much more profound. Having tried the EQ Off I then switched back and forth between FX Booster and Normal. This was bringing out a lot more in the way of vocals and guitar solos in the Pearl Jam tracks I was listening to without introducing much noise so I settled on something in between those 2 presets as my User having already adjusted the 60hz for Bass on it's own to find the right placement and then bringing the last 14Khz slider down almost in line with that about +7DB.
Stay away from the Surround slider and check to see if it turned itself on randomly like it has for me twice now. On the speaker it didn't seem to make much difference but with in ears it was destroying the sound in an attempt to make it more "live" sounding. This could also potentially lead to distortion at max volumes.
Bass boost is also better left off or at the very minimum allowed setting otherwise bass on my Shures sounded muddied and took away from the rest of the song. Better to increase the DB for the lowest EQ slider instead.
DSP setting. Need to download CM. Will change with results tonight.

Neutron is your best bet for SQ on Android.
I've paid for PlayerPro, Power Amp, and Neutron (and tried out many others). Never found anything that compares to Neutron.

Can I increase the audio volume for a particular Bluetooth Device

When my phone is connected via Bluetooth to my car's hands-free kit, some audio could do with being made a little louder.
For example the navigation prompts from Google Maps are plenty loud enough, but some audio-book MP3s played via MD Player and phone call audio could do with being a bit louder.
I have the volume on the Note 8 and the hands-free kit on maximum.
Is there a way I can apply an audio boost when connected to that particular Bluetooth device (or have it controlled via Tasker)?
There seem to be lots of audio boost/control apps in the Playstore, but many seem to allow control of volume for a device without the ability to boost the volume above "normal".
I tried "Precise Volume (+EQ/Booster)", but the boost function didn't seem to make any difference.
If it makes any difference, I'm using Android Auto when connected to the car.
Bump - Anyone?
the only app in the play store that I have found that actually boosts the volume on this phone without being rooted is one called "volume Booster Goodev"
be careful, though, as it can really crank the volume up..
Thanks for that .... had been looking for a volume boost on the headphone out without rooting and this seems to do the job perfectly.

Youtube audio output (speaker and headphone) is much quieter than other apps

Hi all,
Been using a P20 Pro for nearly 2 weeks and the only issue I have is the volume in YouTube app - its too low when set to max.
When using the loudspeaker and headphones (usb-c to 3.5mm adapter) on both the volume output is not particularly loud. Other apps such as tiktok or even the music player give loud audio output but not the YouTube app.
I turned off the battery optimization but this didn't make a difference. Similarly played around with the atmos setting and doesn't make a difference.
Compared to my S7 Edge, the P20 Pro cannot be heard using YouTube and loudspeaker with side by side tests.
It seems to be a software issue - has anyone else noticed this?
someone check for me please, im using EMUI 9.1.0
I think it's due to music player supporting Dolby Atmos while other apps can't. Can confirm YouTube plays at lower volume than Music player, not sure about Tik Tok as I haven't used that.

Question Low volume on mobile games

Is there a fix or workaround regarding the low volume from the dual speakers while playing games? YouTube videos are plenty loud but the overall volume while playing games is on the low side. Yes, I do have TWS earphones but I prefer not to use them while playing. Any suggestions? Thanks!
