Did you install the 1.2 uBoot too?
What about the OC kernel? is it the 5/13 for 2.6.32 ?

Im not sure what the uboot is if im honest. the oc kernal is 5/13 2.6.32
i was unable to get into it before i installed the oc kernal so i don't think that is the problem.
anyone? still unable to get it working.
I've been having the exact same problem. After clicking on CyanogenMod Settings, I get the error "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have tried three different CM7 nightlies (78,75,73) and all give the same error. No OC kernel, no uBoot.
looks like i've borked my system trying to fix this. I went into rom manager and chose to fix permissions. This has resulted in me getting fc on everything i do almost. I think best bet is to start from scratch. is there a guide on how to wipe everything & backup? Before i always installed over the top & i feel this is what could be causing the problem.
yeah, im no dev but it sound like it would be best to start over, and yes, you really should wipe cache before flashing. i hope this helps.
cm wiki, would be a good place to start.

I get this as well. I finally got the 85 nightly working and this is the only force close that I get now. When I started, I tried nightly 87 and also loaded update-cm7-dalingrin-2.6.32-emmc-051311.zip. I have cleaned everything up and started fresh. Is it possible that kernel is still installed and I have to reinstall the .zip? I did not install the ALSA update as suggested as the link was dead.
Same issue on nightly 97. No uboot or kernel stuff, not even sure what that stuff is lol. I did run the wipe before flashing, but maybe that failed somehow? What does the CM settings allow you to do anyway?
Themes? PhireMod? You guys have something in common you need to figure out.
Did everyone use the instructions for flashing from the nook color portal (like me) or from the cm websites wiki which talks about the kernel and u boot?
Bump? Anyone else on how they installed?
I installed using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030227. No issues.

I would (in order) do the following (testing after each step)
1) Disable all overclocking (many ROMs overclock by default) and this sometimes leads to instability
2) Perform a FULL WIPE and install a stable ROM (not the latest and greatest).
Something like CM6 or an older version of of any other MOD.
3) If this still doesn't work, I would revert back to an even more stable config to see if it may be a hardware problem. This would mean some type of stock, eclair (2.1) based SBF for you carrier.
You could look at logcat output to see if any more details are available for your error. But this may not yield anything useful...
First, thanks to the developers and participants. Great work!!
All was well with my Nook Color with
CM7 7.0.2 stable, Google apps / market, Dalingrin OC emmc-040411
Then I upgraded to CM7 7.0.3
All seemed fine except I couldn't tether via USB to my computer, which I need to do.
Someone on another thread said that this was a known issue with 7.0.3. No problem, so I used Clockworkmod recovery to revert to CM7 7.0.2., then reflashed Google Apps and the Dalingrin OC to get back to where I started before the 7.0.3 upgrade.
Everything seemed fine except for the frequent error message saying that Android.Process.Media stopped unexpectedly.
So far, video doesn't work, Android App market downloads don't work and I'm sure they'll be a few more apps but it's hard to tell since the message pops up randomly (or so it seems.) The NC also seems to freeze more than normal.
Any suggestions as to how I get clean this error? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Never mind, Knaries2000 answered it in another thread.
The solution was to go to Settings/Applications/All, find Media Storage and delete it's data, then reboot.
Many thanks Knaries2000 !!!
I wish I could say never mind! I have this problem also.
I just rooted my NC last night.
CWR 3.0.2.8
ManualNooter-4-6-16
CM7 nightly-206
Google Apps 20110613
I've gone into the setup and cleared the cache as stated above, rebooted...no luck. I also read on another thread to use CWR to clear cache also, but that did not help either.
Any other suggestions?

You want CWR version 3.2.0.1..................
Thanks! Worked like a charm.
So I am on CM 7.1 RC1 and running VTL ADW with the OC kernel. On a reboot, I will have all my widgets say "failed to load." Sometimes the add button won't even show up. Restarting ADW doesn't help. In fact nothing seems to help except removing them all and putting them back up again.
So far, I have tried a few different launchers (most of them ADW based), I have tried wiping the data. I have tried a factory reset, formatting System, Data, and Cache, and COMPLETELY reinstalling everything from scratch.
While not the big issue, but possibly somehow related, I noticed that Kindle is missing from the apps list, even though it claimed it was installed last night, and I have the bug where Navigation from Maps disappears on a reboot (but reappears temporarily on a reinstall).
I'm running out of ideas - has anyone else had anything similar to this?

Update to a latest nightly, there was a Widget fix that went in a week or so ago.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. I thought mine was direct off the nightly. Cubed passed the CM7 on to me, so I can't be positive. I have build GRJ22 on the 2.6.32.9 kernel.

You'd have to check, but if you're on the 7.1 RC that's several weeks old.
Hey all, I'm running CM7 7.1 rc-1... I just installed dalingrin's latest oc kernel... And it killed my wifi.. It's really bugging me. My nc is currently oc'd @ 1200.. With a min speed of 600. Is the kernel killing my wifi? Or is it the overclocking?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
interesting. I had the same experience. My case went a little bit further than that as I lost my whole config after trying to fix it ... long story short, after fixing my nook and re-installing back to stock (1.0.1 then upgrade to 1.3). I tried again, installed same distro on SD but I put all the zip files at the same time on the sd card for install (7.1, gapps and OC); everything got installed and no more wifi problems. I also upgraded to full nightly 212. So far, so good.
I also noticed something: after testing a few apps, I would get a weird behavior. In rom manager, fix permissions would fix most of the issues.

hmm.. interesting. I'll give that a try and tell you what happens.
update:
I tried to install the stock firmware by deleting cwm, repartitioning boot to stock (after installing stock 1.1)... now it just loops on the "nook color by bn" screen. any suggestions?
Follow the instructions here and start all over. Choose nightly 200 or higher and make sure you use the latest version of CWR (3.2.0.1): http://mrm3.net/nook-color-how-to-install-cyanogenmod-nightlies/

Hi folks. Lately I've been having a couple of issues with my LG Optimus 2X and wondered if I could get some advice on fixing the problems?
When I turn on my device or reboot I sometimes get a Google services framework error. After dismissing the error everything still seems to work.
When receiving a call my handset occasionally reboots when I go to unlock the screen (I'm using the default CM7 lock screen).
Should I try a factory reset? Should I try reinstalling the rom (temasek's CM7 kang v135.1),* kernel (symbi0sis v1.2) or gapps (gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip.md5)?
Where is the best place to get gapps?
Any advice would be muchly appreciated.

as I understand from your post...looks like that you are rooted and using Temasek's CM7 Custom ROM? Is that right?
Go to recovery, wipe data, cache and Dalvik through CWM. Re-flash the Temasek's ROM and the Kernel if you want.( there are other custom ROMs like Django Manouche, Stefan's Hybrid, Flix's and so on. these ROMs have gapps already part of itself)
If this does not work, try the LG update tool and then you are in the right Version suited for your region and then you can root it, then start fresh....though it is starting form scratch but it will be great that way....
Hope it helps
